This was delivered in the same bland tone that one might discuss the weather, so it's possible the specific words might be missed. However, even if the words WERE heard she doubted that Nuka would pay attention to them. Not even a death threat could be taken seriously these days!
His comment about "others" had attracted her attention, though. "Others? Are we talking about those couples you mentioned, or..." Or an actual GROUP?

"Now why would you want to go killing poor old me? You think anyone's going to believe there's a goddess running around somewhere?" Even if he was good at making people believe what he wanted he doubted that would impress anyone other than a foal. Even then it would take a very young naive foal.
"Well there's a pair of them, not really worth talking to unless you want an argument. There's at least one other lady running around, haven't met her but she has to be somewhere. And there's bound to be more if you just go looking hard enough"

"Maybe I'm the sort of goddess that demands blood sacrifice. You aren't offering me one, so I have to get one somewhere! Though..." Tilting her head, Mardi gave the stallion a thoroughly scrutinizing look, her multi-colored eyes raking him from top to bottom. "...You don't look like you've got a lot of blood to give, so I suppose that would ultimately be a waste; I'd have barely any blood and no company."
And THAT would be a tragedy, especially since, from the sound of it, this area was markedly lacking in decent socialization possibilities. She couldn't help the slight wrinkle that came to her nose as Nuka detailed the options, or rather lack thereof; this place had to be even more dull than the one she'd left!

"If you want blood then i'd go slaughter a coyote. Those things are probably good for it." He grinned and shook his head. "Besides, what better way to get a sacrifice than to do your fellow Soquili a good deed by ridding them of a nuisance?"
Though if you asked around killing him would probably do the same thing. He was sure that some of those he'd met considered him a nuisance.
"You seem like a fun loving girl. I'm pretty sure if you explore you'll find something fun to do. And if you don't then you can always look me up."

Still, even though Mardi's tone was light the gloom that had been dogging her footsteps was back. How far did a girl have to go to actually find some LIFE in this world? Much farther than this, that much was certain.
Well, travel she could manage, at least. Tossing back her curls, Mardi gave Nuka what amounted to a confident smile. "Well, I"ve got my goddess powers to help me out; with that sort of assistance, how can I lose? Though I suppose I'd better get on that if I want to make any progress."
That said, she gave the landscape a measuring look. Somewhere out there was a social group, there simply had to be!
But she wasn't going to find it standing around here. "Well, it's been a blast, Nuka; thanks for the conversation and the meal tip, and until next time look out for mud."

"If they take offence then they can come take the issue up with me" He'd just get rid of them and then no one would complain."
As she looked across the landscape he chuckled. "You go do that. Make sure ya have fun out there and when ya get bored of all those silly little lovey bats you come look me up again."
