Martaial arts? Maria expected different but still was happy the brunette agreed. after a few minutes of letting the the brunette rest.
She then stood up.
"Shall we get started? if you don't mind I'll use something soft." Maria said she
then put her legs together slightly bent and made a small sweep with her feet. Her knees were only a fist away. her foot pointing to an imaginary triangle. her shoukders were in. her right arm almost extended slightly bent with her elbow at the center of her body. her left arm was aligned with her right elbow. Both her hands were slightly open palmed. As she assumed the ancient art of Wing Chun.
{If you don't get this, I tried to be accurate, also if you want to get it tell me and I'll just switch to Taekwondo. This is a real martial arts by the way.}

Now that all the boys were together Hiro was now able to explain the situation ,
"Listen in the upcoming tournament you will have to investigate something with me. It was rumored that in the tournament bladers who have special holy beast will come. These holy beast are their own souls. We found this during an excavation with father. These people are the reincarnation of holy beast. They are different because they have greater power , but has greater risk to the person as the equivalent damage done to them will be reflected on their bodies.
Mr. Dikenson is also aware of this and has told me that Boris and his men attempts to capture them for his holy beast take over the world project. I need you to protect them from Boris.”

((No problem. I heard about Wing Chun from one of my English classmates who happened to take it up before. 3nodding ))
"That poses no problem for me," Kei replied. "Go right ahead and use soft martial arts, if that's what you prefer."
She watched as Maria fell into a very graceful-looking stance and debated within herself. She was skilled in two disciplines: tae kwon do and tai chi - the first one was hard, the other soft. Which should she use?
The principles of yin and yang came to her in that instant, and so she fell into the opening stance for tae kwon do: feet shoulder width apart, one behind the other in an 'L' stance; both hands in fists - her right hand raised at around chin-level and her left hand about six inches behind, near her chest.
This should be interesting...

Reincarnations of their bit beasts, in human form? Kai pondered this bit of information. Now here was something new. But then, this was the Beyblading world; there were bound to be surprises every now and then.
What piqued his interest was the mention of Boris' name. Him again! he growled inwardly. He detested that Russian, as he was partly to blame for the Black Dranzer fiasco back when Team BBA had first formed. And Boris was always seeking one thing: power. Though Kai, too, had sought power before, now, the idea of it didn't sit well with him - that is, if it included sacrificing innocents; the slate-haired teen didn't like to admit it, however.

Unlike Kai Takao was more talkative of his opinion, " Boris again when is he going to give up,but then again these people are suppose to be powerful that will be a challenge. "
Takao spoke forgetting some of the details.

tae kwon do as she thought that girl knew at least one of them. Graceful stance almost made Maria laught as she intentionally did it. Being serious she relaxed herself as that was the key to her success.
Maria smiled facing the brunette and said, "To be honest your the first girl I've ever fought with."
Still at her position she made her right hand flat and made a come here gesture, "I'll avoid my pointy attacks for now. Come if you can even hurt me."

Hiro knew a bit about his brother not much into details and reminded him,
"Takao they may be powerful but they may die in battle. Remember if you hurt them in their holy beast form their body is also hurt. Also regarding Boris. An old saying once said that Dark grass die hard. "

" That's right Takao."Rei said, "But why are they in the tournament any way. If their bodies are affected in the fight then that would be suicidal."
"Well you know what they say the greater the risk the greater the power they must have." Max then said.

Of all the - ! Kei nearly scowled at Maria's 'if you can even hurt me' comment, but forced herself to keep her cool. It wouldn't do if she allowed herself to be controlled by her feelings, especially in a match such as this.
Instead, she shifted most of her weight to her back leg - to facilitate quick dodging and back steps - hands still up in a defensive position, only they were no longer fisted. Though schooled in tae kwon do - a rather aggressive martial art - Kei didn't believe in making the first move, something that carried over to her blading style.
It had something to do with one sparring session. All her female sparring partners complained that even with the armor on and when she used on 30% power - as per instructions - they'd still have bruises where she, Kei, had kicked them. As a result, the brunette had been wary of how she used her knowledge of this martial art, and how strong to make her attacks - or counterattacks. She didn't want anyone getting hurt on her account.
So she decided to play it cool with Maria, and see how things turned out.

