"Really?" He asked jokingly, smiling at Kisa. His smile and eyes were always gentle towards Kisa, but rarely did so to anyone else. He examined her face, and he just laughed. "Haha.. You're here, but you look so tired!" Kohaku told her, giving a small chuckle. "Are you sure you got enough sleep last night?" He joked, and he wobbled on his klnees so he was behind her. He put his arms over her shoulders as if he were comforting her, and pulled her into a hug from behind. He rocked her back and forth slowly, knowing she was tired. "Why don't you take a quick nap?" Kohaku asked Kisa, continuing his gentle rocking motion.

Kisa nodded, smiling back at him. Again an actual, real smile. But when he laughed she paused, then shifted uncertainly in place. "I may have.. not," she mumbled quietly. She hadn't gotten much sleep, honestly. She'd had trouble keeping her eyes closed, and ended up leaving and wandering around campus for hours. Then she'd gone back, picked up Kurri, and come here.
At first, when Kohaku tugged her to him, she tensed slightly. But it only took a second for her to relax again, and she felt strangely calm behind held like this, swaying lightly side to side. It wasn't long before her eyes dropped closed. Kurri slipped from her limp arms, and settled in the grass beside the two, absently batting at a blade of it with his paw.
For a few minutes, Kisa just saw darkness. Nice, peaceful, black. But then an image began fading into view, soon covering everything. She looked around, finding herself at the edge of a rather high cliff. She edged towards it, peering over, and noted she couldn't see the bottom. There was a man there. She didn't know him, but he seemed familiar and smelled of wolf. She fixed him with a blank stare, and he just smiled, then slowly walked towards her.
"Did you know wolves can fly?" he asked cheerfully, and without a second's hesitation, shoved his hands into her back. Kisa let out a scream, feeling herself tumbling over the edge of the cliff. She reached for the man, but he just waved, and soon he was out of sight. She found herself plummeting downwards, her eyes squeezed tightly shut and her breath gone, stomach left at the top.
She gapsed a few times, without getting any air, and then suddenly let out shrill scream, echoing off the clifface she was falling parallel to. Part of the scream was because she was falling, but she'd also felt a sharp stabbing pain in her back, near the shoulderblades, and again just under them. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to reach the spots, as if covering them would help ease the pain.
However, she felt something wet and drew back sharply, eyes widening as she saw the blood on her fingertips. "Wh-what..?" she stammered, momentarily seeming to forget she was falling. "What's going o-!" But she cut off, the loud sound of tearing fabric ripping through the air. She let out a silent gasp of pain, eyes wide again, a dull grey color.
Four large, black feathered wings had burst from her back, stained with blood from their cutting through her skin to freedom. It hurt.. It hurt so bad, but they started flapping and she abruptly stopped falling, and instead darted upwards towards the sky, higher and higher...
Kisa awoke with another scream. All during the dream, she'd been writhing around silently, and now she actually made a sound, quite a loud one. Her eyes opened, the same dull grey. She felt her back burning, stinging and throbbing, and felt the blood dampening the back of her torn shirt. She froze, eyes wide in silent horror, as she refused to look behind herself and confirm the wings were there. But, she could tell from the way Kurri was staring, that they were.

Kohaku was actually pushed away by the force of the wings that had torn themselves out of Kisa's back. His icey-blue eyes were wide from shock, and his pupils seemed to grown smaller. "K-Kisa..?" He gasped, examining the four, bloodied black wings that had emerged unexpectedly. She got up from sitting on the ground to a crawling position, and he quickly scrambled over to Kisa. Blood had staines his hair and clothing, but Kisa was the important matter right now.
He propped her up so he could hold her tightly to him. He didn't know how to deal with these things. He didn't know how to stop Kisa's bleeding, or her pain. His eyes and brain were filled with confusion, and he felt tears come to his eyes. He remembered how his parents had died... and he didn't want Kisa to die too... She was... precious to him. "D-don't let Kisa die, G-God!" he begged quietly. He repeated this over and over again, officially sent into panic.
"K-Kisaaa..." He sobbed, dragging out her name longer than needed. He put his hands over some of the spots that the blood was pouting from, and this resulting in bloody hands. "I-I d-d-don't know what to d-do..! I hate s-seeing this! I-I l-love you too much!"

