He groaned and huddled on the ground. "Please, forgive me," he said, but there was a bite of hate and irony in his voice. It wasn't like he was trying to keep babies from being stolen or any thing noble like that.

"Then hold still." She says, grabbing a long, strong towel from the cart. She bends down and reaches for his hands, attempting to tie them together. She plains on ditching him in the nearest closet with a proper gag over his mouth. It my not be perfect, but was better than leaving him here in the hallway, though it was empty because of the time.
Tesunie starts to cry a little, the first slightly loud noise he has made so far. The fight started him it seems.

Now that she had stopped clobbering him, the slave tried to be cooperative. He'd get in far less trouble for this than if he'd just let her go to begin with. Because most every one was asleep, and he was actually the main guard on duty, it was easy to drop him off with the laundry.

After she had dealt with him, she carried her baby in her arms. "You will live a life away from pain and slavery. I promise you that. The stories of freedom you father told me about well be true for you." She starts to head towards an exit, hopping that no one else will interfere. Her arms were full and she wouldn't be able to fight anyone off right now.

After leaving the birthing place with only a minor set back, Maeria set off into the city. Tesunie once again seemed to quite down, seen as all the commotion from before has ended. She meanders a part of the city she isn't fully familiar with, though she is sure she is heading towards her families estate. Once there her family would support her, if not help her out of the city itself.
On the way, a happyful reunion happens. She sees her lover in the streets. Even at this time of night, he was still doing something.

Laerith was not expecting to see the mother of his child so soon. Why, she must have just had the baby, and he expected her to be resting far away at a birthing compound.
Laerith was busy carrying, like a pack animal, things his mistress had brought to barter with in town. When he saw Maeria, he first thought that she had come to see his mistress, since the two of them were of the same family. Yet he couldn't help staring at her as if she had come to see him.
((haha, you play her relative XD))

"I am so glad to see you here. Laerith, I need your help. I ask this for our child's sake." She looks around, though no one seems to really be near, and those that are don't even seem to notice them yet. "How far are we from the estate?" She stops herself before she says too much for people to hear. What she had to say would most likely cause much trouble.
(I thought his mane was Luca? Ahh, I like your name better!) (Is the other relative here? And do you mean Minlee? I can play her fine.)
She carefully shows him the bundle in her arms, the small baby boy that had far more of his features than hers. The brown hair was his, where she had black hair. The baby's skin was also a little lighter than hers, once again like his father's, though a bit darker than his as well.

(Im sorry! I totally forgot that you named him! ack! And yes, play the woman who is his master, whomever that may be)
"Oh!" he gasped quietly. "What a precious little girl." He assumed as such, seeing as how she had made it out of the birthing compound with the precious little bundle. He didn't know enough about babies to know that it was probably too young for the birthing place to let her go off with it yet, even if it was a girl. "I'm so happy for you, Maeria."
Learith looked to his mistress for help, since she was the one who controlled where he could go, and she was the one who could offer her relative a place to stay.

(I'm gonna call it Minlee. I guess my history has already changed a little. Well, stealing a baby, along with beating and gaging a guard, and the nurses uniform, as well as the broken cart... I think she is in enough trouble. Her sister wouldn't report a 'stolen' slave.)
"We need to get inside, quick." She pats her love on the cheek, understanding that he doesn't get what is really happening. "Sister, I am going to need your help." She gives Minlee a serious stare. Her sister knows her well enough to see she means what she says.
"My, back so... Wait, you didn't!" Minlee gasps in shock. "You are right, we do need to get you inside, and now."
As Minlee starts to take some action, telling Maeria's love where to go, Maeria starts to grow weak. The adrenaline that had kept her going so far starting to wear off. "Min, dear. Can you hold him. She says softly."
Min's eyes grow large. "You really didn't, did you?" She couldn't believe what she was just hearing. Her own sister just stole her own male child from the birthing center. Why? All this trouble for just a boy? Doesn't she get it? She always was the one to take pity on the guys. Minlee takes the child, as he coos in her arms.

(when they book her the authorities will still use that as one of the charges, or try to)
Learith begins to sense the seriousness of the situation, although he still hasn't quite made the connection yet. He is more worried about the rugged look of Mearia, which is easier to discern. "We will find you a place to rest," he agreed humbly, taking Maeria by the elbow.
He looked up to Minlee and the baby, feeling uncomfortable with the fact that the child was not in his or Maeria's arms. But, someone would have to hold the baby and someone would have to help Maeria, and that could not be the same person. "Are you feeling well? Lean upon me, mistress Maeria."

"Thanks Learith. You are always there for me, aren't you." She says, tired and grateful for his help. "You know, all that you said about your life before the city? I wish for our child to live like that." She says quietly, hopping that will clue him into what is happening. She takes his arm for it's support, forgetting that he is also carrying all the supplies as well.
Minlee, simply astonished with her sister, just walks towards their estate in silence. She doesn't know what to say. As she carries the child, she starts to really look at his face. He really did have her sister's eyes, and her nose as well. She tries to just ignore the fact that the baby is a boy, thinking of it more as a girl for her own sake, and that of her sister's as well.

Learith knows better than to say anything about the situation before he has a better hold on it. He suspected that the women were hiding something, not from him in particular, but from the strangers that they passed in the market place. "All will be well," he assured Mearia, always one for few words.
When they got to the estate, Learith helped settle Mearia into a bedroom to rest, since she seemed to need it so. "We will care for the baby," he promised, and wondered where Minlee had gone, and what all the fuss was about.

Minlee, upon arriving at the estate, immediately started to set up some supplies. She wasn't happy with the stunt her sister just pulled, but would support her anyway. She also placed the baby on the couch, for he was sleeping at the moment.
Meanwhile, Minlee's sister was sound asleep already in the other room. She didn't even get to say what she wanted to her love. He would have to find Minlee to get any answers now.

Learith left the room quietly, seeking out his child. He assumed so far that it was a girl, yet he loved the child all the same. This was a strange situation for him, since usually fathers are not acknowledged in the least, and do not get to see their child, male or female. A child that comes back to an estate could be yours... or any one else's. It was usually so hush-hush. Yet Mearia had told him, and had sounded so sure that it was his. She had also said so many other things that he had no choice to believe although his doubts could not be vanquished.
"Ma'am?" he asked as he joined Minlee, head bowed. "May I assist you with this child?" Please?

"Your child is sleeping on the couch. Just, keep an eye on him would you." She casually slips the gender in, not even noticing that she said it. "Be careful. Babies are very frail." She busies herself once again with gathering supplies. She would have to send her sister out of the city soon, or the guards will catch her before she gets out the door.
(Minlee will neither assist, nor hinder the guards. She will help her sister to the best of her abilities without getting into legal trouble.)
