"calls himself mah nephew." he answered. knowing exactly who she would be referring to. "his father is mah adopted brother" though he would not really say he had family, he guessed it was as much of a family as he could anymore. he found that the Candies often liked to talk about there friends and families. while he remembered that she was not much like a Candy at all, both her and Jayce were very very different. he decided to just ask the question that got others talking. "how about you? got any siblin's"

"YOUR nephew? ..Hmph... He needs to take some lessons in manners." She glanced at him with a frown. "Though he is rather unique, I suppose..." And we all know how Calypso likes unique, one of a kind things.
She seemed a bit suprised to be asked the question, but responded to it half heartedly, with a small snort. "Good heaven's, No.... I never had any siblings, and I rather like it like that..." She tilted her chin up even more, grinning proudly. "Never anyone like me."

"Ahg" he grunted, dropping his loose jaw down, and popping it back into place, ensuing that it would not fall off while talking. he did not look at her as he spoke, continuing to search along the grass. though he could hear her off in the deep grass, he could not pinpoint her location.. "indeed that it true." she was after all... one of a kind.
"has Jayce offended ya?" he asked, taking note on the disapproving tone of her voice. "does not seem to like others,"

With the change in subject.. Her tone changed from proud and narcisstic to... quite annoyed. "Offend me? My, did he not just offend me..." She huffed, head lowering and shoulders rising so that her neck fur fluffed up a bit. "He tried to kill one of my fish, then had the nerve to try to kill me! Some charming little boy..." She grumbled slightly.
Meanwhile, a bit further away... As Jayce was stomping threw the grass, he would see the blinking flicker of a small bluish orb floating threw the grass ahead of him.

he paused in his search for either a fish or his claw, lifting his head up, to stare half lit into the wall of grass ahead. nearly killed? well... was being dead considered a bad thing? from alot of living he talked to it sure seemed like it was, since he didn't have an opinion, he took theres, but then... would that make him a bad thing? they didn't treat him like he was something bad. he opened his mouth slightly, the perpetual thought trapping him in his frozen stance.
"stupid female... stupid Jedrek! why do i even bother leaving home" he grumbled to himself as he stormed though the grass. but everything was halted as he saw something very strange in the grass ahead. quickly lowering himself down, eyes locked on the strange glow. remaining perfectly still, he waited till it was the right moment... then Leaped forward, clasping his paws in a cup and snatching at the strange glow.

She walked past him a few feet before realizing that he wasn't walking beside her anymore, the slupring, dripping sound of his steps pausing. Her chin lifted to glance over her shoulder at him, looking him over.
"Jedrek?" She asked after a moment while turning to face him, long fluffy tail wrapping around her thin legs. "What's wrong?" Her voice wasn't necessarily concerned.. Just anxious. She wanted to find her fish now!
The small, lost fish flopped inside of Jayce's paws, a small child-like squeak heard from under the fur. Though it wasn't just the fish he had lept upon... Right under him was his uncle's lost foot, which had been carefully inspected and guarded by the fish.

cupping the fish in his hands, he stared down at his uncles paw for a moment. "oh" well that was a bit easer then he had thought, and not only that. but he had found that females Fish as well. grasping it firmly by the back fin with his fingers, he lifted the Fish up to study it. "great" he grumbled.
Jedrek's eyes focused again and flickered over to her as she spoke, snapping him out of his taught. "nothin'" he said, and limped awkwardly over. still not finding anything worth saying.

"...Liar." She mumbled, standing still and watching him with slightly narrowed eyes until he caught up with her. Buut... if he didn't want to talk to her... Fine. She wouldn't waste her time trying to comfort him. Not like she really cared that much anyway... She started to walk beside him again, silence once again over coming them.
The fish flopped and wiggled in Jayce's paw, and when raised to eye level he glared his tiny black eyes and waved his fins at the male. It seemed that the fish had just as big of an ego as it's master...