Kisa sat mostly stunned, not responding as Kohaku hugged her to him, or attempted to block the wounds with his own hands. Her ears were flattened back, and she was wincing, eyes squinched mostly shut. However, they widened again when she heard him speak. She had been about to feel horrible, after getting over her initial shock and pain, for making him cry. However, now her shock just grew greater.
Had he said love? Love? Her bowed head slowly lifted as she raised her face so she could see him. Her eyes were still vastly grey, with random colors flickering through at the edges. Silent tears streamed down her face, eyes watering from the pain in her back. The feathers looked ruffled, bloodsoaked, and her shirt was torn up in the back, the wings exploding outwards and tearing right through.
She was absolutely silent, just staring at him, and then she suddenly lunged forward. It hurt when she moved her arms, but she lifted them to hug him tightly, her face pressing against his front as she practically clung. "I-I'm not going to d-die.." she said quietly, voice a little shaky. "I j-just..." She trailed off, and before she knew it, she'd started crying. "I love y-you too.."

Kohaku gave a half laugh half sob, coming out as something similar to a hiccup. He was suddenly filled with an ecstacy greater than a child going to a candy store, larger than a million years, wider than the earth itself. He almost didn't believe what he was hearing, but he didn't mind. He just pushed himself up slowly and weakly with his legs, still holding Kisa as he did. Both he and Kisa were standing now, and so he picked her up carefully, walking into the pond. He would almost seem crazy, but he spent a lot of time here, and he knew almost all of the secrets that there were to be found in this specific field.
He was in up to his neck, so just his head was popping out of the water. He lifted Kisa up so she wouldn't drown in the water, due to her height compared to his. The water would quickly wash away the blood and stop the bleeding, and it could numb the pain in her back for a while. Of course, the water was cold, but it was easy to get used to with Kisa clinging tightly to his body.
He wiped her tears from her eyes as he supported her with one arm, whispering, "Hush, hush... it's.. o-okay now." He rocked her gently back and forth, just like earlier, but he was in front of her this time. He nuzzled her cheek with his, humming softly. He then laughed, and he said, "I-it looks like we're w-wet... again? R-remember?" He asked her, remembering the day at the inn.

Kisa's shoulders were shaking lightly with her crying, which definitely wasn't helping her back any. She felt exhausted so she couldn't heal herself at the moment. Yet, at the same time she felt wonderful, better than she'd ever felt in her life, as she clung to him silently sobbing. They were tears of pain, now mingled with happiness and relief. She hadn't felt as alone since meeting Kohaku, and now... things seemed even better. She hadn't thought they could get better.
She stood up shakily as he did, hanging onto him for support, until he'd actually picked her up. She felt the water hit her bare feet first, and her body gave a small jolt of surprise. She'd shut her eyes again and hadn't seen the water in advance. But after that, it didn't take her long to get used to it. She just hugged Kohaku to herself, eyes opening slowly when he wiped her tears away.
Her eyes were still grey, but not quite as dull and lifeless. She couldn't feel the dampness of the blood because now almost all of her was damp, and the water had somehow made the pain fade away. She lifted her head and smiled weakly up at him, nodded lightly. "Y-yeah, we are.." she agreed, letting out a faint laugh.

