divineseraph Actually, I hear that one a lot. My response- "What causes pregnancy, then?" Thier retort- "Sperm meeting egg" My response- "And how does sperm get to be in the same place as the egg, exactly" Them- *ka-subject-change* or "You're using an emotional appeal (somehow)! " Well, when a man and a woman love each other very much, the man ejaculates into a plastic cup and hands it to the lab technician. And the woman--did they teach you what an aspiration needle is in school, hon?

Family Guy reference, correct? The lesbians who made Stewie's brother, through a random, hilarious chain of events?
But yeah, as for another one- "Sex is natural!"- Yes, yes it is. So is taking a dump on the ground. You'd get arrested for that, though.
Not to say that sex should be illegal, of course. But naturality (if that's a word) has nothing to do with legality or morality.
Also- "Rabbits can abort!"- yes, in conditions in which childbirth would put them at risk of starvation or death. The next time a rabbit aborts because it doesn't want to interrupt class time, I'll become pro-choice.

They, iirc, and other small mammals can also bite the heads off their newborn infants and eat them. Should that be legal too?

Do they want to be like animals (well techically humans are animals but you get the point)? Rabbits don't abort cause they think their too young to have kids, they don't go to work or school so that doesn't effect them, they don't worry about gaining weight (which you can lose anyways). They do it cause their at risk and rabbits don't know right from wrong or have laws.

Could someone explain to me how being pregnant prevents you from the physically demanding process of sitting through one to two hours of class, doing homework, etc.? I mean, does the brain shut down the process of higher thinking or something? I certainly never noticed it during my two pregnancies. P.S. Yes, if you're studying to be a fire fighter or something, that could get in the way. But normal courses? Algebra, biology, economics?

rabbits also run around naked, s**t everywhere, eat only vegetables, and raise their children in holes in the ground. That's a pretty poor model to follow for what should be legal and illegal.

Here's another winner, not from a debate, just a general attitude.
"But most guys I know would never have anything to do with a girl who's had an abortion, and it's disgusting."
I have to ask, why is it disgusting? Don't guys have the CHOICE of who they want to have a relationship with? Don't they have the CHOICE not to involve themselves with someone likely to kill their children? Where is the disgusting part?

I know lots of guys think women are less attractive after they've had kids. You'd think they'd prefer women aborted any pregnancies so they don't get flabby. rolleyes

Funny thing, I could never actualy date a woman who has a kid...I dont know, I guess I'd feel like I'm imposing on that child (when perhaps that what she really wants, a strong and moral male figure for her kid)
But...I guess I love what pregnancy does to a woman. I cant stand skinny minnies. I love a woman with curves and a good amount of meat on her bones. Basicly, I love a veloptuous woman. I love big hips, big curves, and I dont mind a chub...or two...or three whee

Here's a new one I've recently heard: Human life isn't a human, a human isn't a person. I swear they are all crazy.

shadowmancer101 Here's a new one I've recently heard: Human life isn't a human, a human isn't a person. I swear they are all crazy. Tch, don't you know that anything with human DNA is a human? That's why people are waiting in line to adopt tumors... Of course they must deny the fetus is human or a person. They MUST, because otherwise they would have to face the ugly truth of what they are doing. Much as people used to deny that blacks were human.

its hard to give a lot of arguments about just plain abortion, but the late term or whatever makes me wanna kill doctors. i think it would be justified, kill every doctor and nurse who had ever taken part in an abortion.
Lyme edit: I'm not quite sure how this got past for so long, but I'm thinking it was a time when there weren't many moderators around. No. Killing an abortionist isn't justified, and it isn't smart. Enough said.
