it comes down to two factors really. the skill of the pilots as well as the fact that epyon is exclusivly designed for mele combat while the zero has weopons suited for both short range and long range battle.

yeah - if you had a superior attack and dodging capable pilot in Epyon - you would have the upper hand. If the pilot of Epyon wasnt capable of dodging the long range weapons of Wing Zero then it would obviously go the other way.

and that zechs was able to handle and pilot the zero long before hero did

HUnh///looks kinda heavy duty...and red xp blech Blue and white is sooo much betterz (Yes I'm basing my descision on whhich is a better color..its what I do when in doubt)
ANNND Quatre can pilot with the Zero system too.

actualy by the end all 5 pilots seemed able to grasp it somewhat

Gotta go with the Epyon...A real Warrior shouldn't use guns to distance himself from his enemy... They should enjoy carving their opponent at close range

Actually the only pilots who didnt go mad with power are herro and Zechs/Miliardo (he goes by both names) Quetra did first run the zero system but it almost basically killed hima and he destroyed a colony or some sort of important thing in space. Wu fei wasnt able to handle it very long either in fact none of the other pilots were able to handle it for the amount of time that herro and miliardo were. and one more thing the epyon had a customized version of the zero syatem which in the show or on some website i cant remember which they called it the epyon system but you are right in figuring that it is basically the same exact thing. oh and id have to go with wing zero because the wing zero could match the epyon in speed and power but yes the epyon was built for close range and yes the wing zero was built for both. i d still go with the wing zero though considering it was built before the epyon and the epyon was basically a copycat with a little different paint job and body style