Perplexed by that comment, he turned his gaze back onto her, staring at her though out there moment of silence. "a liar?" he asked, a smirk forming over his lips, a deep chuckle thumping in his chest.
"oh yeah, you are a smart one" he growled at it sarcastically. hissing softly and snapping his teeth at it "you better shape up or i might just eat you right now" he wondered if threats worked better on her fish then they did on the actual Numa

"You said something was wrong... but something was obviously wrong, for at least a moment. Or.. you at least were thinking rather hard." She smirked back at him, continuing to walk beside him threw the grass.
The fish flopped more and squeaked softly when threatened, trying desperately to get away from the teeth. It seemed that it had worked... for now. It yelped and tried desperately to escape the skulled Numa.

"ah." he looked forward again "mah thought posses ain't what it used to be." he said, running his stumpy hand under his hair, that was concealing what of his brain was poking out of his head. "got me wonderin' when you mentioned Jayce tryin' to kill ya, sounded like a bad thing"
"arrgg ok, CALM DOWN" he yelled at it. lowering himself into a sit still staring at the Fish "I'm not ganna eat ya" he grumbled having not wanted to admit it "but if you don't knock it off and do what I say, I'll do something worse! got it!" he pulled the fish closer to his nose, and snorted a breath of air at it

The fish's fins rippled in the mighty breath that he released. It tensed, then just hung limply from his paw, not wanting to anger him any further. It's eyes swelled cutely, staring at him with a pathetic look.
"Ahh.." She laughed softly. "I can imagine it'd be a bit... slower." She smirked and continued looking around, but somewhat content with her company... even if it was disgusting. Then she paused for a moment, then snorted slightly. "Well... I suppose if I remained undead like you, dieing wouldn't be so bad... But I wouldn't ever want to look like you..." She shuddered and unconciously smoothed down her chest fur with her muzzle, perfecting herself.

he eyes her, looking over her colored fur, decorated wings and unusual, very original hair. "if ya ever do end up like me. ya won't care" he told her she obviously cared about her looks, he had met a couple of Numa that were like that. he would not be surprised if he himself was like that. "but even among the dead, we would not compare" he knew how to say it. even in his deep, calm, monotoned voice, not actually caring about it... he just knew that something like that is what you said to Numa like her.
Jayce rolled his eyes at the fish "oh please" he sighed. it was certain, that if Jedrek had not stared him down. he would probably still be angry enough to kill this fish. but with that look. it was the final straw of mercy he had. "get outa here" he grumbled, and tossed the fish forward, releasing it, and grabbing his uncles Claw. "and not a word to that master of yours" he ordered pointing a black claw at the fish. "or next time I'll prove just how cruel i can be"

Her movements stopped abruptly, and she blinked over at him with an arched brow. "That's... quite a compliment." She muttered, grinning widely. Oh... how she loved being complimented and swooned over... Though.. he wasn't really swooning... But it was good enough. His behavior towards her was actualy somewhat refreshing. It was rare that she found someone she just enjoyed talking too, and didn't feel like she had to show off SO much.
"But... You're probably right." She smirked wider and flicked her fur behind her ear. Well, if she DID die... At least she'd be comforted in the fact that she'd be the most beautiful dead Numa... Though... She'd rather be the most beautiful live one.
The fish wiggled out of his grasp and started floating around him, making a couple of large circles around his head before it dived! Right into the fur of his neck, trying to swim through the tuffs of thick knotted fur, which... ended up just tugging a couple of his hairs out... The fish, however, was bewildered. It floated away and blinked at Jayce confused. It was merely showing it's appreciation for not being eaten by trying to make Jayce look beautiful. It was the fish's simple logic... what it had been trained to do.

he continued on as she stopped, keeping an ear turned back to hear what she was saying, though his eyes were still scanning the grass. "don't know if a Candy can do that anyway. far as I know its got somethin' to do with tha Swamp." he spoke with out turning around. trying to adjust his body's balance, compensating for the lost caw "might as well stay livin'"
if he had an eyebrow on the outside of the Skull, he would most definitely be raising it at the Fish, but instead, he looked as if he was just staring intently at the Fish for a moment. he snorted at the fish, then ran a claw through his chest, tugging the fur free. "appearances are not my number one Priority" he informed it. then pushed to his feet, and started off slowly in the direction he had come from. Jedrek's claw clasped in his paw. with a small glance backwards, curious as to what the Fish would do now that he was walking away.
