In the room the lights were dim, and there were no windows, creating an unintentional shady atmosphere. Judas placed his hands on the top of the desk and a square section in the center of the desktop lit up. Even with this minor improvement of light, Judas squinted like he was staring into the sun.
"Please." Judas offered a nod and a short gesture of his hand. "You'll have to forgive the lighting."
Pavel, the younger, blonder man, seemed patient and ready to wait for the introductions with both hands clasped behind his back.

Amon dismisses the apology with a wave of his hand.
Amon: "No need to apologize for what makes you comfortable. Behind me are the heads of each of the syndicate's four Sectors. Nathan Hewring, head of our offensive sector, Horus..."
A wiry and weathered man with mid-length gray hair and eyes concealed behind a pair of dark sunglasses, dressed in a double-breasted navy suit with a brilliant red tie nods to the man behind the desk.
Amon: "...Leif Nilles, head of our defensive sector, Seth..."
A man of less height than Amon but similar bulk inclines his head respectfully. His red hair is cropped short, and his brown eyes seem to be investigating every corner of the room as he tugs habitually at the sleeves of his gray suitjacket.
Amon: "...Leslie Knight, head of our intelligence sector, Thoth..."
A slender woman dressed in black formal attire nods. Her green eyes sparkle as one hand plays with the brown hair held back in a simple knot, a smile barely making itself known on her face.
Amon: "...and Trey Lorence, head of our medical sector, Imhotep."
An unhealthily thin and balding man wearing a camel suitcoat with gray slacks nods, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose as he does so. This maginifies his watery blue eyes and adds to the air of nervousness he seems to exude.
Amon: "I am Amon Ra, chief executive officer of the Ra Syndicate."
He bends at the waist in a form of sitting bow, creasing the black jacket of his three-piece suit that echoes the wear of the two Deity executives before him, then straightens and leans back in his chair, waiting for this Mr. Melleas to introduce himself and the other man who stood next to him.
Amon: Formalities are all a part of the dance...how I hate it.

And now it was their turn to stand around and give names. Judas raised a hand back towards the man behind him. "This is Pavel Mengsk. He is without rank or title, but there really is nothing that functions without him around here." As his name was mentioned, Pavel gave an impatient nod. Seemed he was interested to be elsewhere, doing something more important.
"I am Judas Melleas, the Senior Financial Officer of Deity's Barton division." After the introduction, Judas offered what looked like a short, friendly smile, and paused.
Pulling his hands back towards himself, the illuminated squared of the desk changed color and display. An aerial image of the Ra Syndicate Complex took up the whole of the screen, showing itself only to Amon, as he was the only one of the five close enough to see he screen sufficiently.
"We have taken a certain interest in your business, Mr. Ra. We have also noticed a certain..." Judas clasped his hands together on the edge of the desk and tried to keep eye contact with Amon from across the desk. "...Lacking that becomes apparent in some organizations early on. Business is a rough trade that often eats it's young."
Judas was giving a mix of euphemisms; sugar coating some of what he was saying while giving it pretty straight otherwise. There was some doubt as to how experienced the visitors were in situations like this.

The picture of his complex from the air did not seem to faze Amon one bit. There wasn't much to be learned from the layout, and there were very few distinctions between buildings other than size.
Amon: "And you want to get us first, before we're either claimed by your competition, go bankrupt and sell off our individual parts, or collapse and lose any sort of worth?"
His tone is level and polite, but in his mind he is seething with fury. Amon knew when he was being talked down to, and he didn't like it one bit. However, in the interest of finding out if he had hit the nail on the head, Amon keeps his tone civil and refrains from an angry outburst. He also hates what he referred to as "politic-speak"; obfuscation and double-talk, smoke and mirrors, but again, he refrains from comment.
How such a man gained such a high corporate position is a mystery, really.

"We've been doing this for a long time. While our entrance to this place is rather recent, we have already secured a corner on the market beyond all reasonable doubts." The image of the complex faded from the screen and was replaced by the Deity corporate emblem.
"We've yet to find any evidence to prove that there are those out there capable of rivaling Deity's strengths. I don't see any room for competition."
Judas was being very clear and frank about his views and Deity's intention, what he seemed to miss was just what he was planning for the Ra Syndicate. His face didn't change in expression from that level-headed seriousness. Whatever he was saying; he meant it.

Amon: I'll bet you don't see room for competition...
The threats in the financial officer's words were veiled, but there.
Amon: So it's join or be destroyed, is it?
He strokes his chin thoughtfully as if considering Judas's words, then muses:
Amon: "Including my syndicate."
Meanwhile, behind him, the Sector Heads seem to have relaxed slightly (except for Trey, but he's always nervous). Nathan has pulled a pen from his pocket and is spinning it around his thumb absent-mindedly, Leif is twiddling his thumbs, alternating the direction of rotation occasionally, and Leslie is writing down something on a legal pad that had been stowed in her briefcase.

