well i saw the thread and wondered ... y is everyone talking about tyr , i thought well i must listen to them maybe ill find a new genre ill like ... soon after 2 or 3 songs of tyr i found that i wasted 15 precious minutes of my life sweatdrop (dont take this as an offense i just get bored by the speed in the music)

Well not everybody likes Tyr, and not everbody likes slower paced music.
But I appreciate their talent and their style. I appreciate their sound and I appreciate their pace.

I must apologise for not going to see Týr live at Tuska on Sunday. They played at the same time as Nile. And since I'd heard Nile before, I opted to go see them instead.
My friend went to see Týr though, since she prefers folk and viking metal to death metal. She'd never heard them before either, but she enjoyed the show a lot.

it's been a while since i listened to them, i forget what else i really liked, but hail to the hammer was awesome

That's a great song, but I liked the next two albums after it more.
