i was wondering something i know suikoden 3 is 15 years after the dunan unification war and flik and victor are aroudn 30 years..but i mean maximilian was pretty much older in the other suikoden so i doubt they are dead or something..and how the heck did edge end up with the star dragon sword, did viktor give it to him to get rid of it, or edge is like an adopted son of viktor. edge do mention the sowrd was given to him by some one dear to him, so he was close to viktor that for sure.
any one has an idea where they are xd

also i believe if viktor was soem one dear to edge..viktor is pretty cruel to give him that sword xd i would hate to be stuck with it

when did suikoden 3 started becoming popular? a couple months ago, i remember the price for suikoden 3 was 20 to 25 dollars new. i went to the store today and notice it and was curious of how much it was, the price was $45 used eek ! when did it get so big?

come on. everybody is suppose to be hardcore fans here, i search it up on the internet but couldn't find anything, i thought maybe somebody knew here. i guess your not hardcore fans here stare

Hey... That doesn't have to be it... Maybe people just it into their blockheads that Suikoden is one of the greatest game series ever! Plus, it's not like we all watch the popularity of these games rise and fall... That's boring.

Its because of the rarity of the game. Just like its predecessors, it only had a few copies made, and not more was made after I think the 2nd shipment.

The suikoden series were easy to find for me except the first one. I finally have the whole collection now.

Indeed, it is about the rarity. Konami only made one or two full production batches of each of the three Suikoden games. So while the fanbase is strong, there are few copies to go around. The rarer the game, the more expensive it becomes. I got Suikoden 2 when it was still new, and Suikoden 1 used at Funcoland. So I got those cheap. You see Suikoden 2 now reaching between $100-200 online, because it's so rare to find a copy these days.

Suikoden 3 isn't getting more popular. It's just getting more rare to come by.

No. Characters in 3 that were in 2 do get a stat boost, as well as some new characters getting stat boosts. But no hidden characters from loading data.

do you have any proof of that, cause i don't think thats true. i think people just made that up cause they see that people from the other suikoden gain levels faster, but that happans with everybody if you started them off at the same level. i don't know if suikoden does the samething as other games, but when you gain levels, maybe it changes stats everytime, so if you gain a lv. and didn't like the stats they gave you, you can restart it and do it again. i use to do that alot a long time ago when i played 7th saga. if they do that, its impossible to figure out if they done that.

I'm glad I was able to get Suikoden III when it was still new then. Unlike the first two which I had to hunt down for over a year for. IIRC I only had to pay about $40 for Suikoden II, so I guess I got lucky there.
