2 dogs, brett and pepper
3 cats, tiger(rescued him from a tree, when he was a little kitten.) Spirit(she found us on halloween morning, she was outside the front window, so i let her in and she was skin and bones, she was starving, but shes eats quite a bit of food now, and is not as skinny) Karma(last kitten in a litter my sister brought home with her)
1 rat, Jeremiah (in a mall, where he could of became snake food)
4 guinea pigs, bo(mama who gave birth to 3 healthy babies; mitch, bazil, captian jack)
a lot of hamsters, however I have 2, ava and myra, I saved them from my sister who never takes care of her animals she never cleans cages or anything, but now they live in a nice healthy home with fresh bedding.)
2 birds, Izzy and Lenny, also my sisters, but again she never takes care of them, they rarely get fed, so I sneak in there and feed and water them.)

However I have had many animals in my past life. I saved a cat from a tree, and another little abandoned kitten who was left in our shed, I've saved birds in bad rainstorms from where they couldnt fly and they were weak, and I would keep them in a box over night till they flew away, my neighbor helped me with this, we also saved a bird with a fractered wing. I saved a little bunny who caught in the fence, and the fence was cutting into the poor thing, i cut the fence even though it was on school propery. Ive also helped at the local humane society, where i played with dogs and cats. We had a ferret, but she died of a cancer in the liver. I also had another hamster who died. I also had a husky mix wolf dog, his origional owners gave him to us, but he ran away back home. We also feed a stray dog that used to hang around here, she was a prety husky with a pink collar.

Out of four cats, two rabbits, one dog, and one millipede these are rescued:

Three cats, one dog, and frankly I count both rabbits as rescues even though they're from pet stores. Pet stores take awful care of rabbits and I couldn't bear to see my little guys so sick and sad.

I have rescued every animal I have or ever had, except for my betta fish.
My first guinea pig was a pure animal abuse case, with me right in the middle of it (I was 6 yrs old), then there were a bunch of pigeons that I rescued because they were hurt or weak or something, and then my current piggy (pic in my siggy heart ) I got out of a shelter.

Well, I have a dog named Chico. When we got him, he was very well taken care of, but there were alot of other animals in the house, and the house wasn't very nice. But I don't really think that's a rescue story..
But there was a cat out on the streets. She came to us basically. She was in pretty bad shape. You could see her ribs and she was really filthy. She didn't have a collar so we kept her. We named her Kitty ninja . :3

I have to add two more animals to my rescue list. I now have 4 Betta splendens fish, and two of them are rescues. One, Everest, has a swim bladder disorder, so he can't sit horizontally in the water like normal (his back half sinks to the bottom), and the other, Roselyn, has an odd abcess on her head just before where the gill guard ends. I'm amazed at how well Everest has done, considering he looked so near death when I got him.

If you log into Dogster.com or Catster.com you will find alot of stories of rescued pets. The stories can be tear jerkers so have a hankie handy. as for my pets I have 1 rescue dog and 2 rescue cats currently,..... my older cat I saved from the pound. the younger one we found in alley all covered in stickers, the dog was abandoned in park as a puppy and the people we got her from were going to take her to the pound so we took her... she is a sweet dog....

April 2003

My Dads horse was due to have her baby foal that week. She found it really hard because she had a weak heart. It was really late at night after Ive been on a ride on one of my horses. I heard Coco winneyin , it sounded like she was in pain. I knew what was happening , and helped staight away , I dismounted of Roger (The horse I was riding) and tied him to a fence , then I ran towards Coco's stable. My Mum and Dad where still out so I was by my self. I kept resuring her and srokeing her to calm her a little bit. Then a cute baby boy foal was coming out ( sweatdrop Sorry if you think this is nasty) I kept talking to Coco while I helped the foal come out. Coco was still struggleing after her baby foal was born , but luckerly my mums friend came by to see if my mum was in (shes a vet) and helped Coco. We called the baby foal Magic because of his shy personalty. Coco is fine today and now Magic is grown up and is now , cofident and bubbly. Here are some pics of him when he was a foal.

I dont have any injured/orphaned wildlife at the moment but over the last 5 years of my life i have done the following:
raised and successfully released 100's of orphaned mice, birds, cats, dogs, squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and foxes.(well i dont release the dogs and cats! i find them good homes! teehee)
I have healed and released mice, birds, bats, frogs, snakes, squirrels, and chipmunks.

My most memorable was probably my first orphaned group that i found.
I was exploring on the trails through my woods. I came to a road and there was an injured/dying raccoon that had been hit. I ran her to the near by vet. He helped birth the four kits and then the mama died. He checked the kits health and kept them for a few days, then talked my mum into letting me keep them since i rescued them. she finally agreed and he gave my information and i bunch of numbers to call if i needed help. i raised three of those kits successfully. the other one died early in life because of a bad cold crying i miss little Abhay but at leased he is watching his three sisters now wild in the woods. The three sisters that were released were named Bhuvana, Tarangini, and Abey. They have little tags on there ankles so they still come around sometimes, less and less though because they are, thank god, going fully wild.

they got me started in taking in orphaned wildlife. before them, i only took in injured ones
