'Misunderstanding? Him disappearing? Who's him?' Kuoni sighed heavily. "I can't. She- I- it would just make things worse." How could she explain this? She pondered a second longer before Aphrodite's last statement kicked in. "Wait- what? Who's out to get me? Who's him?" Why would someone be after her? Unconciously, she lifted a paw and wrapped it around her belly. If someone was after her... would her puppies be in danger too?

Aphrodite shook her head. "No it would help make things better. Trust me. Fiorenza is going..... she's..... losing her mind." She said quickly, "All over what happened. You have to give her a chance to try and make things right; to apologize. Everyone deserves a second chance." She stopped and shook her head. "No I can't tell you...... No one in my pack will. We've stopped saying his name because of what it does to your mom." She explained with a sigh, "But you really should know...." She paused and moved her head around like she was checking to see if there was anyone else around. "Mi-....... Michelangelo isn't the same anymore. He's the one out to get you..... He's really really bad now...... that stupid witch! It's her fault he's changed; that he's evil and out to destroy his real family." She said falling silent then speaking again, "So you have to come back and stay..... at least with your father. The woods is Michelangelo's home now..... He can pop out and attack at any moment."
A little ways away from Kuoni and Aphrodite a slightly older Caderyn watched with interest. So my new brother's old forgotten sister has finally showed up..... and looks like she's pregnant. He thought with a smile, Mikey will be greatly interested in this. I'll have to tell him about this.... especially if she's stays in the woods. She'll be at our mercy... He then turned around and ran off towards home before he was caught.

Kuoni clenched her jaw. Forgive Fiorenza? She's losing her mind? Kuoni had been nursing her anger since running away. Growing up thinking like she had... could it be that simple to change? And if Fiorenza was losing her mind... how was daddy? She was about to ask when Aphrodite continued on. Her mouth dropped open. "Mikey... is... bad? But- he was Fiorenza's favorite. Why's he mad at me? Because I hit him? He'd attack me for that?"
She should have said something better, that made more sense, but she couldn't understand. Was still sorting this shocker out. She knew her brother wasn't the best at being a brother... but turning evil? That didn't sound like the little boy who had been so much like daddy. Her thoughts kept her from hearing Caydern leave.
But still, she couldn't stay with daddy. She'd want to keep staying for sure. And if what Aphrodite said was true... she wasn't going to risk the puppies by staying out here. "Can't I just hide out with you or something?" She asked. "Then I could... I could see Fiorenza. Once." She didn't like the sound of it, but if she could help daddy's mate, in turn helping daddy, she would.

Aphrodite shook her head. "No one knows why he changed but it's more than likely from him living with Agrona now. She's a really evil wolf and now he..... he...... thinks of her as his mother..... He denounced his real family..... your family. I'll have to explain what happened to you a bit later." She said, "And truthfully I don't think he was Fiorenza's favorite. I think it was you and Rudolf. Then Aludra is her favorite grandchild.... probably because she's so much like Aisling when she was young." She tilted her head for a moment taking note of how Kuoni said Fiorenza instead of mother. "I live with my owner..... and Fiorenza. I've only been away from home so long because I've been looking for you." She said, "If you liked you can stay but you'll be with your mother too."

Kuoni narrowed her eyes. How dare that thing take her brother and turn him! But that feeling soon was driven off to make room for more. "He wasn't her favorite?" But she hadn't said anything to him during the fight. Aphrodite wouldn't lie to her.
"You were looking for me? All this time?" She lowered her eyes to the ground. She needed just a little more time before seeing Fiorenza again. She needed to sort out all this new information. "I can't see her. Not just yet." She said. "Maybe tomorrow, or the day after. But not today. Please..."

Aphrodite nodded. "No he wasn't. He got on her nerves running around all the time talking about nothing but parties. He wore her out all the time." She said, "Why would you thing he was her favorite?" She nodded once again. "Of course I was. In fact everyone was looking for you for the first week and most of the second. Your parents got together and got the two packs to look for you. They almost never came home and tried to get everyone to keep searching when they all gave up hope. But everyone convinced them to give up." She explained, "That's fine but I don't know where we're going to stay. Perhaps we can find an empty room in the house."

Kuoni blinked rapidly. All that she had grown thinking seemed to be false. Had she really left home over nothing? Nearly starved or froze to death for a misunderstanding. Misplaced the love she had once felt for Fiorenza... Kuoni squeezed her eyes shut, her chin dropping fully onto her chest. What had she done? Maybe... she couldn't find it right now, but maybe there was still a place in her for Fiorenza. Could she let herself believe?
Daddy and Fiorenza had both been trying to find her. It was painful to think all this, and started making her head hurt. She looked back up at Aphrodite through one blurry eye, the other still squeezed shut. "What do you mean "we?" "We" is not finding a place. I am finding a place. You don't-" She gasped as a flash of light slipping through the trees brought pain to her eye and head. She squeezed it back shut. "You don't have to do anything. Just make sure Fiorenza doesn't find out I'm here. At least, not yet."

