Cheebs saluted Cole with his wings. Aye aye!

Shinta lifted his head and smiled reassuringly at Hikari. "This one hopes you will be able to speak to your mother again."

The swordsman picked up Cheebs in one arm, then stood and walked to the door."And remember: keep hope in your heart. There are other realms besides the one we fear she may be calling from. "

Natsuko followed him to the door, then stopped and smiled at Hikari, Good luck child, I know you probably can't hear me, but I wish it anyway. I hope you can find your mother. It is a great love that inspires her to do this. Knowing Cole was aware of her presence she added, Good luck to you as well Cole-san.

Each gave a small bow of their heads (Cheebs mimicking rather clumsily from his position in Shinta's arms) then they left.

As Shinta walked out, S.Cole smiled at him and turned back to Hikari. The shadow seemed to be ready to say something, but stopped abruptly. In a puff of black smoke, S.Cole vanished from the room. With the black smoke cleared from where S.Cole was, Cole was revealed standing there. He looked at Hikari and smiled.

"So, you want me to take you to another realm? Very well, we can leave when ever you please."

*Hikari was a little startled again when Cole's shadow abruptly disappeared. This slightly annoyed her since she was usually startled by nothing. Her hearing could let her detect the tiniest sound, even just the rush of air as someone appeared or disappeared. But given recent events, she was not really paying much attention to anything extraneous.*

I'm ready now. Um...so how does this work exactly?

Cole smikred when Hikari asked him how the realm jumping worked. He thought back briefly about the first few times he did make plane jumps...

"It's rather simple, first: I need to know where we're going. Second: We're going to have to go through The Realm to find the gate leading to the plane you seek. And third: I need you to trust me when things get a little unnerving."

*Hikari's ears drooped as she heard Cole's instructions*

But I dont know where it was coming from... The only thing I could feel was a vague presence before I passed out. It was Shinta who told me it might be from another realm in the first place. He also said there were Realms that were not of the dead that were a possibility...

I thought if we just go to the Astral plane, I could try and sense where it was coming from more strongly. I could find out from what Realm it was coming from. The only place I could think to try right now is the Realm of the Dead.

Nodding his head, Cole turned towards the wall and placed his hands out. Focusing his energy, Cole began to move his hands and arms in a strange fashion, whispering the spidery language of magic under his breath...

"Tria fila nigra promissiva migi limitaonem tres per dis"

Once Cole finished his incantation, a portal of swirling black and purple energy appeared on the wall. Cole stepped close to it and turned to Hikari, holding out his hand.

"Shall we go?"

*Hikari felt a surge of magic as a swirl of strange light...or the absence of it...formed a portal in the room. Her stomach tightened as she realized this was really going to happen. She smiled at Cole. She had never met anyone like him.*

I'm ready.

*Hikari grasped Cole's hand firmly. She shivered involuntarily, as though she had become cold very suddenly. They stepped through the portal together and they and the portal vanished in a whisp...leaving the room empty*

"Well, hope this works...," Adhara said to the now empty room. "May as well go find something else to do until they get back. Now where did I leave my book?"

She glanced about, but saw it nowhere. Then she remembered that she'd put it on the counter inthe kitchen when they'd had lunch. She thought of the kitchen and teleported away.

((Bah, sorry I was MIA for a little while. ^^; I might be a little better when I'm home for a week and a half, except on the holidays. smile ))

Aideki usually never went into her room in the Pagoda, but occaisonlly she'd slip in there for reason she didn't know. Upon entering her room, the walls, couch, ect suddenly turned a beating blood red. She jumped out of the room in shock, hitting against the wall and sliding to the floor. She couldn't remember her room suddenly completely changing colours upon her arrival, but then again, she couldn't remember ever entering her room. Was this indeed the first time?
She slowly got to her feet, watching her room with wide eyes as if a monster may jump out of it at any time. But seeing that it was safe, and at the same time having a feeling in the back of her mind that it would indeed always be safe, she entered into her room.
Forgetting about the uncanny behavior of her room, she began to pace back and forth in thought.

She sat down on the sofa, closed her eyes, then opened them again and got back up, continuing her pacing. She was having a revelation and though it was thin, she tried hard to capture its essence and figure out what it was trying to say.
"Follow the Blood Star from Tear's Point east..." she whispered, then shook her head, "No, that can't be right... Could it?"
She sighed, stopped, and looked around her room. The beating blood red colour of everything was giving her a head ache and though she strived to change emotion to change the room colour, she knew it ws useless. 'It' was making the room red, because 'it' knew she detested that colour.
"Fine.." she grumbled, and left her room.

As time had passed for so long the soft sound of her door sliding open echoed through the empty hall, all silent at her rare appearance from the shadowy depths of that scared place as her velveted footpaws glided noislessly from the room only to find the stairs. It had been some time for her, yet she feared not of the others and only made her way down the numerous flights of stairs to explore a bit.

I wonder how long it will take these to heal. Those demons must've cast a spell or coated their weapons with something that caused wounds to resist healing...
