Tsuki wandered the halls of the White Mage tower as she contemplated her next move.
'I don't know where Toleranth is right now, for all I know he's at that battle. I've got a tower full of battle ready civilian-soldiers and I can't do anything with them. My best bet is to teleport back to the Resistance to see if Tolly is there. If not, I'll come back and try again later...'
Her thoughts were cut off as someone who obviously had just awoken came up to her and said, "My lady! I don't understand...you've been dead for more than a decade! How can you be here with us?!"
Tsuki looked at the ground, it was very interesting just then. (It was becoming awkward for people to keep asking that.) Suddenly, she looked up and said, "Well, about that...I got...better?"
-that was annoying Faith

(I see, and I catch a little of the humor in it. I guess i had to be in the know to understand the joke better, but i'll take your word on it being a knock out laugh.I'm waiting on Auren to drop my children off at Inthe or the tower. From there I can post again here. Until then, i'm stuck here.)

Yumiru woke up with a start, sitting up rather quickly only to find that was not a go idea for the pain it caused. The spots in her eyes eventually went away, but she noticed they were in a small encampment. Hiyru was up but not talking to anyone, just working on a small dish of rations by the look of it.
Yumiru checked herself out to noticed she was a mummy of bandages everywhere, but judging by the many areas she had pain from it prolly was a good idea she didn't see what lied beneth them.
"You hungry?" Yumiru snapped her head around just in time to grab a plate thrust at her good arm from Hiyru who had eaten half. Yumiru said nothing but found it rather hard to balance the plate and eat with one arm.
Hiyru waited for yumiru to say something, but she didn't and just conceded to setting the plate on the ground and eating with her fingers.

A Wyvern Rider ducked into the tent, missing her armor, with her only weapon being a knife tucked into the small of her back. A red bandanna tied to her left arm signified she knew field medicine. Nothing major, but being able to splint bones, suture wounds, and how to clean them was a highly valued skill.
"Oh come now, Toleranth's kids should be more civilized then that, hm?" She said with a grin. Her face bore the marks of her daemonic form now, with slanted eyes, fangs, and evil looking eyes, that resembled those of a Dragon."
She gestured over to a fork and knife tucked in a napkin. "Listen, your father is coming. We're quite hidden from Laos' forces. I've managed to banadage and splint a lot of your wounds, and clean them, but you still have a long road without healing magic. So in the meantime, make yourselves comfortable. Do you require anything, Mistress and Master?"

Hiyru chuckled; "Civilized, for months that has been a dream gone in a flash of light, and one by one those who protected us disappear. There is nothing civilized left in the world, only survival, and hope for another day of life."
Yumiru said nothing and looked at her fingers, then to the fork and knife, then went back to eating with her hands, because what was the point of picking up them now that her hand was dirty. Hiyru was waiting for her response but it never came. Hiyru shrugged and looked to the rider; "She hasn't spoken a word since she came to, but I'd give it a few hours."
Yumiru finished and slid the rest back over to Hiyru; "Thanks Hiyru, but Miss our father is dead. Whoever is coming is nothing more then some demon who can manage shape changing form. I will only speak to lady Nadira to whom our last protector was told to take us to should we be foreced to flee."

The Wyvern chuckled. "I was killed fifteen years ago when Laos attacked Teir. And here I am, talking to you. I'm or rather was, only human. Your father is something else entirely." She said with a warm grin. "Though I will admit, a lot of things out of our league has been going down, and there's nothing but us grunts, and all we can do is just take it like the men and women we are, and walk away with a smile."
She sat down, "So here I am, waiting on you hand on foot. Are you sure you don't need anything?"

Hiyru nodded; "I was all about leaving that clearing when I smelled the demons, but Yamiru is family and she wouldn't budge until the last second. So I ended up nearly getting killed with her."
Yumiru was still bitter but shook her head; "I need nothing more, but thank you for helping out. However, please treat me no different then a commoner, my name is Yumiru and that is my brother Hiyru, and I can pull my wieght around here." yumiru inherited some of her father bullheaded ness and stood up which was a mistake because she fell right back over and gritted her teeth against the pain.
Hiyru rolled his eyes; "The only thing your gonna pull is the doc's stiches, and you see what I got to deal with Miss. I swear she worse then dad was at times."

"I would rather you wouldn't budge at all. The both of you. I'm the healer here. It doesn't matter if you're a commoner or not, I'd still tell you to sit still and find somebody to do everything for you. The wounded should not be up and about. That's just asking for trouble."

Hiyru put Yumiru back the way she was. "I would stay still but I'm jumpy with all the smells about, and no offense but your wyverns are not exactly reeking of pet me i'm safe. However, I havn't left the tent yet, and don't plan on it."
"So what happened after I ducked back down into the trees?" The question was out of the blue from Yumiru. "Last thing I remember was seeing a few demons to the left and moving to look forward then pain."

"And they shouldn't. Each one is a trained killer as smart as your average person. As for your little escape trip, you're lucky we were in the area doing a routine patrol. Laos thinks its some renegade humans who have good training and weapons, so we'll let him think that. We essentially saw you make the escape attempt, find some trees, and assorted hard objects. We moved in, started killing stuff, then got some reinforcements, and killed some more stuff. Currently, we're out in the middle of nowhere, Esperanza, waiting for your Father. Come nightfall, we're gonna move closer towards Pearle and Houka."

Hiyru snorted; "Humans with good training and weapons, that is all he thinks of us, wait until I grow up and I'll show him whose gonna be human and whose gonna be dogmeat."
Yumiru looked at her spinted arm; "How are we gonna travel like this?"
-------------------------------------------
The storm front Tolly was using for a shiled was breaking up after it was done dropping all its precipitation and the shearing winds from crossing into another set of wind patterns. Tolly didn't mind this because he was in esperanza now, and only a few leagues from the encampment the setting sun was good for some concelament.
He set down on the edge of the encampement folding his wings. He still hadn't bothered to wash off the blood spatter of the demons he killed. "I wish to speak to the commander about my children." Tolly said nothing more nor did he move a single step in any direction.

The sentry at the post watched him come and land, before saluting sharply. "Sir, if you mind shifting to human form, I'll take you right to him."

Shavas woke with a start and snorted at her own foolishness, it seemed she'd fallen asleep atop one of the battlements. After Freya and the rest had left the mage had hurridly climbed the winding steps leading up to the top of the blasted tower. In her rush she had completely forgotten about her rare talent and therefore exhausted herself climbing the old fashioned way.
Nevertheless she had watched the battle unfold, and even blasted a few of the demons trying to sneak up from behind. Their attacks, had the succeeded may have turned the tide of battle. They had not succeeded however Shavas reminded herself with a rather smug smile.
Toleranth's children were safe and in the capable hands of the wyverrn armsmen.
(I'll bring in Nadira in a little bit I have to go tend to a few things)