Kohaku laughed, giving a small shiver from the cold water. His icey blue eyes lookind down into Kisa's grey ones, and he just smiled. He slowly back out of the pond, and he laid her down on the ground carfully. He then crashed down next to her, more petals flying up into the air as he did. He pushed back the hair that covered his eyes, and he peered over at Kisa. He rolled over once, now closer to Kisa as to keep her warm. His eyes closed as he grinned boyishly.
He once more found himself hugging Kisa to him, he being the one that was cold.He gave her a small peck on the cheek, and he smiled, enjoying this moment he was sharing with Kisa. He knew that her hands and feet were clawed, and that she had four wings, but he Didn't mind. He loved her for her personality... but she was very beautiful, in his opinion.
"Now..." He said, heaving a sigh, "Let's get that happy green back, shall we?" He asked her teasingly, a small laugh coming afterwards. He looked at Kurri, the black kitten, and he blinked. "Oh yes, that's right." He reached into his pocket, and he brought out a small bottle, and a small bowl too. He poured the liquid within the bottle into the tiny bowl, and he gave it to Kurri. If Kurri drank this, he could communicate with Kisa. "Drink that and say something, 'kay Kurri?" He told the kitten, and he turned back around to continue cuddling with Kisa.
Kohaku was very mysterious. He always had a way of finding things out.

Kohaku carried her back out of the water, and st her on the ground before settling himself down beside her. She smiled at him, hugging him close as well. She was wet, and it was kind of cold, but his being there made her not mind so much. Her eyes closed as she snuggled lightly against him, cheeks flushing just the lightest bit at the small kiss.
She was relieved, very much so, that he didn't seem to mind the fact she'd just sprouted wings, or that she was only a half demon, and now probably a mix of something else. She remembered, somewhere in her fuzzy memory, being picked on. If they knew she was a mix of three different things, it would've been even worse. But, Kohaku didn't seem to mind and.. she loved him for it.
Her ears twitched when he spoke, and she lifted her head to look at him. Her eyes were a greyish green, but still mostly grey. She sat up, watching as he pulled out a small bottle and bowl and poured the liquid contents into the latter. "Say.. something?" she echoed curiously.
Kurri glanced at Kohaku, remembering Daisuke saying he was probably able to help. So, with only a small pause, he went forward and began to drink. He drank it all, without pausing, and then raised his head again, pink tongue licking his lips. He stared at Kisa, then slowly opened his mouth. "So.. you can understand me now?" he asked.
Kisa's eyes widened in surprise, and all she did was stare blankly at him.

Kohaku smiled victoriously, adn he nodded. He understood what Kurri was saying, and he was sure Kisa could hear the kitten as well. "Hai, Kurri." He told the cat, rubbing Kurri's head gently. "What about you, Kisa? Did you understand him too?" He knew that she did, but he was just making sure. He propped himself and Kisa up, and kept and arm over her shoulder to keep her near him.
"Soo..." He said to the cat, giving the cat a sly smile, blinking once or twice. "Would you mind explaining to Kisa and I what you and Daisuke-san were planning, Kurri..?" He asked, keeping his sly grin on his lips, his blue eyes giving Kurri a playful piercer.

Kisa hesitated, and then slowly nodded her head. "Y-yes, I do," she stammered, obviously extremely surprised. Kohaku was capable of doing things like that? She glanced at him, feeling his arm around her shoulder, and at first just stared. Then she smiled lightly, the grey in her eyes becoming more and more green, as she leaned slightly against him. The large wings weighed her down a bit, so she slumped a little forward. She looked towards Kurri next, waiting for a reply to the question.
Kurri blinked, then sat down where he stood, in front of the both of them. "I guess I can tell you," he shrugged. "Since it worked, and as a thanks for this." He waved a paw towards the bowl and then continued. "We simply wanted to get rid of your loneliness, and wanted to see you two together as a solution. That's it."

