Wacheza leaned down and dropped the fish in front of them. He had torn out it's gills, and it stared at them with it's dead eyes, though Wacheza didn't seem to notice, "They're salty, the fish, but they're good too. As long as you don't swallow bones by mistake... they make you cough. Mind if I have a bite of your rabbit Zuri?" He asked, moving his head to the side thoughtfully.
He had taken a large bite out of the side of the fish, but he left it at Zuri's feet so that she could take a bite if she wanted one.

"Sure," said Zuri as she nudged the dead rabbit closer to Wacheza. Zuri leaned down and took a bit of the fish. Her eyes winced from the taste of the salt, but it was actaully quite tasty. This pride had really good food. She took another bite of the fish happily. "This is really good. It tastes great."
Zuri was impressed with herself. For a lone cub who had just gotten lost from her family, not knowing if she'd see them again, Zuri was quite calm and put together. Perhaps it was just that she had hope she would see them again, or maybe it was the hospitality of Wacheza that comforted her.

Wacheza happily munched on some of the rabbit, not used to someone so different than his own family. He had not exactly hung around with the other members of his pride, since he was so young, and he was glad that he could help someone in trouble.
"I'm glad that you like it." Wacheza smiled, still looking slightly absent since -as usual- he was only half-listening to what she told him. It was just how he thought. There was always something else on his mind somehow, "You did a really good job of catching the rabbit. I can get fish... but for some reason rabbits don't like me very much. I guess they're just too used to lions eating them..." He babbled thoughtfully.

"My ma taught me how to hunt, she's a great hunter," said Zuri with a smile as she chewed on some of the fish. After swallowing, she resumed speaking. "Rabbit hunting just takes patience and you have to be quiet and sneak up on them."
Zuri took another bite of the salty fish, what a rare delicacy, probably the only chance she'd ever get to eat fish this tasty.

"Yeah..." Wacheza nodded a little, "But fish are easier. They're less smart. Or maybe just more trusting..." He looked thoughyful again, "I wonder what they think... fish, when they realize that they've fallen into a trap. It must be really scary."
He took another bite of the fish and went on looking like he was somewhere else. He did that a lot. Even though he was close to Zuri, another butterfly still flew over and landed on his ear.

Zuri nodded at Wacheza's comment. True, the prey must feel pain, but without eating the prey, Zuri would starve. It's the food chain, that's just the way life has to go.
Zuri took another bite of the rabbit, it was all very tasty and she was just about full, but she knew she needed to keep eating before heading off on her own. So, she took one last bite of the rabbit before stepping away.
"Alright, you almost done?" asked Zuri, ready to go to sleep now.

Wacheza nodded a little bit, "Oh, yes. I'm finished." he snapped back into reality, taking his eyes off of the dead fish and standing, stretching out slowly.
"Come with me, I know a safe place to sleep around here. We're so out of the way, the biggest preditors around here are us and some big birds. And big fish, but they stay out in the ocean, they don't come into the shore." Wacheza explained thoughtfully.

Zuri nodded and got ready to follow Wacheza to whereever he was going to lead her to. "So, what's this place like? I mean, aside from the sea, what do you do at this pride?" Zuri tilted her head curiously. She was going to be on an adventure soon, she might as well learn about the world and her surroundings while she was at it.

Wacheza found her a safe, small cave just off the coast over a few hills, "It's peaceful, mostly. Accepting... everyone is really nice. Well, except my brother. He's a jerk." He pranced down a few rocks to find soft sand at the bottum, "But there's almost no fighting, we all work together. It's nice. Dad says that there are prides out there that are really scary... here we're family."

Zuri smiled at Wacheza's comments about his brother. Zuri's own brother wasn't a jerk, of anything, she was a bigger jerk to him. But they loved each other very much, they would never do anything to really hurt each other. They made a promise that they would always look out for each other, no matter what. "It sounds nice, very peaceful and relaxing, just like my own home, though we do a lot of travelling and it is only my small family and I," said Zuri, looking down at her paws tiredly.

"I like being here... I mean, I like to hear about the outside world, but I don't want to leave. That's the last thing I would ever want to do..." Wacheza trailed off, blinking a few times as though lost in thought, "I mean, my sisters... my other brother... we all get along. I like my pride... everything would change before... if I ever left..."
Wacheza shook his head and smiled, as though trying to get rid of a passing thought, "Sorry, I'm being silly. Staying in one place must sound awful if you like to move around a lot."

"Its fun to move around, get to see places and learn new things. Although, if you live in just one place, I guess its not important to see other places as much," said Zuri, questioning her own previous theory of the neccesity to travel. Shrugging it off, she looked around for a few seconds, then releasing a long yawn.
"So, how much longer till I get some sleep?" asked Zuri, feeling sleepily.

Wacheza blinked and then smiled, nodding, "I'm sorry. I just... like to hear about new places I guess. I'll leave you to sleep here, it's safe. If you find anyone else from my pride, just say that you were playing with me add you should be okay. When you wake up, just head back in the direction you came. If you see a big cliff, then you're headed in the right direction. Just follow it inland, and follow the nose in the stars... just a collection of them, at night. They should keep you headed away from here and back where you came."
Wacheza then pranced back to the outside of the cave, glancing back over his shoulder, "If you ever come back this way again, come and say hello to me! I had a lot of fun hanging around with you Zuri, I hope you find your family."
((Wanna wrap it up?))

"Thank you, Wacheza, for everything," said Zuri. "If I do return, I certainly will come to visit again, I will look foward to it."
Zuri smiled as she stretched out her back with a yawn. Slowly cradling herself into a curled ball of fur, the young lioness drifted of into a dreamy state of sleep after a long day, and an even longer adventure awaiting...
((Sure. whee ))
