My mom is a drunk, so I've had plenty of experiences centered around the possible negative effects of alcohol. There was one instance of her, naked, throwing bricks at the neighbor's house.
In my humble opinion, pot should be legal if alcohol is. Tax the s**t out of it. It's like tobacco, people will pay a ton for cigarettes, but won't bother to grow it themselves. I hear all this crap about border violence because of cops trying to stop drug dealers. People lose their lives, it costs a ton of money, not because of pot, but because of the fact that it's illegal. It's ridiculous. What are the real bad side effects of pot? You'll eat a lot of chips. You'll likely gain weight because of it. You'll have no aspirations because you're totally fine with working a shitty job and watching cartoons on your days off. And that's not even a guarantee. Those are just the bad, POSSIBLE side effects.
E/X/Ecstasy/MDMA was originally used in therapy. MDMA makes you freakishly happy, allowing people to talk about things that would otherwise be painful, offensive, or embarrassing. It became illegal after club kids starting abusing it. Now let's go over the possible really awful side effects: Promiscuity (everything seems so hunky dory, while not have awesome sex with some person you don't know? Regardless, I know very chaste people that won't full around with anyone while rolling, simply because of their morals), overdose, and exhaustion/dehydration (usually caused by people dancing nonstop). There's a term known as "Suicide Sunday," used by club kids, referring to the day after using E. This is because E caused your brain to vomit forth Serotonin, which regulates mood and appetite. The next day your brain is depleted, making the person extremely unhappy. This can be lessened by taking supplements that helps increase Serotonin levels.
LSD/Acid destroys your sense of direction, resulting in more than one person getting lost in the wilderness while attending parties in remote locations. Pain receptors are dulled. Depending on the amount used, it is possible to lose your sense of reality.
I'll go more in depth later, I have to go.
