"I... I... I'm not afraid of you..." Vanessa stuttered. "You... You better not kill me. I... I can fight back." Vanessa was clearly very nervous. She stepped a little closer to the two figures. "Who... Who are you talking about? No one else is here besides us three..."

Violet's turned to look at Vanessa, her head at an angle that would have been impossible had she been human. She was silent for a moment befoe she began to laugh, her grin and eyes making her look insane. "Why would i want to kill you? Your nothing to me. Besides, i don't work that way, you can't fight a thought," she replied, still laughing a little. Shaking her head to get a grip on herself she added, "Oh theres someone here all right, they just don't want to be seen...probably an angel who wants to protect you from bad old me," Violet returned to looking around, not looking at Vanessa she spoke again. "Who are you anyway? throwing yourself into someones conversation's rude you know,"

It was obvious the lady with the wings had sensed her, quite easily as a matter of fact. There was no sense in hiding now and she made herself known to them by coming out in the open. Walking towards them, her eyes were fixed on Dream, hoping he would recognize her from the mirage image she had sent him earlier. She stopped a few feet from him and faced the demon. It would be easy for her to tell from Leila's hair and eyes that she was a demon herself, but possibly not what kind. "I...have nothing to hide from you. I was simply unsure as to whether you would attack this human here or not," she gestured towards Dream. "Nor was I throwing myself into the conversation since I clearly could not hear what was going on between the three of you." She turned to Vanessa and nodded a kind greeting.

"I..I'm Vanessa. I had no one to talk to... I thought you were at least.... Human." Vanessa backed away a little from the un-humanlike character. She knew that she was getting herself in trouble, but she wasn't about to back down. "And who do you think you are excluding me from a conversation? No one... No one excludes Vanessa."

Dream smiled. Company was fun sometimes. "In that case, you are not excluded. Join in if you want." He looked at the other demon. "You can as well."

Vanessa looked aat the other-wordly creature. "Who are you? and where are you from?" Vanessa looked at the black water. Suddenly, a huge wave came crashing onto the jagged rocks along the shorline. A large, metal box had washed up on shore. Vanessa went over to look at the monstrous object. She touched the object, and although it looked hard, it was suprisingly very soft. All of a sudden, a green light shown, and everyone on the beach were sucked into the box. They appeared in a black room that looked never ending. 'Where... Where are we?"

He laughed. "I've been in places like this before. Unless this is an exception, then we're fine for now. So, I guess I should introduce myself." He lit up the area with an orb of light he created in his palm, and placed it on the ground. They could see now, at least. "My name is Dream Starr. I'm a human, but you are right in thinking I'm not from here." He lifted his hand, showing the emblem on the glove to Vanessa. "I'm from a planet known as Popstar, home of the Star Warriors."

Vanessa suppressed a laugh. "Popstar?" She said smiling. She was clearly amused with the name of the planet. "Well uh I'm Vanessa. I'm from... Well, here. But I've been to other planets. I've battled demons with my bare hands. I've brough back plenty of stuff from the places I've been. Here. I have so much stuff that I need to get rid of some of it." Vanessa shoved her hand into her pocket. When she pulled her hand out, there was a flat rock in it. It looked ordinary, but after a few moments it began to glow a very bright light. You could see a scene in it. The scene showed a boy as a little kid. He was on the planet Popstar, running around in a giant hole. "I suppose that's you." Vanessa said, smiling. This was the first time Vanessa ever smiled. Vanessa handed the rock to Dream, and the scene faded out of sight, and the rock returned to it's normal greyish color.

Violet looked around at their surrondings unimpressed. "This place is worse then head office, and thats saying something," she muttered, wrapping her wings around herself she turned to look at the others, her emerald eyes glowing like a cats in the semi-darkness. Her attention was drawn to the other demon, she hadn't seen her before, and Violet made it a habit to know everyone. "Whats your name?...i haven't seen you before," she asked, her voice sounding soft and quiet in the darkness. As she spoke she looked at Dreams glove, her head on one side like a listening animal again.

Dream continued to converse with Vanessa. "Well, if you don't know about Popstar, it's a planet known for Star Warriors. Also home of the Fountain of Dreams, which once held the Star Rod. Now I hold it." He smiled. "No, that's not me, but I did know him. He's still in training, I imagine." He held the rock in his hand, feeling its power. It was definately not from Popstar, but somewhere nearby. He gave it back to Vanessa. "You can keep it. The only things I need from other planets are my memories of them."

Vanessa shoved the rock back into her pocket. "I've heard so much of the... DID YOU SAY FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS?! Your kidding me! I've been doing so much research on that, trying to figure out where it is! My grandparents, they said that the only way I could figure out my fate was from the Fountain of Dreams. They told me I had to figure out where it was myself. I've looked at map after map, book after book, searching for the location. Please, you need to take me there." Vanessa was so excited that she had forgotten all about the other two creatures that were with Dream and her. "Please... I really need to get there. It's my only hope... YOU'RE my only hope... Please."

He blinked. "That was... unexpected... I suppose I could bring you there sometime. Shouldn't be too difficult." He took out his Star Rod, the star at the top illuminating the area much more efficiantly than his orb had. "Is there any time you wish to go?"

"I don't care when I go, I just care THAT I go." Vanessa looked around the room, and now that it was lit up, she could see that it was a long hallway, and at the end of the hallway was a door. "Hey, you said you've been in places like these. What's through that door then?" Vanessa walked a little closer to the door.

I knew there was a reason i didn't like humans," Violet muttered under her breath. With a sigh that whistled through her grinning teeth she turned a full circle, looking at the darkness curiously, trying to judge how deep it went. Experimentaly she held out her hand, pressing against the unknown. When Vanessa pointed out the door she went toward it, hand outstreched to open it. .

"Well, if there's an obvious route to go, I suggest we first see if there's one that's less obvious. For example, most places like this have a door in the ground, well hidden. Or somewhere nearby. Unless they expect us to find the hidden one, and the real one is the obvious one... It depends on how much the people who made it expect its prisoners to think." He looked at Violet. "I may just leave this up to you, if you want. You have more motive for leaving than I do."
