Im prety good at judging character and such. This is what I got from Karin.
Karin is a genius. Anyone that works for Orochimaru is a genius and some sort of trait that will help him along the way. Karin on the other hand, was able to live through his testing and everything. Her trait that Sasuke talked about may have something to do with that.
He must of also treated her very well to put her in charge of something like prisoners. Treated her greatly, no like Sasuke, but close. I believe she was favorite, and she became very loyal to him. Like Anko when she was younger.
I think Karin also thinks very highly of herself, such as an Ino ordeal. Make sense. I believe that she thinks she can use her good looks and pursuade him to give her whatever she is looking for.
She was so high strung on not leaving, and now that she knows Orochimaru is "dead", she is leaving with him. Probably to figure a way to bring him back. Because if she is so loyal, then she would.
Plus, I like her character. I dont hate her, and I think she is going to become one of my favorites. I think she is the girl that Kishimoto has been talking about. Like everyone that it was the going to be Yugito, the powerful kunoichi from the cloud. <3

Karin has no good looks, if you look closely at her character she has spots or something. I dont like Karin, because to me it seems she just doesnt KNOW sasuke at all. I mean seducing him? That sortof thing doesnt work on a human iceburg.

That sortof thing doesnt work on a human iceburg. Spots? Are you sure that isn't just the quality of the scan? Or are you reffering to her personality or something? After reading some more of these comments, I got an idea. Maybe Karin might be made to be a fangirl to help show how Sasuke's personality has developed now that Sakura is no longer there to do it? I mean, at first sight, after the time-skip, it seemed as if Sasuke had lost all emotion. But now that Karin is here we see Sasuke doesn't look as cold toward people as he used to be. I mean, like others have said, Sasuke didn't like Karin getting close to him, but he didn't seem annoyed or angered by it. I donno, that's kind of a feeling I got. Not saying that's her ONLY purpose, she really is a Sasuke fangirl, or she's the only one who can help show this, but, I donno. All the fangirls are pretty much gone now, there's no one else to show how Sasuke has changed in this way.

Karin is sort of pretty, but seducing Sasuke was just.. so weird. I don't think Kishimoto will ever pair Karin up with Sasuke, though. I heard somewhere his favorite pairing is SasuSaku, even =B.
But I think he's probably adding these things to make the manga more interesting/funny/etc.

I heard that he basically, in an interview, said he hated it. 0o Without using those words.XD
Not that I'm saying he does...Contradicting feeling, OOOH!
The only pairing we know he supports is ShikaTema

I don't trust any interviews unless I see them myself, and I haven't seen any where he's mentioned what pairings he likes or dislikes.
I've -heard- of one, however, where he stated that he was a fan of ShikaTema, and that he was aware of the large fanbases pairings like SasuNaru and SasuSaku have. Also in this one, he said to remember the theme of the manga when it comes to pairings. Although.. this was the same one where he said AsuKure was out of the picture.. so.. I don't trust it.
And I would advise that no one spout off anything they're NOT sure of. [For instance, a while back there was a rumor going around about an interview where Kishi stated that he was a fan of NaruSaku. That did nothing but start arguments, since no one could find this so-called interview.]

But rumors of that particular interview have been floating around for more than a year, WAY before what happened with AsuKure took place.

So far, in the interviews I actually believe, he's mentioned nothing about the pairings, except for the fact that everyone should take a look at the "themes" of the series. This is pretty vague. But I'm okay with it, because some themes actually agree with the pairings I like.
As for Karin... I have reason to believe that her "fangirling" is pretty much for comic relief. And to show everyone that no girl can resist Sasuke. I still kind of think that she's loyal to Orochimaru, but not as obsessively loyal as... say... Kabuto or Kimimaro. She probably was awed by Orochimaru's power, and will probably easily swayed into rooting for the winning team - in this case, Sasuke.
I don't believe in looking into Karin's actions of seducing Sasuke too deeply. I think that it was purely to make things a bit lighter on Sasuke's side of the story. He's not about to fall in love with Karin, and that's that.
I still like Karin, however. SuigetsuKarin FTW.

"Will there be any development with Sasuke and Sakura or Shikamaru and Temari's reltionships?"
Kishimoto: I hope so!

