Serenity looked around herself as they walked. So Skye wanted some flowers for her crown ... she knew she had seen some, somewhere around there ... but where had they been? And for that matter, where was that place in relation to where they were now? She had no idea where they were - but she wasn't worried. Celebor would find them.

Celebor meanwhile was trudging through the grass and feeling rather lonely. Being a knight wasn't quite what he had expected it would be. He could hardly see over the top of the grass, and he had no idea where either of his sisters were. Which, he knew, was the point: he had to find them; but he wanted to find them quickly so that they could play a game together that didn't require them separating.

The moving grass did nothing to help him find them: it was a breezy day, and all of the grass was moving. He thought about getting a stick to poke through the grass with, but he was worried about hitting one of his sisters then. He sighed and kept on going.

Skye spotted a rosebush and slipped her hand out of Serenity's. She rushed forward excitedly, the fragrance of the beautiful flowers already filling her nostrils. The bush was full of the crimson flowers, some of which were in full bloom, others of which were half open, and some of which were barely past the budding stage. The ground around the bush was grass-less, as though someone had created a flowerbed in the middle of the meadow - though it was more than likely natural.

She reached up to pluck one of the roses and pricked her thumb on a thorn. She cried out, more with surprise than with pain, and yanked her hand back again, then looked at her thumb. There was a growing red spot in the middle of it ... she was bleeding.

"Skye!" Serenity cried, hearing her sister's cry of pain. She ran forward and threw her arms around her in a tight hug, then looked down at her hand. "Are you okay?" she asked anxiously, cupping Skye's injured hand in her own two hands. She wiped off the blood (really it was only a drop, albeit a large one) then kissed the injured thumb.

"All better," she smiled, hugging Skye again. "You have to be more careful Skye! Don't hurt yourself, all right?"

Skye didn't know why Serenity was hugging her, but she was getting that warm feeling again that she liked so much and so she hugged her back with all the strength she could muster - which because of her size wasn't a whole lot.

Then she pushed herself out of the embrace and reached up once more to take a rose. She was careful this time - she had learned her lesson about thorns - and she plucked the rose successfully without hurting herself again. She sat down and removed her flower crown and started weaving the rose into it, weaving it in such a way that the thorns on it would never come close to her head.

"That's a good idea!" Serenity smiled, kneeling down next to Skye and watching her work. "You're very good at this, Skye. Just be careful with the thorns, you don't want to get hurt again."

She wanted to make something too - though she knew she wasn't good at making a crown, she still wanted to weave something. She went back to the grass and ripped off several dozen blades, then lay them on the ground in a row. She picked several more and lay them across the first ones she had taken. She liked the look of that ... it reminded her of a blanket. So she lay down on her stomach and, leaning on her elbows, started weaving them together.

Skye picked off another rose and wove it into her crown, her face a permanent smile. The scent of the beautiful flowers was only growing stronger the more she picked, and she loved it. For her the smell was not overpowering or stifling, and she doubted that it could ever be so. It was simply beautiful.

Celebor stood up on his tiptoes, trying to find somewhere where he might be able to see the girls from. He spotted the tree by the river - the very tree beneath which he had come out of his vase - and grinned. He would climb it and look from there!

By the time Skye was finished with her crown, she had nearly a dozen roses all at various stages of blooming woven into it. The weaving was barely visible behind the flowers, and as she set it on her head, the grass made it quite comfortable to wear, and the flowers surrounded her constantly with their scent.

Finished now, she went over to help Serenity with her mat-weaving.

Celebor reached the tree quickly - it wasn't far - but he found that he couldn't climb with all his armour on. But he had tied it all too tightly, and he couldn't get it off now! He pouted and sat on the ground, wondering what to do.

Well, what would Donovan do?

He would get rid of the extra stuff that was holding him back, that was what he would do.

And so Celebor tore at the seaweed that he had used to tie his armour on. It broke easily, and the bark pieces fell to the ground. He ignored them and climbed up into the tree, grinning at his cleverness. He climbed up as high as he could go and looked around.

Serenity budged over to make room for Skye. She was having some difficulties keeping everything straight, for one thing her hands were very small (though really that was a help rather than a hindrance, she just couldn't hold on to very much because she didn't have a large or strong grip), and for another she really didn't know what she was doing.

She was more than happy to have Skye help her out, since Skye seemed to be a natural at stuff like this.

Celebor spotted two tiny heads moving around near a rosebush and grinned diabolically.

"I seeeee youuuuuuu," he sang softly to himself, climbing down from the limb he was in.

With Skye's help the mat was finished in no time. It was flexible, but not flexible enough to put on as a cloak, so instead they just rolled it up. Skye made sure that Serenity had a good grip on it and smiled at her. Then she adjusted her crown and set off into the grass again, this time brushing the grass to the side so that it wouldn't knock her crown from her head.

"Hey!" Serenity protested, running after Skye. "Wait for me! Why do you keep running off like that?"

She grabbed Skye's hand again. "Don't run off on me like that, Skye!" she scolded her. "I don't want to lose you. Besides, I'm supposed to be kidnapping you, you're not supposed to be able to go off wherever you want to!"

Celebor hit the ground running, heading for the rosebush that he could still see. It was quite a ways off ...
