Lions. Easily.
But the idea of a zoo seems kind of cruel to me... Sure, it has breeding programs and stuff, to prolong the survival of the species in question, but shouldn't animals have their freedom?
I'm not exactly too sure about this, but I've gotten the impression that most animals we see at the zoo never leave. It doesn't seem right to me.

Most of the animals do have their freedom; zoos are working to make habitats larger and more natural.
Some animals don't leave because of imprinting; thhey rely too much on humans to be released or they have some sort of problem that may cause them to not be successful in the wild; hence, they use their offspring to do reintroduction plans.
A few years ago, a large number of Grey Wolves were released into Yellowstone, introduced by some wildlife rehabs and zoos, and have made an amazing comeback.

Oh, that's hard.... maybe the monkeys or the prairie dogs. Or the tigers. Or the red pandas. It's so hard to choose!

It makes me sad to see them in their enclosures, pacing back and forth.
I also love the Lion King! It's one of my favorite movies. I've loved it since I was little. It makes me happy. Have you seen it on Broadway yet? It was wonderful. The performance of "The Circle of Life" made me tear up. I was touched.

Well, I DO love the bat exhibit, although the one at the Maryland Zoo is extremely tiny. I also love the otters, and the feeling seems to be mutual. The last time I went to the zoo, the otters ran up to the glass wall as soon as they saw me coming. From there on out, they followed me (as much as they could, being in an enclosure) as I walked along the outside, and even when I went under the tunnel, they swam around the tunnel. It was so cute! Other people were coming and going, and they just entirely ignored everyone but me 3nodding . But as for my favorite?....Hmmmm......I don't really have one. The Maryland Zoo is kinda tiny, so I don't know.

Wow...lots of emoticons. eek I agree. I always thought that there was a certian cuteness to the animals that no one else seemed to think beautiful. Hyenas, for example. I always thought they were beautiful, but my friends all think they look like they were put together wrong. xp
