Nothing happened when Jareth pressed against the walls. "I don't think there's anything there..." Jowy said, glancing around and hoping to find something extraordinary.

The blonde boy politely bowed to Thelesis in welcome, then turned to Alluna. "I don't know how old the castle is. I just got here a few days ago..." he trailed off, thinking.

"I think Ralia might know though," he added finally. "But she's not here. I wonder if there's any other way to find out how old it is..."

He finally turned to Chrys, who was banging on the walls. "P-please don't..." he began.

Jowy stopped suddenly, tangled in fear when he suddenly heard the deafening noise of tumbling rocks from below. "Oh, no!" he exclaimed. "RALIA!" Tears emerged from his eyes, afraid that something happened to his mistress.

Gospel was in the process of giving the cocky human a snappish response when the tumbling rocks cut him off, and he sniffed the air to see if the scent had changed any. "That came from below the floor," he muttered, almost conceding defeat that the human may have had a point - almost. After all, his fervent searching of the walls had been fruitless anyway.

Instead, Gospel crouched back down to eye level with Jowy and asked him patiently, "This obviously is not the lowest floor of the castle - do you have any idea how to get lower?" He had much more patience with little ones, human or not, than he did adults, so he was willing to work with this one's concern. "I assure you I - we - will find her." He could not promise they would find her before any harm came to her much as he would have liked to, but he would do his best.

Alluna grabbed on to the floor tightly when she heard the rocks and the vibrations reached her. The voices of the earth spirits reached her as well, their cries almost deafening. She cringed. Wind spirits were now well within her reach and she looked at the group. Her voice was low, for she didn't know how well they would take her suggestion.

"Should I ask them if they know of a switch?"

There was a chance the spirits would know, and channeling them was the easiest path to questioning them, though she would temporarily be very out of it. Vaguely she wondered if there was a superstitious one in the bunch. Sometimes in the village, when she was channeling, she would be walking around like a wraith, in the dead of night singing. On more than one occassion she'd been hit with various objects from people tryin to 'snap her out of it'.

((I'm going to assume that she did, in fact, bang on the walls, since there is enough response to it. >.< ))

Chrys cracked her knuckles, looking unimpressed. "Jowy, these walls are too thin. There is something...foul, afoot." She turned her dark gaze upon those gathered. The woman felt their host was all right; in fact, she hoped the ruckus alerted her that they were looking for her, so that maybe she would make noise or somehow let them know where she was. But the walls...she hadn't even used a fraction of her strength, yet something had dislodged easily! There was more than a hidden room here. For all she knew, there was a seperate part of the castle - multiple rooms - that were hidden.

"We need to go to the source," she said simply, crossing her arms over her chest. "When we find the mystery, we can start to find Ralia. She'll be fine, little one. Be positive."

((Eh, sorry Chrystali, I must have skimmed your post too quickly. sweatdrop ))

"The walls are too thin?" repeated Jowy. "I fell on the floor the other day, and nothing happened." He gestured to the other side of the dungeon, where there was no imprint at all. "I wonder what could be happening."

He tilted his head in confusion when Alluna asked her question. "What do you mean? Who is 'them'? Your friends? Can they help us?"

Gospel frowned at Alluna but nodded in response, knowing what she meant. "They would probably have a better idea than any of us who have not been here but a few moments," he stated. He felt that if there was anything suspicious at all, the spirits would most likely know about it. "I cannot smell anything," he reluctantly admitted, still crouched by Jowy. "There is too much dust clogging the air."

((It's okay Lumin-chan, don't want to hold up the RP anyway. X3))

Chrys rolled her eyes, tapping her clawed fingers against her arm. First secret panels, now spirits? Can't these people base anything off of logic? Even if there were spirits, why would they help this motley group of intruders to their home? Would they even know what a switch was? And if it wasn't a switch, weren't they just wasting more time? Too many questions, and not enough answers; that was no way to go about an investigation.

"Do what you must," she said kindly, keeping all of her inner thoughts to herself. Standing around was getting them nowhere. They'd already confirmed that there was more to the building than a mere room; why everyone wanted to ask spirits about it rather than do something themselves was beyond frustrating to the dark woman. She'd let them play their little game. Part of her hoped the spirits would be helpful, simply because they'd wasted enough time chasing shadows. They needed to do more and wonder less.

"Hmph..."

Leaning against the wall Jareth rubbed his chin quietly then closed his eyes for a moment. He pulled back the unusual sleeves on his arms and looked at the chains that were seared into his arms.

"Pay heed, Alluna perhaps may be speaking the truth. I can read your eyes...you doubt her. You think her to be crazy. There is always more to this world than what you see."

Jareth smirked his eyes taking on a wolfish appearance as he smirked darkly. He really couldnt stand this arrogant woman named Chrys, nor could he stand the kobold. He was growing very tired of their high and mighty arrogance. He reached back and pulled a sword out of his unusual shield scabbard and ran his index finger along the edge. This was how the mercenary kept his cool he examined his swords silently.

