I like most of them. Viz has good Yu Watase, Tokyopop has a huge selection and Furuba and Battle Royale, Del Rey has xxxHolic heart , Broccoli has Juvenile Orion. It's such a hard choice! ^_^

Personally, I like Viz, Dark Horse, Tokyopop, and ADV for the titles they liscence. Viz has Shonen Jump, Shojo Beat, Naruto, Bleach, and Kenshin. ADV has great titles like Azumanga Daioh, Chrono Crusade, and Cromartie Highschool. Tokyopop has liscensed loads of different manga. Dark Horse, however, has not only classics such as Akira and Ghost in the Shell, but the quallity of their books is top notch! 3nodding So I guess I don't really have much of a preference.

Even though Tokyopop uses slang, which I don't like, they still are very cool. I like the interesting things they added to the end of the Furuba manga. I also like how they have those manga contests. It's very nice of them to encourage this.

I voted for Tokyopop mainly because they're the company I usually buy from, and I like the way they print their manga. An example: whereas Viz aalters the art of a manga to put in sound effects, Tokyopop doesn't, and sometimes puts in the translations next to the sound effects. I wish Viz did not edit the manga in that way, and I wish that Tokyopop would translate more of the sound effects and other Japanese scribbles in their manga. I can read hiragana and katakana, but not everyone can, and so I think the absence of a sound effect translation can be troubling to some readers (especially when something in kanji comes up!). Although I don't pay attention to sound effects TOO much, what Viz does is very distracting and irritating, grr, makes me so mad.
I don't know as much about the other publishers. I like Dark Horse's rendition of Oh My Goddess! a lot, though. Oh! Another thing about Viz! The way they rewrote Hunter x Hunter REALLY made me mad. So I think writing is an issue. The original words did not need to be changed so much to be understood.
EDIT: Something about Tokyopop which bugs me is their consistent typos and editing mistakes. I'm a bit of a grammar who', so to see some things spelled wrong or without proper punctuation is incredibly annoying. And Viz made a LOT of mistakes in their "Battle Royale" novel. As for editing mistakes, sometimes Japanese text is left in the bubbles, or nothing is put into a bubble, or the words for a bubble are floating somewhere in the picture. This is VERY BAD.

Although the majority of my manga is Tokyopop, that's mostly because they've probably got one of the largest manga libraries right now. I buy from all companies, if I can.

I chose Del Ray because even though I have more from other companies, I like how they translate them and how they have so much at the end of their books... And my favorite series, Tsubasa Resevoir is translated by them at a decent pace... now if only they could lower the price a little stare

I'm too lazy to read this whole board, so i'm sorry if this has already been said a million times.
I like Tokyopop's manga the best, as far as what they have published.
As far as actual QUALITY goes, I like ADV and Del Rey. I think they did a fabulous job with Tsubasa even though I didn't like it that much. The cover was appealing, and it didn't use simple, downloadable fonts like Tokyopop does. Tsubasa had smooth, nice paper that didn't rip or crinkle as easily.
As far as ADV goes... I liked the nice, shiny cover of Chrono Crusade and the color pages they included.
Tokyopop... overall has released the most, and has the best website. But my biggest complaint is that the spines don't match. I have eight volumes of Chobits. None of them match. It drives me insane to look at. domokun

*sighs* All I can get around here is Tokyopop, or, sometime, Ranma 1/2 from VIZ... that's it, though

Tokyopop and Viz translate most of my perferred titles, but Del Rey does a very good job with the translation itself (they have cultural notes at the back of the books, as opposed to just changing the dialouge)
