I saw something on Yahoo! News, saying that Sanjaya might be AI's last hope.
Probably because his funny antics is something fresh about the show and keep people interested.
I think he's okay for a singer. Obviously, there are other people more deserving of the title (of American Idol) but I guess he'll keep getting votes because people want to keep seeing him on the show.

That's silly rumor. If American Idol (or Fox, if you want to get technical) loses Simon Cowell, it'll prolly lose a lot of it's viewers...