Chrys turned her gaze to Jareth, eyes narrowing slightly. Who was this human to assume he knew what she was thinking? He had no idea what he was talking about, not when it came to her. "I do not think the lady is crazy, good sir," she said mildly, still unimpressed, "I know spirits exist and can communicate. Please don't think me so daft." She didn't want to get dragged into a fight, least of all over a complex with humans.

Chrys sighed quietly before airing out some of her thoughts, since everyone seemed to think so ill of her. "I am concerned for our hostess. I am not used to waiting around during a rescue mission. More over, I feel this castle has more to it than any of us are aware of, and it disquiets me." She was becoming annoyed with the mindset that the group seemed to be in; she didn't need to suffer the self-confidence everyone exuded if they truly felt they could find the hostess. "We all have different methods," she said simply, frowning at the assumptions being made so soon, "I am not used to the ones offered. Because I do not incorporate them does not mean I find them useless."

Not useless, no, just out dated. She scratched her jaw in thought, making a mental note to keep herself more guarded. Chrys wanted to be open and work with the group, but if this was the attitude she was going to have to bear, she'd just as soon stand by and let the humanoids deal with the damage.

Gospel nodded in agreement with Chrys. "Indeed," he stated. "This is a very old castle with, I'm sure, many spirits housing it - the spirits residing here will more than likely know of ways to get to the lower levels which would take us longer than necessary to find." He ruffled Jowy's hair in an attempt to get him to relax if only a little. "And the longer we take, the more distressed the little one is going to get."

"If there wasn't a tile on the wall that caused a passage to open there could be something on the floor then. Like you people say it is probably an old castle..."

Jareth walked away from the wall sheathing the sword back into the shield, he began to scan the floor for some loose floor tile. After glaring at the two who have been a thorn in his side since the search began.

"And before you two start to doubt me again, try thinking about how unusual it is for someone to just disappear suddenly in a dungeon with no apparent passage ways. Secret passage, secret room same thing. You gotta have a passage to enter a room...now c'mon we need to find our hostess for the kid there."

Chrys rolled her eyes inwardly at Jareth's haughty response, outwardly keeping her face neutral. He was the one who started to pick a fight, not her; as far as she was concerned, he wasn't worth the effort. "Did anyone here say they were doubting you? Let's not fight, and do whatever it is you need to do." Where did this guy get his ideas? He was pulling words and assumptions out of thin air; the woman decided she'd stay quiet unless she had an observation to make. She'd let Jareth do whatever it was he thought he could do.

She glanced over to the kobold - seeming to be the only one with a clue, even if he was arrogant - before shrugging at Jareth, giving him a wave of her clawed hands to continue. Chrys didn't want to hold up the investigation, she'd already SAID that; she'd also said she knew there was more than a mere passage, and that something as simple as a switch didn't seem likely. Humans didn't have much of a capacity to listen, it seemed. The woman crossed her arms, dropping her dark gaze almost sadly; Jowy was witness to the ugly part of humanity, at a time he needed it the least.

"Well you've been finding fault with me since we met woman. You and the Kobold...let me ask you have you been imprisoned for something you couldn't help? Exiled because you were no longer needed...or had red hot chains wrapped around your arms in a brutal torture called binding the wolf?"

Jareth then pulled the sleeves on his arms back revealing the chains on his arms, they were seared right into the flesh of his arms. He then pushed the sleeves back down and turned his attention to the floor as he began to look for something that was out of place.

"If not, then don't think Im arrogant...I have seen things that no person should have to see within a life time. Now if you two don't mind how about you try and do something besides watch from the side lines. It will go much more smoothely and progress faster if you two helped."

Chrys said nothing, her eyes flicking to Jareth's scars, then back to his face as he unleashed a tirade of...something. Something that had built up. She wondered if the castle had brought something to mind, but she also found she didn't care; she didn't wear clothes that completely covered her body because she liked it. The woman simply didn't flaunt her past and the pains it had caused...the questions it brought weren't ones she welcomed.

After a moment to make sure her voice wasn't dry, she asked quite normally, "And what would you like us to do, Jareth? Look for a stone that seems out of place, in a dungeon that was laid with fine masonry? To press on every one, and hope that our strength is equal to the magic used to lay the foundation?" There was no sarcasm or chiding in her voice. The question was an honest one. "If I knew how to help you, I would have already. I was under the impression we were going to speak with the spirits." She turned her dark purpel gaze to the other female who had mentioned it, quirking a slender white brow in question.

"All of this bickering is only wasting more time than we can spare in addition to distressing the little one further," Gospel rumbled, his annoyance finally showing through though he was reining it in carefully to avoid distressing Jowy. He placed a hand on the boy's shoulder to try to reassure him as he continued, "Fondle the stones to the end of time if it will give you some sense of satisfaction, sir, but I suggest we either work together to solve this mystery or go our separate ways and possibly make the situation worse." The kobold turned to Alluna once more. "Please, miss, if you would."
