"Singing" and "fun" where not synonomous in Relm's point of view -especially when she knew that the singing would be in public. But she knew Keme was excited about the kareoke and she wanted to hear him sing. Of course that meant she would have to sing too... the pictomancer expertly hid her fear on that matter. Her DressSphere seemed to have a different feeling about it, which made her smile wryly before turning her thoughts to focus on the rest of what the handsome male said. Before she got too caught up in just looking at him again. Her tail wagged happily at the thought of desert and her quick mind tumbled over the endless possibilities that she might want.
Then Keme's soft compliment floored her and Relm felt lost in his smile. That her beautiful bird thought her beautiful always amazed her -and she never tired of hearing it. Instead of saying anything she turned her gaze to the city as they entered, trying to figure out the distance it would be walking versus riding on the back of the big gryphon for the sake of curiousity. She knew the name of where they were going, but very little else about it. Trelweny said that she thought it was nice, but having never been the human was little help.
Well, it would be nice to be surprised. She snuggled into Keme, grinning at the looks of those they passed to see their ride walk down the street. Though she did not think about it, thankfully Aura's back was wide enough Relm's skirt did not give anyone a view.

Keme hugged her close as Aura padded down the street, ignoring some of the stares coming their way, but folks in the city seemed pretty used to unusual creatures making their way down the street. He smiled when he saw the sign for "Macaroni Grill" and he wagged his tail, glad they made it to the restaurant.

She purred gently as she saw the sign. "That's it, isn't it?" There was a tone in her voice that indicated how curious she was, as well as a hint of apprehension nd more than a dash of excitement. Dates were not really a thing she new much about, seeing as they were not often done in her world. Except for perhaps the Opera, which was far away from where she had grown up secluded from the world in Thamasa. Sadly, her knowledge of dates that were not the fruit came from Rikku -which while not necessarily a bad thing certainly left a lot of details out.

Keme nodded his head, "Yes, Moochi says the food here is quite good! I hope you like it Relm." he said shyly. He hopped off when Aura can to a halt and then knelt down for them both and he helped Relm off the Gryphons large back and he patted Aura's back, telling her to go off and stay out of trouble until he called for her.

Giving Aura a pet of thanks before she left Relm nodded absently and tried to smooth her skirt down to no avail before grinning almost shyly up at Keme. That he seemed to have gotten shy first seemed to affect her. Even on the day they had met neither was particularly shy. The artist felt her cheeks warm, remembering how she had practically finagled Keme to join the "sudo-date-party" after she had been roped in too. It had been a fun evening. Except for that car...
A pain gripped her heart, at the thought before she was able to shove it away. Tonight was not the night for such things. Setting her hands lightly on Keme's chest she leaned towards him in such a way that her stability relied on him not moving before she was angled normally again either on her own or by his actions. It was a display of trust. Of course as the front curve of her skirt went down the back lifted the slightest bit though not enough to show anything from all the ruffles. "I'm sure I will!"
She did not add that she could almost care two wits about the food -what mattered to her was being with Keme.

Keme wrapped his arms around her waist as he leaned in and kissed her lips lightly. He then pulled back and then held out his arm so she could take it and they could go in.

The first kiss of their first real date and Relm properly kept the light kiss chaste even on her end though she felt a delighted tingle shiver through her body at the contact. Mentally she chided herself, knowing her eyes were now overly bright as she took Keme's arm. As if she could help that she was in love. The actor part of her had hoped perhaps that she could control displaying it quite so visibly. Another part of her shushed that one on the grounds that this was their date, their time together and it was perfectly acceptable for her to show she was in love.
And Relm was practically glowing with love as they went inside. It took a force of will to look away from Keme to check the place out.

Keme walked proudly with Relm on his arm and he wagged his tail as he held the door open for her and let her walk in first. Once he was in, he got a good look around and he could see the place wasn't quite as packed as he thought, which he was glad for.
The hostess smiled as she saw the furry couple step inside, but thought nothing of it as they were pets, there was talk around the city that pets that walked on two legs were all over the place, shopping, eating, playing, just like regular humans. "Welcome to Macaroni Grill! Will it just be two for tonight?" she asked, smiling to herself since it seemed the two were clearly on a date and she had to stop herself from asking the female where she bought her dress so she could find one in her size.
Keme smiled as he nodded, "Yes, just the two of us!" he said, smiling down at Relm.

