I miss Boone too. Before I started watching Lost, my friend told me that he died, which ruined it for me. But he was one of my favs. If you think about it tho, with Boone dying, it changed alot of characters. Jack wouldn't hate Locke as much and be crabby all the time. And Locke wouldn't be blaming himself for Boone's death. Also, where Boone died, they found another hatch. So by killing him off, alot of things have happened that prolly wouldn't have if he was alive.

Okay, if that is your conclusions, I feel a bit depressed. I had the inclinatino that those who watched LOST were a bit more on the intelligent side...you have a huge logic fallacy there! As for Boone's demise, i agree. It was quite sad, but at least he was in a season 3 episode.

Yea, I was sad when they killed off Boone. He was one of my favorite character. His personally, his actions, and his dilemma with Shannon, he was very interesting.
I wish they had not killed him off, but at least he pops up here and there.

*sobs* i miss boone so bad. and shannon, even though she used him. but boone! i miss him. i wished they would have killed sawyer instead. he's a butthead. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! boone come back....!!!!!

Enah OMG!!!11 BOONE IS TEH HAWT! OMG WTF LOL!!1 xd ...anwyay, I would really have liked to see what they would have done with his character had he not been killed off. I think that the show would benefit more if they only wrote out characters when either: 1. There was no longer any room for character growth and any possible storylines were already written, or: B. The actor/actress no longer wished to continue the show. It seems like Boone's death was largely because the producers and writers felt the need to kill someone, not only for shock value but because they had 'promised' at the beginning that someone would die. But I think it would be very interesting to see Boone go through the second season while dealing with Shannon and Sayid's relationship, and finding a life that was more independant of her. Also, I think it would have been fairly likely that Boone would eventually grow to be as useful as he had always wanted to be; I think that one of the main reasons that he was such a constant screw up was that he was so fixated on his issues with Shannon, and probably felt the need, at least subconsciously, to impress her in some way so that maybe she would love him in the same way that he did her. It's just unfortunate that his character was written off the show, because there were still so many directions that they could have taken him. Bump. whee I totally agree with'yah.
