My band director was telling us a story about one concert.
The girl that was playing the crach Cymbals was standing in the back and when she raised them one of them fell off the strap and hit the floor, loud! There was a solo coming up and the trumpet who played it couldnt stop laughing.
Aslo our wind chimes are missing like 5 if em. And all of our headed tamborines talk. xD
We also dropped the chimes on someones car at a show. Like they fell over ond crashed into someones car.
Last night we were taking the rack back to the percussion room, and since it doest have wheels yet (its bran spanking new) we were caring it, and a new kid was helping out and he lifted it really high and then he dropped it like half way down, and one of the suspended cymbals was on the back of my neck before he raised it, that hurt like hell when he dropped it back on my neck.
OH OH OH! How bout getting hit int he back of the head by a gaurd person? During a show, during your solo. xD never happened to me, but happened to our captain hehehe.

we were practicing for drumline in our school parking lot and had to play a part in fortissississimo(FFF) and we set of about 10 car alarms it was pretty funny.
We also had a judge that got a face full of cymbal once cause they were in our way

What about crashing cymbals so hard they flip inside out? (done that) And cracking brand new ones from crashing so hard? (done that too) I'm on base now though. I love bass.

I whacked my friend with a cowbell when he was annoying me.
And he broke a marimba mallet on a marimba bar...he was just like, "Stein, what do I do with this?"

Here's what happened my freshman yr.
We were playing in a parade. i was cymbal line captain and i volunteered to take the crappy nearly dead cymbals.
BIIIIIIIIIIG mistake. I Hit Cymbals hard because the rest of the line (2 people) were really quiet. i had a crash that i did, and the cymbal broke from the leather holder and flew up , only to land on our Tuba Captain's head. i picked the cymbal up and got angry glares from the tuba but, my band director laughed. he said "Mike, Ur a dumass"
And i still am.

I did that once...it was insane.
