Ashahis Arg, all of you stop it! This is exactly what I was talking about. This guild is horrible for anyone who wants a warm and friendly environment and everyone is just looking for something to pick at in someone's posts!!! I'm getting sick and tired of all the arguing, catfights and bitchfests. So I'm not going to say any more until things improve, unless I see a reason to.

I try not to pick at peoples threads, but I have to say that it seems like most of the people here are on the war path.

I'd like to point out that whenever anyone puts an argument up about how this kind of stuff is happening the ones who put the arguments up get smoked out of the water because of the mass favoritism.
The current insulting war going on between Polar, Jeoc and Mooby is an example of this.
The reason that I'm being open is because the worst you guys can do at the moment is kick me outta the guild. And if this is the way things are going, I don't really care.
I am in pain and I'm in a bad mood.

Ashahis The current insulting war going on between Polar, Jeoc and Mooby is an example of this. I have yet to levy a single personal insult in this thread. Can't we discuss, argue, and contradict without people taking the dissension as a personal insult?

Can't anyone just leave everyone else alone?! No!
URGH! I'm going to go lay down, my back is destroying my ability to think rationally and I don't have the patience to deal with this right now.

<2 cents' worth>
I've been a member of this guild for quite a while, and I admit that when I first joined I felt a little left out. Everyone was friends with everyone else and I didn't know anybody, so I just lurked for a very long time. But during the page-domination era, I started posting, and I got to know a few people here (Fresnel, Blossom, Your Destructive Fever, Pants, Duce and Jacky, to be precise) a little better, and from then on it was alright (I even became Blossom's second-in-command for a while, which was cool). But I can see why new members might feel a little left out - at first, it's a little daunting. I mean, we all kind of support each other - we donate to each others' quests, bump each others' threads and so on - and getting into that circle of people can seem like a big challenge for a new member. I know that people I've invited in the past have only stayed for a little while because they just didn't feel like they belonged. But I don't think anyone does it intentionally - it's just a reflection of the fact that there are a few people here who either know each other IRL or have known each other online for a pretty long time, and the closeness they have because of it can seem very exclusive to other people.
2 cents>

Ashahis Can't anyone just leave everyone else alone?! No! 1. How are we supposed to foster discussion and conversation to liven up the guild if we're busy leaving everyone alone? I would think that leaving people alone is antithetical to communication with them. 2. How are we to cure the guild of this "elitism" that you feel is so rampant if we can't have pointless arguments with random strangers like we do with our friends? First you say that we should chat more with the people we know less, and that we should treat people more equally. Then you argue that we should leave others alone. Which is it? Or would you rather us just be "nice" to everyone, leaving a feeling of insincerity lingering over the guild?

That's the worst kind of exclusion! I am so terribly sorry! From now on I'll try to exclude you whenever possible. But wait! I'm typing a reply to you right now, thereby perpetuating your exclusion from the exclusion! WILL IT EVER END?

[Shadow.Elven-mage] She's the spirit of your sorrow and the reason for your tears... |~^.[ Why is it that I read that and started thinking of the development and evolution of mitochondria?
Med School, you are DESTROYING MY BRAIN.
...Carry on. ].^~| ...She's your fury and your glory and your deepest, darkest fears. That IS weird. After all, mitochondria would be more along the lines of an obtrusive inclusion than an exclusive exclusion. It's ok, though. We slapped their b***h asses down to organelle status and showed them who's boss. Us. Or is it them? I think we need to go on a DNA war with the mitochondria and establish genetic control over them. Only then will we have true control over our own respiration without having to rely on slave DNA. See? Slavery is built into nature! Of course, as can be seen here, race as the basis for slavery leads to failure. True slavery flourishes when the lazy rely on the hard workers to do their work for them, while at the same time rule over them with an iron fist. That's why America is #1. The system is set up so that the idiots get rich while the hard workers get stuck in middle class hell. Then the rich idiots buy all the middle class' products, but then they become popular with the other idiots and receive more money with which to consume. Thus, capitalism flourishes and George Bush becomes president. Now you see why I had to start a whole thread for my random thoughts.