Not being much of a shopper or one to go out to eat (except for her time at Ivan's Delicatessen) it took Relm a few seconds to aclimate herself to the feel of the restaurant. Hopefully, Keme did not notice as he held the door open for her and she stepped inside. It was nothing like the taverns that were sometimes connected to the inns back home, and yet in some ways it was. Relm wondered at the hostess, and hd she known the girl's thoughts would have been very glad to have not been asked. Going around the awkwardness of the outfit being a creation of the DressSphere and as such custom tailored to her was not something Relm fancied explaining to someone she did not know. Actually, Relm would have felt a little hard-pressed to explain it to anyone, though she would make a valient effort because it was not in her nature to back down from a challenge.
She nodded in agreement as Keme answered, not quite sure what else to do. A date was a guy's turn to lead, right? Relm found herself smiling at the thought. It would be a change for her, but she could do it!

The hostess nodded and grabbed two menu's and two rolled up things of napkins and utensils, "If you two will follow me please!" she said and lead the way through the restaurant toward a table with two chairs across from each other.
Keme patted Relms hand as he lead her through, following the hostess to their table. Once they were there, he held Relm's seat out for her, wanting to be the perfect gentleman for her tonight.

Smiling at Keme -albeit a little shakily- she followed the hostess with a quiet "Thank you" as their table was shown them. Her mouth formed a small 'o' as Keme held out her seat for her, then she smiled sweetly & took a second to best possition her poofy skirt on the seat before he pushed her in. "Thank you, Keme." Relm beamed at him, folding her hands ladylike in her lap.

Keme smiled kindly at Relm as she thanked him and he took his own seat. He nodded to the hostess when she put their menus on the tables in front of them and told them their waiter would be with them in a few minutes. Keme looked down at his menu, suddenly feeling nervous. Was he supposed to order for Relm or let her choose her own food, or what?

Nodding to the girl as she left, Relm picked up the menu and started scanning over it. It was a little intimidating, seeing all the choices. Relm was more accustomed to places with only a few selections. But the choices all looked good -although her nose crinkled seeing the "healthy choice" entry- and the food smells of the place were certainly enticing.
She hoped her stomach would not voice its interest.
If she knew that Keme was worried about how to order she might have tried to console him, or at least share sympathy for she was floundering in new water herself having never ordered from a menu before. Of course while adventuring sometimes she was known to jump in and inturrupt when Grandpa Strago would try to make decisions -even over food- for her, but that did not mean she would do so here. Especially when she wanted so much to please Keme tonight.
Smiling cutely she peeked around her menu at the hummingbird male. "So many choices, and they all sound delicious. I've not really paid enough attention to Ginny when she's cooking, but I think they're talking about different types of noodles?" It was as much conversation as seeking an answer. "Both the Pasta Milano & Chicken Cannelloni sound good, and then there's this Chicken Scaloppine..." She fumbled a little over the pronunciation and tapped the spot, her eyes narrowing a little to read it. "But I'm not sure I know what some of these things are. Capers, prosciutto, capellini..." Relm read from the menu, then grinned shyly. "Maybe I should just stick to a soup."

Keme had finally opened up his menu and stared at it, also quite daunted by all the choices in there. Who knew there were so many choices for food. He chuckled as he peeked over his menu, blushing lightly, "I am sure everything here is delicious, but they make it so hard to choose!" he stated. He set his menu down when a waiter finally came over.
"Sorry for the wait, how are you two this evening?" he asked, holding back on taking out his pad to take their orders.

Nodding agreement she continued to read over the menu. In no way had she been able to look the whole thing over when the waiter arrived. Glancing first at Keme she leaned her menu down on the table and gave the waiter one of her best cute & innocent smiles. "Good. A little overwhelmed with the menu..." Relm mewed softly, pouting a little before smiling again. "But good."
Glancing back over at Keme her eyes sparkled and without realizing the words were said aloud added "Very good."
