Corant slung his weapon, and now had a choice to make. In a split second, it was decided. He charged forward, throwing one of his last plasma-grenades at the feet of Trebuchet. Charging forth, he reached the aforementioned hole, and then another, and another, snatching from each a plasma grenade previously imbedded. One by one, as he charged Trebuchet - in other words, in a matter of one second - all three were thrown with proximity detonators at various points on Trebuchet's body. One more at his feet to make him stumble, the other two at the top of his chest to make him fall backwards, and then, one final move: He lunge at the giant's gut, feet first, a sonic-boom echoing through the area as the man and the one-ton suit of armor came barreling towards Trebuchet.

How fortunate that the damned thing never stood up, then, having remained laying on the ground in the same position as it was in when it had fallen. The only change thus far had been reassembling the arm and a growth in overall size. That having been clearly stated, a man in one ton armor impacting a seven ton golem of near dead weight infused by mana results in very little occuring on either end. Sure, the grenades would do a fair deal of damage to the outter layers of the golem, but with continuing growth the lasting damage would be irrelevant.

In lue of the semi-failed attack, Corant was going with one more solution. Throwing his enemy. Something was very liable to go wrong, but then again, something was liable to go right. Corant rolled to the ground, and, with his right foot - the good one, and his shields powering up once more, he used the shielding to create a rift between Trebuchet in the ground, and attempted to fling the giant upwards, back over his head, and towards the closest edge of the ring, not more than thirty feet away. That itself was not a large feat, considering Corant could manage that with something three times the weight of his opponent, if not more.

Aye, the giant rose, arcing into the air even as his size continued to grow and increase the defensive for the form held within. By the time it stopped approximately fifty feet in the air its weight had increased to eight and a half tons. No longer was this dead wmana of the storm funneling into it directly. The levitation effect from before had apparently either been resumed or a new one had been enacted, slowing his rise to a dead stop in moments. A single arm would lash out to one side, the clentched fist -for that was how it was carved- pointing towards the fallen tree. He would quickly begin to fall rapidly, aiming to strike the ground, whether or not Corant would be in the way. The tree would skirt along the ground, rolling towards Corant with a deep hum growing around it. Were it a technological device one might make the connection that it sounded like a power core on the verge of going critical.

Corant appropriated the shields properly to defend against the assault, and did something most would consider brash. One again, he charged, and when he got close to it, prepared for a bicycle kick, and as it rolled nearer, he crouched, still moving. His arms hit the ground, digging himself in and he once again used his feet to lob the tree upwards, timing and meaning for it to purposefully hit Trebuchet dead on. At the time that he had reached it - not even three seconds after Trebuchet caused it to spin, it wasn't fully "wound up" as power-cores generally got. Also, his throwing of the tree with his feet was not aimed directly at it, so as to not damage it and cause detrimental affects to Corant - being close to it in the past didn't seem good, and the acid my be contained in it.

Torrents of storm aligned mana and gusts of wind embraced the massive weapon as it surged up into the air. While it may have worked more to Trebuchet's advantage to be on the ground when the damned thing gave off its last blast for quite a while it would certainly not be useful if it was nowhere nearby. The giant form enters a spin, mana arcing from its sides as the same arm is thrust out towards the tree once more as it comes around in a spin. The tree seems to align itself to the fist and the two strike another with a massive crack. The fist seems but fragments of rock hanging in the air as Trebuchet continues his spin. Like the weighted end of a flail the tree hangs slack for a moment before whirling around to follow the giant's spin. Streams of mana run down the arm through the fragments of rock, linked as a chain, down into the tree. When finally the colossus came about the tree was aimed to strike the ground in the middle of the area at a slight angle. There it would strike with incredible force, cracks running up the length of the outer layer of bark before the whole is sloughed off in an explosion of magical force that expands perpendicularly from the side of the tree.

