valkyrie_lisa I just had the worst weekend of my life. My doctor gave me Misoprostol (generic for Cytotec) and told me to take 2 tablets intravaginally every 4 hours. They're supposed to open up your cervix and contract your uterus so that whatever's in there will come out. I took the first dose on Saturday morning and by 2 1/2 hours later I was in such severe pain that I was screaming and doubling over every couple of minutes and my dear husband had to drive me to the emergency room. Luckily, they put some pain meds in an IV and that reduced my pain from a 10 to about a 2 or 3. The doctor examined me and was able to take out the tissue that I was trying to pass. It was about the size of a tennis ball. The nurse told me later on that it looked like no embryo had ever formed. The doctor told me to take just one of the aforementioned pills by mouth (weird how it can work both ways) every 6 hours and accompany it with a Vicodin until the bleeding stopped or until I had been checked out by my regular doctor. I'm going to see my regular doctor today, so I'll see what she says. I've never been in so much pain in my life. In a way, I'm glad it's out so I can move on. But I'm also really sad to know that it's really over. I am so sorry for you. sad I was put on Misoprostal as well and it went terribly wrong-- I bled through two pads in twenty minutes and I passed out from blood loss, plus was running a high temperature. My boyfriend had to carry me down three flights of stairs and I can hardly remember anything up until they put the narcotic into me (which killed all of my pain thank god). I was unable to afford my vicodin prescription too so I'd also say my pain was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. I ended up needing an emergency D&C and I know what you feel-- it's so eerie to know it's all over. Again.. I am so sorry and just know that you're not alone.

I was going to be joining the Preggers thread today, but unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Had a miscarriage early this week when I was just after the 6 week mark. My husband and I have been handling it alright, I was a mess on Monday though after I saw first-hand what a 6 week "baby" looks like; that part disturbed and upset me.
Anywho, wanted to post just to be able to say it more then anything. I had a miscarriage at this early stage back in 2004 as well, so this isn't my first time dealing with this.

Today was the year anniversary of my miscarriage. I made it without freaking out(although I was sad) . I am worried that I haven't gotten pregnant again yet though :/
