Rivener smiled, but his eyebrow quirked. This Raevan didn't know who he was? That's odd. Something a newborn would say... But surely this one couldn't be Isi's.

"I'm Rivener," he said, puffing out his chest slightly. He thought he probably looked very intimidating to a newborn, strong as he was, bristling spikes from his clothes and wings, intense red eyes... Heh, Rivener suddenly realized he was starting to be as vain as Roux. He chuckled to himself and deflated, leaning back comfortably. "I'm a Raevan like you," he added.

Aphismet smiled and nodded. "Most likely yes," he said, amused by his brother's enthusiasm. "She should be along shortly with your new Raevan! I wonder what he's like... Or maybe it's not even a he! Wouldn't that be something? I don't really know how Rivener would react to that..." Aph suddenly started worrying how Rivener would act around the newborn, wether it's male or female. The Scorpion wasn't the easiest person to get along with, selfish and begrudging as he was...

Rivener frowned. Was his name really that hard to say? He had never had difficulty learning it, as he recalled. "Reee-Verr-Nerrr...." He mouthed each syllable carefully, trying to get the other to repeat it. "Come on, it's not hard!" he encouraged.

"I'm not sure if it's a boy or girl, and I don't know what Riv will do. He's so unpredictable... He could either fall in love with it, or hate it, or think of it as a pet or a brother, or he might try to kill it... I really don't know. It could go any which way." Aph glanced back at his Raevan finally, spotting the minty green newcomer. Aph's eyes widened. "OMG, Isi, look!" he whispered. "A Raevan I never saw before!"

Rivener smiled. "Yes, you did good. Very good! Rivener!" He patted the other on the head, which seemed to be the thing to do. Rivener liked this one, he was cute and endearing. "So, you don't have a name yet? How long have you been here?"

Aphismet shrugged. "I don't know; I've never met that one before. Maybe it's yours, but why is it wandering about all on its own? Shouldn't it be under someone's watchful eye or something? ...Most likely it's someone else's, someone who works here in the lab."

Yes, that made more sense...

Rivener liked that this one was touchy-feely. Not like Roux, who hardly allowed any contact. Rivener, being part cold-blooded Arachnid, liked to touch things that were warm, like skin. Reaching out, Rivener began to idly play with the other's hair as he listened. "Hm. I'm sorry to hear that. How come you are running around? Don't they keep young ones like you locked in the back where you can't get into trouble?"

A sudden thought occured to Riv; if this was the case and the Frei here just got free without anyone's knowledge, then it might be possible that this little one WAS Isi's. Hmph. What should Riv do if it was? He already kind of liked this Frei, but he'd promised himself he'd hate Isi's Raevan...

Aphismet patted his brother's shoulder. "I'm sorry. But don't get your frowny face on; there IS a Raevan in here for you... We just have to be patient and wait for a staff member to come and show you!" With that, Aph turned back to the bell and rung it twice more, leaning over the counter. "Helloooo? Anyone around? Miss Chloe?"

Rivener blinked in surprise when he heard that this one got to play with Laz. A pang of jealousy hit. So much so that he almost didn't hear the part about going through walls. Riv frowned. "You go through walls? To get away from Lazarus? Where is Laz, is he here?" Rivener had been wanting to thank the Fire Raevan in person ever since winter, that long while ago when he'd been so close to death. "And what monsters?"

Aphi smiled over at his brother and ruffled his hair. "There there, Isi. I know it's torture; it should be over soon."

Chloe suddenly burst through the doors, looking extremly harrassed, and then - when she came into the main lobby - extremly surprised. "A-A-Aphismet! Isi!" She gave a woeful look to the Raeven, full of pity and worry with just a small touch of frustraition.

"Y-Y-You sh-shouldn't wander like that! I-I've been looking for you.." She spoke as gently as she could. The poor Raeven had been on edge from all the machines. She'd tried taking him to a room with as few machines as possible but Roux had decided he wanted to occupy that space and refused to allow the minty Frei in. She'd lost him somewhere around there... he'd gone through the walls, most likely, and she'd spent the whole rest of her time until now searching every nook in the back of the labs looking for him.

She walked toward the Frei slowly and carefully, the way one might approach a cornered animal, her hand extended. "C-c-c-come here, please... s-so you can meet him?"

Shy, the raevan backed away fromRivener as if he had donw a bad thing by going near to him. Bowing his head and looking up at her beneath his knitted brows, the young frei slowly floated over to her like a deer. He tested his approach, kept his eyes on her all the time, and reached out for her hand. He hadn't meant to run away through the walls, but the icy raevan was giving him that frightening look. He didn't want to be underneath that gaze so he edged away while Chloe was pleading with Roux. Then he found himself in a room with some 'monsters' so he made his way through the white maze until he found Rivener. Now he reached out for her hand and as soon as they touched, he rushed forward as if he were stumbling from a crumbling cliff to safety. The young frei stuffed himself in her arms and tucked himself close to her.

When she mentioned 'him', the newborn looked excited and happy and confused and shy and sad all at the same time. Glancing over to the two men, the minty frei wondered which one was his until the taller one stepped back and left the smaller one with the weird things on his arms. Assuming that the younger boy was to be his own, the newborn hid his face in Chloe's neck as if he were a child being urged to meet a new person.

Isi, by this time, could only hear the heart beating in his ears. Was this the one? All this time, this minty green frei was his? He had created this being? Fathered this floating body? It was strange to think on it and the boy could only watch the raevan with new eyes. He could feel his face shattering into a smile of disbelief and wonder, but he felt frightened to meet this new charge at the same time. He glanced once back at his brother with that befuddled smiling stupor before he glanced back at the newborn and Chloe.
