Essence of Iridescence

PostPosted: Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:52 pm

Ciara watched the Pundu's reaction.
"No thanks, keep it. I have tons." She shouted back, sporadically.

Ciara hoped out of the tree, with another small thud, and went over to greet this other Pundu.

"My name is Ciara, who're you?" She said, somewhat harsh.

When the Pundu hoped down Midori realized that this was not a regular this Pundu was a demonic Pundu.
He said in a somewhat sweet way.
"Okay, if you are sure. My name is Midori, nice to meet you Ciara."

"Midori. Midori. Haven't I heard that word before?" Ciara strained to remember. After five minutes, she gave up, turning her attention to Midori.

"You want to go and play somewhere? I don't like playing here much; how about the beach?"

Looking at Ciara he said.
"I like your name, Ciara reminds me of a tiara, tiaras are pretty just like you. Okay, I will follow you to the beach."

"Pre-pre-pretty?" Ciara blushed. "Lets go, come oooonnn!"
She grabbed Midori's paw, and ran off toward the sea.

Que followed behind, slowly, half asleep.

Ivan sighed walking down the hall of the school looking around, "I can not belive I am here! It is rather pointless." He rolled his eyes unable to belive he let the little spirit that found him talk him into this. He sighed and walked towards the misic room to start on some lessson or another.

"Why am I here?" Thomas asked for the bajilionth time since stepping onto the campus. She folded her arms and tried to shoot a nasty glare at her watcher, but it just ended up with her looking like she really really hated the wall.

"You need to further your mind, I've told you this already." Dian said to her quietly, although it wasn't really necessary, as no one else could hear him.
"Everyone here is smarter than me, they'll all just laugh again." Thomas said bitterly. Last time she sat in on a class, the teacher called on her for a very basic question that she had no idea the answer to. The entire classroom erupted in giggles, and Thomas wanted to punch everyone in the kidneys, especially her watcher for badgering her into coming here.

"It is no fault of yours the demonics fail to educate their youth. You just have to find something you enjoy doing, and practice until you're better."
Dian said, looking over a campus map.
"I like pun--"
"That doesn't involve punching."

Thomas flattened her ears and looked away. She wasn't really a mean pundu, and rather disliked violence, but it was how she was raised, and it bothered her watcher, so she acted snarky around him.
"How about music?" Dian asked with curiosity. Thomas' ears perked. "I like music!" She beamed. Quickly looking up the classroom she nearly sprinted off toward the room, encountering an angelic pundu right before the door. Thomas blinked at him, unsure of how to react to this nearly glowing pundu with dark blue hair.
"Be polite!" Dian hissed in her ear.
"Uh...After you?" Thomas gave a weak smile.

Ivan heard paded feet on floor behind him and truned. He was so tempted not to walk into the music room and bowing his head to the female, flashed her a smile, "I see I am in your way, how clumsy of me." he said his voice gently and sexy, with dark and tempation laying underneth, though he was near in the demonic's angel's age his voice and the promise in it made him seem older.

He stood and smirked to himself it was a good thing his watcher was not hear, he knew that she would be teasing him and he would not be able to keep from teasing her back. He took a step back waiting for the demon to go in ahead of him.

Something about Ivan's voice touched her. It was reminiscent of a demonic pundu's voice, but more gentle, more silky. Instantly her ears perked toward him in interest. She took a moment to look him over once again, wondering why he immediately struck her as different from the other non demonic pundu she'd met since she stepped down from the caverns.

But, he stepped backward out of the doorway, and Thomas tilted her head. He still was closer to the room than her, so this made no sense. Why didn't he just go inside? Hell, she decided to be polite, so she motioned again.
"You're not in my way, I insist you go first."

...It was really too unfortunate that was about the entire span of the manners taught to her. Don't interrupt, be patient, allow others to go before you..and what else...? Oh yeah, punching was the last way to make friends.

Ivan smiled again at her, "Ladies first, and am I still debating on entering a class here." he said softly, his voice still soft and silky. His eyes though rather dark seemed to dance with playfulness. "I can not help but wonder which class one like you might take."

He still waited at the door for her to pass him and enter the class. Though he did wonder if she would even enter it or just leave. He knew that he should let the young lady go first but if she took too much longer he might just have to walk in before her and by himself.

Thomas blew out a snort at that. So that was why he hesitated. The pundu folded her arms and eyed him. Using the 'Ladies First' thing was always just a way for the other demonic pundus to taunt her, because women were weaker physically. They had to remind her over and over again, until she had to beat all of them into the floor for the laughing to cease.

