For real life, you can give them each a little container of bubbles. Candy always works because people love candy. Don't deny it! A balloon? Idk, whatever works that can fit in a bag.

okay, here's my ideas, but this is coming from what someone might call a "northern redneck"...and i'm also male : yes, fireworks, but give out the little ones on sticks! i know this really fun game where you light the little firework, then wait a couple seconds and throw it! it goes for a bit, then suddenly flies in some odd direction! it's called redneck roullette. hehe you could also go out on a boat, if you live anywhere with even the faintest hint of a coast. ice skating is always fun...or so my sister says... for her sweet sixteen, she and her friends dressed up really nicely and went skating on the lake, then went to a dumb dinner (where you can't talk during the entire dinner) i heard it was fun, but i wasn't invited (thank god!) it's also really fun (if someone in your family is a skilled chef) to have an oddly shaped cake. last year, my mom figured a way to shape a cake like yoda's head (i'm a star wars geek) and we also have tons of cake molds: batman, marvin the martian, a lamb, and more that i don't remember... (though, i prefer angelfood. if you've read the book "high rise glorious, skittle skat roarious, sky-pie, angelfood cake", you'll never want any cake besides angelfood...well, I don't anyway) or you could go hunting...i went to a birthday weekend with a friend of mine, and we had cake and opened presents on the first day, then went out hunting, and his dad wouldn't let us leave until each of us had shot something. so it technically wasn't a weekend, because we stayed there for five days...but, you get the picture or, something that i did on my actual birthday: i went to the beach and swam about a half-mile to a little island, then stayed there for about an hour before swimming back. it was only with two of my friends, and we didn't bring food while we were swimming, but we had stuff to munch on when we were done, cause we were HUNGRY!

oh yea i forgot to mention that the party i was planning for almost a year got killed. The parents stomped out the idea like a bug. gonk
oh well, i'm kinda over it but not quite. It's not easy to get over things that you really wanted...a girl can dream... cry
i'm still having a mini-party with 15 people, so i still get to plan that :]
