Last year's Birthday - When I was presented with my gifts and cake I came to find it was completely phantom based. The tags were phantom, the cards were phantom, the music was phantom, my at-the-time-boyfriend was phantom (yes, he had dressed up as Erik for me. XD), and hell even my cake was phantom.. It was pure awesome-ness.. Then. While opening one of my gifts I found it.
My Susan Kay novel.
Words cannot begin to describe the ecstasy and sudden love for my family I got. XP
Now all that's left is to go see it live on broadway. crying
Just a few days ago: I was visiting New Orleans, in the morning my mum and I went to the Wax museum in the French Quarter. It's mostly just little sets depicting some of the historical stuff regarding New Orleans. But near the end there was a small gallery of wax figures based off horror movies/stories/etc. Of course, we went through there. And who did we find? None other than Gaston Leroux-Erik! whee heart whee That just made my day. Unfortunately, I couldn't hug it as was my first inclination (it being behind rope to keep people from touching and all) But I DID manage to get some pictures.. Maybe I'll post em whenever I unload my digital camera of the trip photos.

After seeing the new movie when it first came out, I bugged my mom until she bought it for me and vola! I have the Leroux Phantom of the Opera book.....now I wish I only had the susan kay book.....maybe I can sweetly talk Solytaire into letting me borrow it *bats eye lashes at Solytaire* But I do have, along with the original book, the new movie on dvd, lon chaney PotO, and Robert Englund PotO. I have also seen another veeeeery strange version...which disturbbed me...Erik had no mask or deformity, and stuck rats down his pants for pleasure.....*shudder* baaad....it was like Phatom of the Opera was mad into a veeery bad porno *shudder, goes to kill the people that made that version*

Eriko_Kaori Youko-chan I saw that movie. ;~~~; I think I needed serious therapy when it was over. So I crawled into my room, hid under my desk, and called my friend. xd