"There are many options. I am ignorant of your background or the full extent of your projects and assets, but there is the likelihood that your existing technology could be beneficial."
Assimilated was the right word, but Judas made no mention of it. As he saw it, there wasn't any need to. Because there weren't a lot of options.
There was no doubt that Amon knew what was happening. All that they were waiting for was a response.

Amon nods.
Amon: "Have I any say on what happens to my current assets in the course of a...merger?"
Amon knew assimilation was what was really being implied, and at this point he knew it was the only way to keep something that resembled the Ra Syndicate afloat. Otherwise, they'd likely tear them to pieces, and Amon had little doubt that they possessed the power to do so.

"Of course." Judas gave a nod and leaned back into his chair. Demeanor changing entirely now that the agreement was finally made.
Pavel cleared his throat and coughed into a balled fist. "What happens now is your choice. But whatever you choose Deity will be the priority owner of all of current Ra Syndicate assets. A certain survival of the fittest test will take place."
Pavel paused for a moment, scratching at the corner of his nose before putting his hand behind his back once more.
"Over the course of the next few days Deity personel will go through what Ra Syndicate has to offer. Outdated technology and other items of little value will be scrapped and sold for parts. Things that have some potential will be salvaged and funded by Deity's R and D efforts. A joint effort of former Ra Syndicate staff and Deity will work to improve and perfect."
He coughed into his hand, again.
"Everything about Ra Syndicate may become another limb of Deity Incorporated, maybe even yourselves if you choose to stay and oversee your 'merger.' Otherwise you can and your staff can walk away from a sale as very rich."
"There will be room to negotiate."

Amon listens to Pavel's explanation of what will occur if the syndicate is taken, and what he hears comforts him somewhat.
Amon: "My people have done some research on your current holdings..."
He reaches behind his back, and Leslie deposits her notepad in Amon's hand, which moves back in front of his body. Though the light in the room is dim, he scans the scrawled list before him.
Amon: "The sector which probably possesses the most technology that is novel to you is Imhotep, followed by Thoth, then Horus and Seth."
He returns the notepad to Leslie, who has a mischevious grin pasted across her features. Coupled with the increase in the intensity of the sparkle in her eyes, she is the picture of impish intelligence.
Amon: "As for what will happen to my senior staff and the members of the board..."
He leans forward and steeples his fingers.
Amon: "The board members can join your stock commitee, or whatever structure you have for overseeing profits. However, I ask that my senior staff remain with what was Ra Syndicate, and that we maintain our structure within your organization."

"All in good time." Judas leaned forward in his seat, pressing his right hand flat on the illuminated glass square. The Deity emblem faded and white line outlined Judas' hand.
Text appeared and scrolled as information filled the empty space on the square. The text, however, was not in Gaian or English. A contract that had already been outlined orally by Pavel.
Another palm outline appeared and waited for Amon's right hand.

Before he presses his hand down, he looks at his Sector Heads.
Amon: "Your thoughts?"
Leif clears his throat and voices his opinion. Despite his large and imposing frame, he has a soft tenor voice that is pleasing to the ear.
Leif: "It sounds as though it will be in the best interest of the company, sir."
Nathan nods his approval to Amon as Trey speaks up.
Trey: "Sounds like a good deal to me." Leslie: "Oh, hurry up and put your hand down, Amon!"
With a grin, he turns to Judas.
Amon: "The council has spoken."
Abruptly, his large right palm contacts with the screen with a thud, probably taking up more space than the outline on it covered.

It was done.
A full handprint, written, and verbal contract agreed upon. Seven personal witnesses and a full recording would make it official and binding.
They'd be free to sit and discuss the terms as they saw fit. It was assumed they would, and once all that could be met was so, the meeting would be over.
((Lazy end to it, since I figured a post needed to be made. ))

The lead armored figure hit the door like a truck. Each door swung open to full extension and stayed there with an armored fist pinning one side open, letting the rifle point slack at the ground. The two pairs of men carrying coffin-sized crates rushed in through the doors.
Both dollies, which were essentially oversized palettes with wheels, steered the massive boxes to either side of the door under the spoken commands of the remaining two soldiers. With each box standing at six feet they would have made an effective barricade for the door.
Except there was plenty of space between them to access the door. Which the two soldiers did.
All six would later reappear three stories up on the open-air roof.

A small group of undead approached Deity Offices. However, unlike the rest of the abominations rampaging through the city, this group wasn't out to destroy anything. In fact, all weapons were put away as they walked towards the building. Moonblade and the other undead accompanying him would have totally waltzed right into the lobby, save for the fact they barricaded the front door shut.
What would be the point of breaking through and making Deity Inc. suspicious of an attack? That'd be no good, seeing as he was sent as a messenger/diplomat. So instead he broke off from the group and did a standing jump up onto the roof, where he would try to find another way inside.
The other undead, being mindless and without orders to attack anything, stood around doing nothing.
