Ryu had found a few small things that he bought here and there and he was pleased with the things he got.
"I didn't spend too much, and I got some cool things, and now it's time to eat." He thought to himself. "But where do I go?"
He wondered around looking for a place to go, some resturant or something, and he wanted soemthing besides seafood. He didn't like seafood, the smell of fish made him sick, and he just didn't like the taste of it.

After walking around for a few minutes, Ross spotted a building that looked like it served food. He smelled food, and the atmosphere just seemed right. He began to walk over to it. As he got closer to the entrance, he felt right at home. He was dressed well, and it seemed like a well dressed place. He went inside and waited for someone to come to him.
While he looked around, he was thining about what he saw. "This place is really nice for being located in the market, I'm really glad I found it."

Ryu turned a corner that lead to another part of the market, and as soon as he did his nose found a wonderful smell, and he liked it a lot. He turned his head, and saw a building that didn't match the rest, it seemed to nice to be in a market environment. As he looked at it, he saw a man with no hair, who also looked like he didn't belong in the market as he walked into the building. Ryu decided this was where he'd eat at.
As he approached the resturant, the name on the wall said something in a language he didn't understand. So he didn't know the name of the place, but he went in anyway, hoping that there wasn't any major seafood dishes that they only made on this day.

Ross was seated next to a window and was given a menue. The menue was in a language that he didn't understand, "It must be in some form of slange that's local to this area," Ross thought. He really had no idea what to pick, and he stared at the menue for a while.

The woman, or at least it seemed like a woman, came to Ryu and motioned for him to follow her to his seat. She approached the man in blue that he saw enter just before he did, and she asked him in a commonly known language if he didn't mind if she sat Ryu next to him. The man wearing blue didn't object, and the woman said thankyou. Ryu sat down across from the man, and decided to introduce himself.
"Hello, my name is Ryu, thanks for letting me sit here. I guess they don't like outsiders."
((Sage and I talked about it, he agreed to let me do what I did, no godmoding involved. mrgreen ))

Ross looked up from his menue to talk to the boy.
"I know who you are, that's why I let you sit here. And what makes you think I'm an outsider?"
Ross's question was asked in a calm voice, no harshness intended.

Ryu seemed a little surprised at what Ross has said. And replied,
"You know who I am? How?"
After a few seconds of no responce from the man, Ryu went on,
"Well I guess you're an outsider because I am, and they sat me next to you. But tell me, how do you know who I am?"

"Well, who doesn't know who you are? Or me for that matter? You don't know who I am? We Ryu, are mages, and that's exactly why they put us together, we're mages, and we're outsiders. We're in a market city in the Capitol. Mages are highly respected here, that's why they put us together, so that we may dine in good company. They aren't rejecting us, if they were they wouldn't have serviced us to quickly. Make sence now?"

Ryu sat back, stumped on how he didn't make that connection. "That's why this resturant as so well kept, and empty, it was for mages. Mages are very clean kept and worty of such a nice place to eat in, and that explains why she sat them together, so that they would enjoy eachother's company." he thought to himself.
"Well it makes perfect sence now, you knew I was a Black Mage, you didn't mean you knew my name, I thought you meant that you knew my name. Well I guess I do know you then, you're a White Mage, right?"

"Sure am, and I've been one all my life. So, do you have any idea what this menue says? I can't read a thing."

Ryu chuckled a little, "I was thinking the same thing, I couldn't understand a word of the sign outside, and I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me. So I guess we're on our own."
Ryu looked at his menue, and decided on whatever, the 3rd selection was.
"I guess I'll get this one, the 3rd from the top on the righ side of the menue. What are you getting?"

"Haha I don't know what I'm getting, but I picked the 2nd from the bottom on the left side. I hope it isn't alive." Ross laughed at his joke, and told himself in his head that he was hilarious.
The waitress came to get their orders and took the menues and left.

Ryu was still laughing at what the man said, and that's when he realzied that he still didn't know his name. He asked as soon as the waitress left the table.
"So what's your name? You never told me."

"Ross, sorry, I forgot all about it. So to get the rest of the questions out of the way, I'm in town cause I'm a white mage, I help people. I'm looking for a place to start up my new practice, like a hospital, but I'll start small and work my way up. Sure I could work for the crown, but I don't want my abilities to be limited to only the rich. But the rich are more then welcome to hire me, I make house calls, that is once they've heard of me."

"Alright, I'm here in town just to get a new collection of things to bring back home, this is a busy season for the market, things and people from all over travel here, so I came too, cause more things pass through here then the market where I'm from, which we'll not talk about. That's a hole nother story."
"So you want to start your own practice? That's cool. I guess it's a good idea too, you have the ability, why not?"
