A.R.G.U.S Mykal Is it gonna have new artwork and fluffyness?
-Mykal I think so, with a reproduction of old art no doubt as well. But methinks that the cover will show the Imperium (dare I say, Imperial Guard whee ) fight against Orks on Armageddon.

-Mykal Well, not this year, that's fo' sho', seeing as WHFB gets their yearly slice. Maybe there will be another LotR campaign in 2008, who knows?

menoftanith Lt. Brookman Actually, I think that this gaming format will make it easier to use multiple detachments, not raise the amount of force organization slots per army list. As for the reply of "menoftanith": Guess what? Not everybody is blessed with access to large amounts of money or a credit card, so I applaud this move of GW. im a student with parents that are both on dissabilty benafits its called getting a job and working hard for what you ant not whining that you cant afford it theres only afe wluxuries i allow myself and my baneblade is one of them and i waite 2 years befoer i got that so i think i kind of have a reason to be pissed at gw doing this, normaly most people would be up in arms about the potential of fluff being destroyed but nope its fine for them to do it this time as it saves people some cash What do plastic baneblades have to dow ith ruinging the fluff. Assuming i read that mess correctly.
Also I could 'work hard' and buy some birkenstock sandals, but that doesnt mean i cant say theyre over priced.

I think he's saying how baneblades are limited and as such shouldn't be allowed to be bought by "mere peons." That would contradict the fluff.
For the record, the "fluff" and "game" are mis-assligned. If it was the case, Chaos, Marines, the Inquisition and Eldar armies would be smaller and fewer in number. I reckon that there's at least 3 marine players for every guard player out there.

Despite mentioning the fluff, that isn't what he's ranting about.
What he's saying is that he had to pay a premium for the Forge World Baneblade and he worked really hard to do so, and thusly he should be allowed to complain that other people get a cheaper Baneblade.
Which is bogus on a whole level that neither Bill nor Ted can even comprehend (much like the post).

Oh, I covered that in a previous post, and didn't want to repeat myself.

-Mykal Agreed on marines, inquisition and chaos especially. There are a lot of issues with representations in game from the fluff, but for baneblades specifically. Considering the book is for large games, to me it seems appropriate that thered be some non titan super heavies. And the baneblade happens to look better in my opinion that the other 3 (i think) super heavy tanks the imperium has.
But oh well, my issue is with what he said, so Ill stop there considering we seem to agree anyways.

And yay for a most excellent movie reference.

Actually, the other super-heavy designs are too specialist to be of any great use in general. The Shadowsword and Stormblade are special titan killing tanks, where as the Stormsword is a special cityfighting / siege tank. Yon Baneblade on the other had is the ideal battle tank, with weapons for dealing with everything, not just one type of foe. The thing I'm wondering out loud about is, will this plastic Baneblade be a Mars pattern, or a Lucius pattern. I'd personally prefer a Mars pattern, but we can't be too picky with this gigantic treat already.

There are almost no cosmetic difference between the two, though it can be harder to tell with pictures, so the only differences I know of are the physical ones prescribed in the book(which involves movement speed and armouring). Personally, I like the Mars Pattern though.

Yeah, the Lucius pattern sports more armour due to poor quality ore that was used for it's armour and due to the extra weight had to use a more powerful engine, but the result in armour and speed is the same as that of the Mars pattern. The Lucius just weighs a tad more and uses recoil absorbers on the barrels of the mega battle cannon and demolisher cannon.

apparently every army will be getting a mini with the release of Codex: Apocalypse.
I honestly can't wait to see what this codex will bring, in fact it is the sole reason i am bulking up my army to 3,500 hundred points (from 1,750).
