"I'm sure." She grinned at him. "Don't tell me a big stallion like yourself is afraid of a few waves..." She walked deeper in the water, until the waves just touched her belly, and leaned down to dip her nose into the cool liquid. There was no way he'd wash away like anything.

"While I must admit to the compelling power of your words stiring the machismo within me... I do confess I remain leary" He chuckeled as the waves snatched at the pink ribbons that hung down...tied and belled to his ankles.
"I fear on this front...it is not I you shall find being truely brave or daring, only yourself...I hope I am not too wearing for my reservations?" he stepped in slightly deeper careful of sudden incline.

"Promise nothing will happen." She smiled at him and flicked her tail out of the water. There were a few fish swiming about but they quickly darted off as she moved. "Worst that could happen is you get a bit of salt in your bells."

"I'm going to pretend I didn't just mishear that" he laughed and started ever so slightly at the small slivery black flicks of fish that darted in and about thier feet... moving in and about his cloven hooves.

She laughed. "Well that could happen too but with you standing all the way over there it's not likely." She tossed her head and looked out over the shore and the rolling waves.

He had the good grace to at least look somewhat embarised...
"May I ask....why the ocean? I've always considered the sky to have been a logical choice for me...being winged and such...but you're the first I have heard taking to the waves!"

"I don't know. I just like them i suppose." Her mother had lived near here so she'd grown up running though the waves. Something about them just calmed her.
"It's obvious why you like the sky." Birds all flew and seemed to love it so why not a winged soquili? It just made sense.

"I'm suppose to come up with everything?" She grinned and eyed him. "I brought you all the way out here so it's your turn to do the thinking."
Turning and swishing her tail though the water she grinned over her shoulder. "Unless that extra plating on your head makes it hurt when you do that?" She couldn't help but tease the stallion.

"I'm afraid so..." He grinned..."It's this thick skull of mine...makes it so hard for thoughts to get out..."
He looked thoughtful and splashed a hoof in the waves a touch..
"I feel honor bound to make conversation...and yet I quite find myself at a loss of what to say...or do to be honest...I fear I'm a terrible guest..."

Turning slightly she picked up a hoof and splashed him slightly. "Maybe i'm just a terrible host?" She wasn't used to entertaining anyone. She couldn't keep herself entertained half the time so how was she suppose to do it with extra people.

"I hardly thinkg that..." He shook his head and splashed the water with a fore hoof to try and convicne himself as much as her that he was not afraid of the water...or at least not as afraid of being dragged down as he currently felt.
"I fear my interactions are few...and so far between that you are in fact the first I have had in a long time...my...social skills may be something like of wanting I fear..."

She chuckled slightly. "And you think i get visitors often?" Most of their kind stayed further inland toward the plains. They didn't like the sand or the surf like she did. Besides even she didn't like it some days. There wasn't a lot to eat and she still had to go inland to find patches of grass to feed on.

"Most don't like the sea. The sand disagrees with their footing and there's not much to eat." Occasionally if the season was right she could find some tasty things growing in the dunes.
"It is not that i prefer it. I'm just used to it. You don't get much company when you live out this way." It also didn't help that her solid black gaze had a habit of unnerving people.