As the tree struck the ground, Corant rolled into one of the shallow holes previously made by explosions, not shallow enough, however, to count him out of the ring. The blast washed over him, and he emerged, for the most part, unscathed after it was over. He walked a few feet, and did something peculiar. Squatting down, he began to get handfuls of dirt, squeezing them into rock-solid forms, and pocketing them, one by one. Some of them he tossed across the arena with no real aim in mind - he certainly was not attacking.

Even in one of the holes Corant would not be wholy protected, as the pulse did not travel horizontally, nor vertically, but at an angle radiating from a tilted axis, ie the tree. The only place to truly hide would have been at the end of the tree in the 'blind spot' of the blast. Regardless, the link of mana between the siege golem and the tree would break with a fantastic shower of light and a crack of thunder that shook up the earth. Slowly the tree would fall to the ground, whereby the impact would generate another smaller blast of force. The siege golem seemed to be focusing himself, the features of the great construct gaining greater definition while the shade of the rock grew darker. Great sigils arcana began to scribe themselves across the surface, raging with contained storm mana.

Before the tree hit, he gathered up another few dozen dirt/diamond balls, and jumped into the air, avoiding the main force of the second blast. With several dozen of the balls, he now started lobbing the first of a trio of the balls at Trebuchet's head, each with a hardness higher than that of most stones. Massive sonic booms could be heard as they entered hyper sonic speeds of over mach fourteen, with more power in each one than a tank cannon.

The first in the salvo of three seems to strike against an invisible barrier, its speed reduced to a point where it shatters upon the hardening rock. The second strikes the head directly, causing a loud crack as the two meet and send shards of earth in all directions. The third strikes home and splits a large chunk of the creature's head away from the main bulk, revealing only stone within. With half of a mouth the siege golem emits a groaning roar as it moves a giant step towards Corant. Where once there had been massive crude fists there are now the outlines of fingers that are far from dextrous, but workable for more than beyond pieces of a cudgel. The definition continued across the giant's body, the head slowly regrowing, though lighter than the rest, and the sigils continued to trace across the surface of the stone.

Corant drew two more of the balls, throwing them this time at the giant's "neck." He stood his ground, seeing if the stone giant would try to get within melee range, wondering if the giant knew any of Corant's abilities just by sheer reason. Another two balls, this time aimed just below the last two, all four being at the same speed of approximately mach 4.

Again, the first struck the barrier around the siege golem and was adversely affected, though in this instance the first simply stopped dead. The second produced a shattering of the localized barrier, slowing it marginally, where it cracked against the neck. The next two opened up large cracks in the upper torso, which quickly closed and stitched together with new stone "flesh." The face seemed to have regrown properly, though still discolored, and the sigils continued their expansion. Another single giant step was taken toward Corant, showing that perhaps he was incredibly slow but incredibly well armored in this form. Truth?!

Corant threw two more of the rocks, then... lept. Landing on his hands and tips of his feet, no more than two feet away from Trebuchet, and attempted a swiping-kick of the stone giant's legs. No, the goal was not to trip him, rather, damage him. The force produced behind the leg that swept at the giant was more than that produced by the rocks. If the leg shattered, it was likely that both would, or at least part of the torso, as the shattering stone leg would act like shrapnel. To make matters worse for Trebuchet, the shield on his leg sharpened itself to act like a small blade to direct the force better, so that the leg would swipe all the way through and do much damage.

The problem with such a leap is that regardless of speed there is a moment of flight that leaves one open to assault. Being slow in the ways of the body did not indicate being slow in the mind, neither in terms of scale or speed of thought. Corant would leave the ground and find a surge of storm mana falling from the sky, taking the likeness of a lightning bolt. The heat generated by the storm mana was intense, boiling like the surface of the sun, but instead of cracking for a moment like a lightning bolt it persisted. The column fell from the skies in a torrent of magical force and sound seething with heat with the intent of driving Corant down into the ground like the stroke of a giant hammer.
