I used to volunteer in a library, and it was fun. We all had 2 or 3 shelf assignments, and we'd take care of our section. When people left, those shelves became "orphan" shelves and up for grabs. Me and my friend eventually ended up running most of the entire library by ourselves. The others would walk in to find their shelves all done too...

Today was a busy day. There were only two people working there. Maybe sometime soon they'll let me check out patrons' books. Not like it's hard to do. It's fun scoping out the reading material when you're making sure all the titles are in order. Mental note for future checkouts! xd
I've discovered something else I like about working there. This little girl came up to me while I was shelving some DVDs before closing time and asked me where to find books on animals. It made me feel all fuzzy to be able to help, but it also makes me wonder why children always flock around me!

My college has a program where you work for the school at minimum wage, and they take the amount you 'earn' off of your tuition (of course, you never see the money). Someone in admissions pulled a string or two for me, and it looks like they saved me from working in the cafeteria and got me a place in the school library. xd

You can find time to read anywhere, really. My mom was a ramp rat, or the people who directed planes in. It was the perfect job for reading. Once a plane came in, there was a lull of 15-60min before the next one came. Great Reading Space, really.

I recently started writing a more wellplanned story with the goal of three thousand per chapter, which is aproximated to a twentysix chapter "long" book incase I decide to publish it.
On other hand I signed up for the netcompetition "Write fifty thousand word in a month"-challenge.
The funny thing is.... I haven't done a so long story in english yet. xd
