yes, i definitely say the manga was better. Zeffie wasn't in the anime and she's my favorite chatacter ( after shugo) the anime wasn't bad, tho, really. itwas kinda just different. the story plot wasn't as good. in the manga, rena isn't in a coma at all, which i like. ^-^

You guys all like the manga better it seems.
I still like the anime better. I think the music and the sounds really set the mood and got you really into it.

quick question, i just started watching and on wikipedia it mentioned something about tsukasa being a girl...and he/she looks quite gender amorphus so please clear this up for me...

I like the manga better. For one thing the way everyone is characterized is more bearable, and makes the characters more dynamic. The plot is also more relevant to all other .Hack incarnations.
But I do like the anime because of how it's centered around the issue of death (in the end at least), and the theme of people having the need to believe in an afterlife (the Japanese aren't very religious are they...?). And Morty kicked a**. But after watching it so many times, I finally cracked and I just can't stand listening to the Enlish dub. gonk
Speaking of which, does anyone know who else Sanjuro's seiyuu plays? While I was watching it in Japanese I got this irritating sense of familiarity from Sanjuro's voice, I just cant' pinpoint who he is.

i think that the manga is way waaay more original.
in the anime they've changed so many parts of the story.
besides,
in the anime,
the voices are so gross.
it doesnt matter if you watch it in english or japanese,
they still suck. domokun

im gonna have to say manga but that's probably just because i haven't seen the anime. from what people say about it's not very good, but i'll decide for myself when the time comes.

BreathLessX Hey. I like ther novels. -___- I also like the manga. My fav right now is GU+. It's my main one. I also like 4Koma! biggrin D Diddo, 4koma and G.U.+ are both very good mangas. ^^ The novels are great too. 3nodding
