"That is because the boys don't have to worry about perverts looking up their skirts." Naomi replied. She sighed and finally gave up on the skirt. She saw the small blush and smirked. "You were having a thought weren't you," she teased and then sighed dramatically. "Oh well. I guess it's true of what they say about boys your age. They all have one thing on their mind."

Ryou turned a shade pinker as he protested, "Of course not! I don't think those kinds of-- I mean-- I'd never-- You should know--" He stuttered on for a moment or so before he gave up, flustered, bowing his head.

Naomi chuckled and patted Ryou on the shoulder. "It's okay Ryou. You know I was only kidding." She smiled and pulled her hand away to adjust her book bag. "Besides if anyone was thinking that it would be that blonde you hang around with. I swear he is a bad influence." She stated.

"Joey?" Ryou questioned, his eyes widening faintly. He shook his head lightly, though he knew that Joey did have some... well, there wasn't really a word to describe Joey. "Yugi spends much more time with Joey than I do, and he's come out... pretty fine." He said, saying the last words cautiously.

"Then Yugi must be one of the lucky ones from what I've heard." Naomi shifted her bookbag again before continuing. "Then again you can't always trust rumors. Unless... you don't Yugi like you ought to." Naomi shrugged and covered a yawn with her hand. "I don't know. It's really none of my business what boys do behind closed doors."

"What?" Ryou gave Naomi a startled, blank look. Shaking his head slightly as though to clear it, he raised one in a tired attempt to shrug. A chain reaction ame from him when he saw Naomi's yawn, and he couldn't help but yawn himself. Rubbing his eyes, he shook his head again. "I didn't get too much sleep last night. I'm not too sure why, though, since I had slept past my alarm clock."

"Aw poor you." Naomi said sympatheticly((sp?)). "I on the other hand slept like the dead. Maybe you should start going to bed earlier?" She suggested. A bird flying suddenly caught her attention and she nearly ran into a lamp post. "Maybe I should quite daydreaming," she murmured to herself.

"Maybe..." Ryou agreed, and couldn't help but smile softly when Naomi zoned out, though there was a slightly concerned tone in his voice when he asked, "Are you okay? It's not usually a good day if you slam into things."

Naomi thought his over, tapping her chin thoughtfully before shrugging. "Meh. It'd be a good day even if I did run into stuff." she said. She rolled up her sleeves checking to see if she had her watch on. She looked at her left wrist, which had the Millennium Bracelet on it, and could have slapped herself. "Stupdi, it can't be on that arm." she scolded herself and then turned to Ryou. "You wouldn't happen to know the time would you?"

"I didn't have enough time to put on my watch." Ryou said apologetically, shaking his head. A slight glimmer of golden light came from his chest as the Millennium Ring surfaced on top of his school jacket, the spirit within awakening.
Bakura always wanted to be alert within the presence of another item. He cursed himself for using the body to go out last night, for it had left him slightly drained, and hadn't been aware of the bracelet until his host had registered seeing it. He hated relying on his pathetic hikari like this, but it was needed at times. He edged in closer on Ryou's conscious, in case he wanted to abruptly take control of the body. The boy wouldn't dare fight back.

Naomi sighed. "Oh well. If we're late, we're late." she said. "Makes a better entrence though." She felt Despire stir, uneasiness going through the mind link.
/What is it?/ Naomi asked her.
//I felt... I felt something. Another item... and I've felt this one before.//
/You mean Ryou? If you sensed it now then why didn't you-/
//It's not just that. I recongize it. I know it.// With that Despire withdrew back into Naomi's mind but stayed close, more on alert now then she had been.

Ryou's smile took on a slightly fainter appearance, his eyes glazing over just slightly. He was only like this for a second, waiting to see if Bakura was going to take over or snap some order at him, but he managed to relax when nothing happened of the sort. "Yes, the whole school will turn and stare at us." He agreed, nodding his head. "Me with my mixed-up buttons and you with your short skirt."
Bakura ignored the mortals' dull conversation, looking at the world through Ryou's view. From the boy's memories he knew what street the two were on and could tell that they were nearing the school, and he prepared to rest again. His host went to this school for mental reasons, though Bakura couldn't tell why. In Bakura's eyes, his hikari knew nothing worth knowing, providing no strengths and cursing him with his weaknesses. The dark spirit never tuned in during the school hours, although the closeness of the pharaoh's Millennium Puzzle and other things kept him excited enough to at least remain awake. He eased off, sliding into the Millennium Ring, paying attention only to his host's emotions, not caring for any words.

"Hey there Yuri!" Joey said happily and with a smile. He blushed a bit as he smiled, "Cool boots." Joey then remembered th time. "I guess we're all ready huh?" Joey said ready to leave for school.

Joey nodded and the group was off to class. Joey kept conversations rolling and, as his usual self, tried to keep the atmosphere light. They reached the gates of the school. "I wonder how this year will turn out. Hey Yug, what do you think? Think we'll have a good first day," he then thought about all the bad things that have occured here, "or the usual...."
He then looked at Yuri, "I think you'll like it here. You'll have no problems with people. They'll be too scared of you!" Joey joked not really measuring Yuri's feeling with that statement. He wasn't being mean, just... well... being Joey.