"Thomas...Thomas..." Dian's gentle voice came in. He rested his hand over her shoulder. "He is not meaning ill. It is polite to offer girls the right of way." Dian watched Ivan with curiosity as well. He didn't want her negative past associations to ruin a potential frienship.

Thomas decided to cave and walk through, if only to avoid having the two of them standing in the hallway like idiots forever. After all, this guy didn't snicker at her yet, why not try anew?
"'Name's Thomas." She said once she walked in, turning to face the other Pundu. Actually, if it weren't for the slight incriminating swell of breasts she was developing, all hints pointed toward her being a male Pundu. Short hair, male name, and her voice was deeper than that of most girl pundus. When she folded her arms, it was a complete toss up.
"What's yours?"

By the spirits, her lack of eloquence made her feel idiotic beside him.

If there was any shock at Thomas's name, actions, and pretty malish lock it might have just flash quickly in Ivan's eyes. He gave another smile his hands moving to his hips, "Well I will say that name goes with the fighting spirit I see in you, but it does not do justice to your beauty, Thomas."

He inclined his head a bit, thinking another bow so soon would be an attest to his ego, "My name is Ivan Amines." He straighted his neack and ran a clawed paw threw his hair to move it out of his face smiling lightly at her with his eyes. He sighed to himself, Thank god you are not hear Dooma he thought.

Ivan followed in after Thomas not wanting to block the door incase another Pundu wanted in. He looking around the class room and moved to an empthy desk to sit. "May I be so bold as with question what part of music will you be studing?" He had intened on starting with an insterment and then working on his voice, though it already had an almost sing-song tone to it.

Thomas caught it, that momentary flicker behind Ivan's emotive eyes. For all Thomas was masculine, Ivan made it up with his rather sensual gesturing. He alone challenged every perception Thomas had of Pundu behaviour.
And what with the compliments!
"Mum and dad weren't interested in beauty. After all, surface beauty is easily marred." She said crisply, striding in to take a desk beside his.

She propped up her chin on her hand, so she could openly watch him. She really did like his name. Ivan Amines, it sounded so terribly noble, which really matched his behavior, if she thought about it. Where Ivan's eyes were laughing, hers were still filled with some measure of obstinate pride, and interested confusion.

"I always fancied woodwinds, they have a haunting way of mimicing voice that I ador--admire. That and they don't break so easy, you know? What about you? You sound a regular cavebird to me."

Yeah, demonic pundus never encountered regular song birds. They did however have an evolved kind of songbird that lived within the cavernous depths with the bats.

Ivan nodded at her, "Well that is true, the beauty or at least true beauty lies within the part of us that we never show to anyone." He watched her form slide into the desk beside him. His eyes did not linger on her body like most males did but moved back up to her face. She was rather graceful for her tough front.

A gentle and slighlty charming, in its simplisity, smile cross his blue lips, "Thank you for you kind words...I do tend to learn the art of song, but I belive my first step should be to learn the art of music and rythem."

He looked at the wall again and laughed lightly and for a rather short time, less then a minute, "A friend of mine is learning the ocarina and I would greatly like to show her skills up and make her proud of me. I hope you do not find that a stupid request and a childish insterment." his voice was soft and smooth like always. Though for a mintue his eyes dimmed like a memory was taking up his thoughts for a moment or two.

Thomas was not brutish. Her style of fighting more mirrored martial arts than reckless slash fighting. Thomas found her own light brown eyes caressing the fluffy wings standing erect on his back, wondering at the anatomy, and how such small appendages could possibly be a benifit, as opposed to a hand hold. She caught his smile, and against her better judgement, her own lips slowly began to upturn. Not much, but they began to.

"You can't learn all three at the same time?" Thomas queried to his admission that he would learn music and rythem before song. She figured rythem was developed at the same time as music, and music with song. After all, each melody had a rythem, didn't it? But he was an angelic pundu, and knew more than she did.

"You're gonna take up the ocarina then? I don't think it's childish at all." She said in perfect honesty. It seemed though it was lost on him, as Ivan's focus diminished, those emotive blue eyes off lost in the distance. Thomas absently began trying to place them. Ocean blue...? No, the ocean was brighter, more like a blue green. Sky blue...? No, his eyes weren't so open. Lapis Lazuli...? No...His were too pure...
Night sky. Midnight even. Eyes so dark they looked like they stretched on forever, just how it looked when the clouds had cleared, and the full moon illuminated the atmosphere, punctuated ever so slightly by the flickering of stars.
...Yes...His eyes were night eyes.
