I don't think I would call this one horror, but it has been WAY too long since I've seen it...

The_Wicked_Man Also, if he wasn't cured, the word "Clockwork" in the title would not make much sense, since nothing would have returned to the way it was when the movie began. Clockwork Orange is a slang term Quote: the Cockney phrase from East London, 'as queer as a clockwork orange' - indicating something bizarre internally, but appearing natural, human, and normal on the surface.

Kubrick, sweetie. heart
And Hollywood Video actually had Clockwork Orange in the Comedy section.... eek it's so not a comedy. I've heard the book is even better than the movie, and has a Nadsat translation in it. (the slang they were using in the movie) Also has a chapter at the end that wasn't in the movie, so it ends differently.

I would not classify it as a horror.

In the Greek theater sense, "comedy" refers to any story that ends with a return to normal society, as established at the beginning of the tale, ending happily, or both. If we are to follow this deffinition, it is acceptable to think of A Clockwork Orange as such. Also, not every copy of the book includes a Nadsat translation or a glossary section. I have a copy of a 1986 publication which includes no such thing. Interesting enough, however, I also have a 1972 publication that includes the glossary, but not the semi-famous final chapter.