"Well that's kinda a problem..... I'm pretty much lost." She said, "So I can't find my way home to my owner's cabin. I said we because I need you and your eyes to find help find the main house." She heard Kuoni's gasp and tilted her head. "What's wrong?"

Kuoni shook her head. "Maybe you could smell your cabin. I'll help you get most of the way there, within sight of it. Then with you reoriented, you can point me to the main house. Someone secret I know there owes me." 'If I can raise his pups myself, he can find me a place to hide and give birth.'
She gave a scornful snort of sour laughter. "What's wrong? Just everything apparently!" She stood up and started pacing. "If all you say is true, I've ruined my family. I ran away, so the packs lost their time in searching for me. Sounds like Mikey also ran away. Note that it wasn't until I had done so, so it was probably because of the fight. Because he ran off, he was found by some b!%@$ who turned him bad. I've caused Fiorenza to go crazy, and who knows how daddy's taking it! I'm having puppies who are going to grow up without their real father! You've been lost in the woods for weeks! It's all because of me!" She sat down heavily, then stretching out and covering her head with her paws. Could someone's head really split open?

Aphrodite chuckled. "If only finding the cabin would be that easy. I haven't smelled in over a week so I must be a ways from it." She said about to speak again when Kuoni's rant and news caught her, "You're WHAT?! Pregnant?! When did this happen?! Aren't you still a little young? You were only a pup a few weeks ago." She stopped then shook her head. "Well anyways...... I was asking why you gasped. You sounded like you got hurt." She said with a sigh, "No one said Mikey ran away...... we don't know what happened to him. He never came home..... maybe Agrona kidnapped him and brainwashed him." She paused then continued. "Fiorenza is mainly going crazy because she blames herself and because she lost her dear children. You know about your other sister who they had to give away..... and then she lost you and then Mikey. As for me, I did this of my own free will and because we're friends. You would have done the same for me."

Groaning again, Kuoni held her head tighter. Why did that have to slip out!? Now Aphrodite knew about the pups. She only clenched her teeth together and stayed silent, letting the anthro talk on. She stayed silent until well after the anthro had done.
"I would have," She said softly. "Only you're not stupid enough to do such a thing." She took a slow breath. "I don't know how to do this... it's like all this is a bunch of needles in my mind. It hurts. A lot. Everything I thought I knew... is wrong. Wrong because I was a stupid and emotional puppy." She paused. "I'm not a puppy anymore though. Why don't I know what to do? Daddy seemed to always know. Even Fiorenza.."

Aphrodite looked at Kuoni and started to see colors of turmoil and confusion. She shook her head and then hugged Kuoni. "Stupid to do what? Come look for you or have puppies?" She asked, "No one knows what to do all the time. We all take a guess and do what we think is right or best at the time." She patted Kuoni's head. "You don't need to know how to do everything and when you start thinking about it too much and when your head starts to hurt, stop and look around you while taking a deep breath. Go do something else until you feel better. What you need to do will come to you when you least expect it, when you aren't focused on it." She said, "And you weren't a stupid and emotional puppy. Anyone would have done what you did. And remember we all make mistakes and have misunderstandings."

Kuoni gulped back a cry. "I meant, you're not stupid enough to run away." She said as she buried her face into Aphrodite's fur. 'You're also not stupid enough to create life with the first male you meet as an adult.' She curled against Aphrodite, letting the anthro's voice and scent sooth her. Soon, the headache dulled. It wouldn't entirely go away, but it probably wouldn't go away for a while. Probably not until she straightened things out with her parents. And the others. Okay, so don't focus on it... what else was there for her to focus on?
Nodding, nuzzling her head against her friend's arm, she wriggled slightly to stand up. "We should start looking for the house then." She said. She started to turn away, but paused. "But first..." Looking back, Kuoni reached out and gently took Aphrodite's wrist in her jaw. She slowly guided the anthro's hand to the swell of her belly. "Here... see?" She whispered, watching the anthro's face closely. She couldn't help but feel some happiness about being pregnant. Would her friend see that? Would she find a way to get excited too? Or will she only see it as an irrisponsible thing a dumb, childish adult might do.

"Ah. Well I've never had a reason to run away and it's kinda hard to run away when you can't see where you're going." Aphrodite said with a chuckle, "Yeah I suppose so." She stopped when Kuoni put her paw on her swollen belly. "So the puppies are in here....." She said with a faint smile, "I wonder if they'll have your flowers."

Kuoni wagged her tail when only the smile shown on Aphrodite's face. "I hope they do." She glanced at the strange new flower pattern that covered her. Her friend didn't know the flowers had changed. She thought about telling the anthro about it now, but her stomach let out a growl. She was hungry from the long walk. "Do you have to eat something special if you're having puppies?" She asked, giving Aphrodite a soft nudge for them to move on.