Maria's words seem to not have affected much kei. Maria waited alertly letting her enemy make the first move. She waited patiently for Kei's move. Even though she was the only girl in the group in Wing Chun practice she was one of the fastest, flexible and skilled of all.

I've a feeling this is going to last forever... Kei thought, eyeing the blonde in front of her. Neither had moved from their current stances for what felt like three minutes now.
Keeping her breathing even, Kei shifted her weight to her leading leg, and then rushed at Maria.

Kai sighed inaudibly as Hiro left. "Well, that was certainly a waste of time..." he muttered under his breath.
So what if there were bladers whose bit beasts were their very souls? They were still bladers, and that made them fair game. Well, as fair as one could get in a Beybattle.
Still, to battle one of these people would be very interesting - and hopefully enough of a challenge.

Rei though it was going to be rough battling with people in a fun game when the other person's life was on the line, but in a battle there is life and honor on the line.
Max felt just a bit relaxed since he was a defense type blader and thinking about the tournament he thought, "Hey Rei what team are you going with."
"I think I'm going with my the white tigers though I'm not sure which one will be my team mates or if were going to have an additional team member. How about you Kai." Rei said then turned to the crimson eyed blader.

Finnaly! Maria thought excited in her mind. She observed carefully her spar's attack as she knew that the first kick was the strongest one, but she also knew that some attacks needed a minimum distance for it to be effective.

Kai had begun walking off when the neko-jin called him back with a question. The slate-haired teen calmly glanced over his shoulder at Rei, face as expressionless as ever.
"Who knows? I may team up with Tala and then we'll get an extra member, or I'll start from scratch. Either way, I still get into the tournament..."
With that, Kai turned back around and walked off. He planned to head over to the BBA headquarters and observe the new trainees. Well, as if there were any trainees in that place worth recruiting for a world tournament.

Using her back leg, Kei launched herself into the air and made as though to perform a flying spinning kick. Instead, she'd angled her trajectory so that she went backwards rather than forwards, and then she quickly backflipped...
And landed next to the beydish she'd been training in. One hand on her hip, she pulled her blade back out and gave a small grin.
"I know I didn't scare you, but I still want to apologize. Anyway, I've changed my mind; I'd much rather none of us got hurt in sparring, so do you mind if we had a Beybattle instead?"

Maria was amazed by the skill that Kei showed and made her have a small urge to really fight her. She planned on coming close to her giving her a 1 inch punch keeping the pain in her body instead of through her body, but she was fine other wise. She then treated her stance.
She then bowed giving her respects with her hands together this time with her left fist over her right fist a sign of peace, with the attacking fist covered. She though that she should give beyblade less formality.
"Fine with me."Maria then said as she then loosened up with a smile.
{Is it fine if I can be some extra evil beybladers? If it's alright.}

Rei expected this reaction from Kai then turned to Takao then said, "I think I'll be leaving soon to China, but I will be training for a while in the mean time."
"Me too" Max then said waiting for Takao's reaction if it might be like last year, though Kai already did it first.

Well, that certainly cleared things up between him and his teammates. At least, concerning the team-ups for this year's tournament.
Kai wasn't really looking where he was going; he was merely following the path. Then he came to a fork. Which way? he wondered vaguely. He didn't really care, actually, so he just let his feet decide once more.
He headed left.
Pretty soon, though, he came across the park's beydish where Tyson had once held his 'training camp' - which wasn't really a training camp at all, but to each his own - and stopped. What piqued his interest was that there were two girls - one blonde, the other brunette - and they looked like they were about to have a Beybattle.
He stayed to watch.
Kei returned the gesture in kind - again! - and then proceeded to attach her crimson blade to her dark blue launcher. As soon as she was ready, she took her position at one side of the circular dish and waited for Maria to take her position.
While she wanted to finish the upcoming battle as quick as she could, Kei knew this usually entailed using her bit beast. And she didn't want one of her potential opponents learning about that part of her blading repertoire just yet.
Guess I'll just have to play it by ear...
