"I'm not his babysitter, Sasuke." Shikamaru said to the dark eyed boy. "If he gets himself into trouble, it's his own damn-ah hell!" He cursed when he saw who was now below him across from Kiba.
"Too bad for you, I found him first so just go ******** off!" Kiba snapped at the older Uchiha. First Sasuke and now him...great. "What other purpose does he serve other than for food? He wandered into Shikamaru's territory so you have no right to him!"
Shikamaru started cursing more, but wouldn't interfere with his charge until necessary. "That idiot! He's only been a vampire for five years, he's no where near strong enough to take on that rogue!"

Hinata stared out from behind a tree, her light violet eyes shimmering in fear as she watched Naruto being aruged over by vampires. She tucked a piece of black-purple hair behind her ear and tapped her fingers together, a nervous habit of her's. "Oh...Naruto-kun..." She whispered. I knew those boys shouldn't have dared him. Poor Naruto-kun. I would have given him ramen...I just wish he hadn't done this... She wanted to go out and protect her blond friend but after listening to her cousin's words of how weak she was she wasn't sure if she could help her friend.

As Shikamaru sat in the tree keeping an eye on what was happening, he caught the scent of another. What's with these humans now a days? he thought as he crept through the trees before coming down behind her. "You know, this forest isn't safe for your kind, girl."
((As a note, Shikamaru was born a vamp so he won't know anyone from outside the forest, like Hinata and Naruto.))

Sasuke growled under his breath as his attention turned to the other human, a female. However, since Shikamaru was confronting the pale, trembling girl, he gave her no thought. Keeping his eyes on Kiba and the boy, he sat quietly, his arms crossed as he, listened to both of the conversations.

Hinata gasped as she turned around to look at the boy. she took a step backward and felt the tree. "I-I know... I just...I-wanted...t-to help N-Naruto-kun." She said, stumbling over her words as she trembled. "P-Please don't hurt N-N-Naruto-kun."

"I'm afraid you shouldn't waste your time worrying about him anymore." Shikamaru said and moved closer to her. "You saw the guy with the long black hair right? Well, if him and his group want Naruto, then you'll never see him again." He reached out and grabbed her arm to keep her from running. "You should worry more about yourself." he leaned forward and nuzzled her neck and took a deep breath. "You smell really good."

Hinata tensed up, tears in her eyes. She tried to pull herself from SHikamaru's grasp. "Please...don't. You've already got two of my friends. And...I'll scream!"

uhg' Sasuke thought, his nose scrunching in disgust. Sure, if you liked the smell of fear and terror! That was why you had to kill your prey before it knew it was prey! Other wise the fear would toughen up the muscles and leave a strong bitter taste after drinking the blood. Unable to help himself, he called out to Shikamaru.
"Hey, Are you Really going to go after her?" alerting the vampire and girl to his pressence. He leaned against the tree trunk, his arms folded across his chest as he looked down on them, his eyes dark.

"What's wrong with her?" Shikamaru said and pulled his face away but didn't let go of her arm. "I was thinking I'd bring her back to my place...I think your brother scares her." He looked at her and smiled, the tips of his fangs showing. "Though I probably scare her too." And as long as we can bring someone back with us, maybe Kiba will give up the blond an not get himself killed by Itachi.

Hinata seemed to shrink when she saw the Uchiha. His dark looks sent off a wave of fear for a second before she clamed herself down. She was the heir to her clan! She shouldn't be scared of a few little -Yeah right- vampires. She looked over at Shikamaru when he smiled at her, repressing a shudder at his fangs.
((Hey, LK, should we have Kiba and Hinata know each other?))

"Actually, Sasuke, both this girl and that blond boy are still in my territory. Yours starts on the other side of that stream over there." Shikamaru said and pointed. "Either way, I don't make messes when I eat. Besides, I never said I was going to eat her."
((Yeah, he's only been a vamp for five years so he could be the last person to have wandered into the woods.))

"hn" Sasuke gave a noncommitial grunt, jumping down from the tree to land next to Shikamaru. Giving the girl a once over, he snorted and crossed his arms over his chest. Looking over near the blond and Kiba, he looked back and forth between the two.
"You can have the female. The Blond however..." he trailed off, caught in the scent that radiated from the male. Now That smelled like prime blood!
"How much do you want for him?" He asked Shikamaru suddenly.

"Eh?" Shikamaru said and blinked. "Well, I'm not very greedy so normally I'd say you could just have him, but....your brother is not welcome in my territory. Get him to leave and you can do what you wish with the blond. I'll go get Kiba."
Still holding onto Hinata, Shikamaru moved around the tree and to where teh others could see him. "Kiba, let's go. You can amuse yourself with this girl."
Kiba looked at Shikamaru and when he saw the girl he was talking about, his jaw dropped. "H-Hinata? Is that you?"

Hinata frown. How could the barter for Naruto-kun? How they barter humans and their lives!? ANd naruto-kun going to an Uchiha...Everyone had heard of the Uchiha's and how they had been when they were human...she could only think they would be ten-times worse as vampires and here were two vampires, two Uchiha vampires fighting for Naruto-kun. That angered her slightly but she knew better then to voice this around the Uchiha who wanted him so badly.
Hinata's eyes flew up at the voice and grew wide. "K-Kiba-kun! Kiba-kun! You're ok!" She had been friends with the Inuzuka before he had gone missing and was happy to see him again. She didn't know he as vampire though. She ignored the facts that told her he was, just happy to see her friend again.