I do remember reading somewhere about Kishi saying that Sakura's shallow crush on Sasuke wasn't a good quality of hers, but I think he was referring to the beginning of the manga. By the end of part 1 it was not the same situation. He said the goodbye scene was quite difficult and that he was very proud of it. He also compared her feelings with Ino's and said that Ino's were shallow while Sakura's weren't. I do recall reading this off of a website (with a lot of other official things to refer to) and not from some fan, but I can't recall where right now. The Ino and Sakura comparison I believe was reinforced in the chapter where Ino first met Sai. Sai was practically interchangeable with Sasuke for Ino simply based on looks, but Sakura was quick to point out that they were both different. Yet Ino was still all about Sai even after Sakura said it.
I am honestly not worried one bit by Karin. I think I would have been had she shown herself NOT to be another Sasuke fangirl, but now that she has, I actually feel pretty good about no romance. I mean think about it. Sasuke's known her for over 3 years and even still in PRIVATE he tells her to back away. Yes, he was passive about it, but Sasuke's been passive about a helluva a lot in his interactions with this team. He was "whatever" about Suigetsu being behind him naked. And he's "whatever" about this too in terms of body language, though he verbally tells her his peice. He needs her skills (though would have gone without them), but I doubt those skills are for baby-making purposes.
I'm not going to lie though. I found it extremely hilarious how in that one panel it looked like she was approaching Sasuke to give him a lap dance. I PML. Sasuke was looking totally pimpin' there.
Not to mention, if this girl was loyal to Orochimaru, we don't know what she plans on later. People shouldn't brush over this so easily I think. I'm not saying it proves without a doubt that she has an ulterior motive, I'm just saying that it's not impossible.

Remedi Kairi.nin Even with what little I've seen of her, I love Karin. <3 And Suigetsu.. Suigetsu x Karin, FTW. ninja
Also, am I the only one who thinks Karin doesn't REALLY like Sasuke? That she is just trying to seduce him into telling her some of Orochimaru's secrets or something? I mean, Suigetsu DID say she was extremely loyal to the guy, and Sasuke did seem kind of surprised when she changed her mood so quickly. You would think that, if she liked him, she would have approached him like that more than once during those two-and-a-half years..
Though if she DOES like him, it looks like it's only for comic relief.
I don't feel threatened by Sasuke x Karin at all.
I also agree about the Karin and Ino thing. That's all been explained before, so I won't repeat everyone.
I think that a lot of people are just freaking out over SasuKarin. We've only seen her in ONE chapter (Her a** in two. ftw?). I also agree with Kairi's Suigetsu x Karin idea. XD I mean, they obviously do not being in the other's presence. To me, that just screams, "They must develop into a pairing!"Exactly my thoughts. SasuKari is WAY too shallow in my opinion to develop. Can't see it happening. Though Kishi might always surprise us...then again, Kishi knows better. >_> Still, thought Sasuke still has his careless face, to me it looked like he didn't really shove Karin away like he would've to Sakura or maybe Ino. She's very straight foward and takes no s**t from anyone! =]

Sasuke's allowed Sakura in his personal space with no comment a lot more often then this chick who he has known for 3 years. That and his hand appears to be up sort of blocking her. Sasuke's worn a careless face a lot more often than not lately. I don't really see the need for him to act like he cares. She's just another fangirl compared to the many many MANY he's encountered before. It was nothing new, therefore nothing to require a surprised expression. He wore the "careless" face with Suigetsu naked behind him. Does that mean he was alright with it?

@ Viv: Yea I love her personna already, and we've only seen her once. She got the "Im hot. Im smart. And Im loyal to the evil guy and Ill do what I want when I want and you cant tell me otherwise" Sort of attitude I love. Which made me love Ino and Temari and later on Sakura. I love the strong, kick a** female characters.
As for the Sasuke x Karin. I am so sick of hearing about them getting together. I am telling you, I see KISHI IS SOOOO GOING TO PUT THEM TOGETHER!!!11!one! I think I might kill myself.
First of all. Like I said, she is using him. She seems to have no real interest in Sasuke what so ever except to use him to what i think, help bring Orochimaru back into power. Because remember Suigetsu said that she was loyal to Oro to the extreme. Why else would he put her at such a high position. I think she had a sort of father adoration towards him like Anko.
So I see Karin x Sasuke one more time, Im pulling a gun. Fck.