Kohaku grinned, satisfied with Kurri's answer. He knew it all along, but he wouldn't tell this to anyone. He figured that the results wouldn't be that good if he told them that he knew what they were planning. He let out a laugh, because he remembered that Ayame was in on this plan too. "Cat's are very inteligent creatures." He said to no one in particular.
He once more patted Kurri's head, and he stood up, and he pulled Kisa up too. "Well..." He started, looking Kisa in the eyes. "It looks like we have some work to do, regarding your wings." He said to her. "I know that keeping them out all the time becomes a hassle, so I'm going to teach you how to make them go away and come back." He told Kisa gently, running his hand along Kisa's wings. Sleek and black, while Kohaku's were large and white. Quite different, their wings were.

Kisa blinked, ears drooping slightly, but only for a second. Then they perked again and she smiled lightly. She felt bad she'd made him worry, but was glad that he cared enough to try to help.
Kurri smiled at the comment, looking quite proud of himself, even though things had pretty much worked themselves out and he hadn't really done all that much. But his little hints every now and then had helped a bit, and he felt he deserved at least a little credit. And yes, cats were really smart creatures.
Kisa was pulled to her feet, and grabbed onto Kohaku lightly for balance. There was a strange weight on her back, the four wings being quite heavy, and she definitely wasn't used to it. She looked right back at him as he spoke, and slowly nodded her head. "Yes. I have.. no idea how to use them," she said quietly. In the dream she'd flown a little, but she somewhat doubted she'd be able to now. And she'd rather like a painless way of discarding and obtaining them for the future.

Kohaku's wings once more appeared on his back and he stood next to Kisa, then moving behind her as he examined the four wings. He scratched his nose and thought, concentraiting on each of the four places that the wings came from. This was puzling, because Kohaku didn't remember how he made his dissappear! He learned it... so long ago.
Kohaku let out a sigh, and he shrugged his shoulders. He then remembered. He remembered that his older sister had actually reached inside his cest, and she pulled out what had been blocking his wings from going back into his back. However, Kohaku wondered if he was able to do what his sister had done to him. He snapped his fingers, and he nodded suddenly.
"This might tickle a little..." He warned Kisa, a faint glow emmiting from his hand. Kohaku lifted his hand and he sent it plunging into Kisa's chest. There was no blood or wound from it, but Kisa would be able to feel something in her chest being gripped and pulled. Kohaku slowly moved hid hand out of Kisa's chest, and he held something spherical in his hand. "There you go..." Kohaku said nervously. "Mentally tell your wings to... dissappear." He instructed her.

Kisa stood perfectly still, trying not to wobble or anything under the strange weight on her back. She glanced over her shoulder at Kohaku and watched as he looped around to stand in front of her again. She blinked at the warning, and opened her mouth to ask what he was going to do, when he suddenly reached right into her chest. She froze, mouth still open and eyes wide, as she stared down. She was extremely tempted to shove him away, but decided against it. It might cause damage or something.
Instead her hands clenched, and she let her mouth close along with her eyes, just standing there and trying to deal with the very odd feeling he was creating for her. She kept holding her breath, and would suddenly realize it and drawn in air when she couldn't breathe. Finally, he withdrew, holding something.
She immediately covered her arms with her chest. It was like she'd been grabbed, but instead he'd actually gone inside, which was even stranger. Her face was even lightly red. But she bowed her head slightly, closing her eyes again as she listened to him. She concentrated as best she could, focusing... and then the wings disappeared, and she nearly fell over from the absence of the weight on her.

Kohaku took in a few breaths, bent over. When he was bent over, it looked like his front side just... caved in. He practically formed a perfect arch, becuase he was not only thin, but tall as well. He then stood up straight, and he noticced that Kisa's wings were gone. He let out a relieved sigh, positive that he didn't pull out the wrong thing.
"S-sorry.." He stuttered, noticing Kisa's reddened face. He could tell that it was rather... akward. Yes, Kohaku felt a little strange when his sister had pulled out... whatever it was... out of his chest, but it must've been twice as strange for a woman. He grabbed Kisa's hand, placed the orb of sorts in her hand, and he closed her fingers around it. "It's... important. Don't lose it, okay?"
