I'm pretty strong when it comes to horror movies. There's this scene from Eath The Schoolgirl, where the killer stabs this girl in the gut, then pulls the knife all the way up to her chest, so her guts starts falling out. Then, she reaches down and stuffs it all back inside. Then the killer stabs her in the mouth. Oh, then he jacks off on top of her. Didn't even phase me. There was a scene, however, that made me cringe just a little bit, the first time I saw it. It was from Lucio Fulci's Zombie 2, where this girl gets a piece of wood plunged into her eye. You can watch that scene here

The only thing that makes me cringe isn't horror. It is those makeover shows when they put a needle into the patients eye to fix it.
Hell, I thought that all of the Saw series was a comedy. But when I see something like that from a doctor that is supposed to help you, then that is really disturbing.

I don't really cringe at anything, but when I wach Ichi the Killer, I literally think I'm going to die when they slice that girls nipples off. I seriously have to sit there cradling my boobs for about a day afterwards.

It bothers the s**t out of me when people get their eyes ******** with, especially if someone's shoving their thumbs into them a la 28 Days (and Weeks) Later.
Also, seriously, anything that has to do with fingernails or toenails getting ripped off makes me ******** crazy.
Other than that, I get bothered when animals are hurt. That's kind of lame of me, I guess.

Kaydienne Saw II made me cringe when she was thrown into the hole with all the needles, but thats because I hate needles and freak out if one gets near me due to a childhood incident. I can't watch that scene due to a fear of needles. It's funny when my friend and I saw SAW II in the theater, we were both cringing and just writhing in our seats and he'd already seen it once before! As for what makes me squirm, it's realistic violence. Over the top gore with outrageous amounts of blood make me a little uncomfortable but it's the realistic stuff like Last House on the Left, Cannibal Holocaust and Salo, the 120 Days of Sodom that almost makes me hide my face in fear. However, I've never been physically ill during a movie or felt like that afterwards. Although I did feel like crying after Cannibal Holocaust. And possibly TCM. I watched that movie and I kept saying to myself in my head "WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS?!! WHO LIKES THIS STUFF?!? WHY AM I WATCHING THIS?!!?" and just feeling like I was the one being tortured. EDIT: There is one thing in horror movies that I absolutely cannot watch and will actually cover my face when I see it. It's glowing eyes. I'm not talking about silly demon eyes, I'm talking like the bright white eyes in The Grudge (sort of) or the yellow inhuman eyes from Suspiria and Inferno (s**t s**t s**t....just thinking abou them!! crying ).

I hate things to do with eyes, but that was just like stuffing a cocktail stick into marsipan.stu_moore The only thing that makes me cringe isn't horror. It is those makeover shows when they put a needle into the patients eye to fix it. I totally agree with you. I hate watching laser eye surgery and all that cal where they peel back skin offa the eye and such. It's horrible.
Also, in Saw3 with the drilling and the skull and the circular saw. I heaved at that. I now have a fear of drills thanks to that film and the fact that the day after i saw it, my brother tries to attack me with a drill...Haha.

ZZombieSSheep Not a lot of things make me feel uncomfortable or cringe in horror movies, but a few things that do are like, bones breaking and you can see their limb/etc. all f-ed up and crooked, bleh! Or when the victims (or whomevers) achilles heel/tendon is cut, eeeeewewewewew, god that gives me the heebie-jeebies! (like in the House Of Wax re-makes, the guy peeks out a secret trap door in the ground, and takes scissors and cuts the guys achilles heel.. ahhhh! I always curl my feet under me or somethign when I see scenes like that. And I don't always like when people are melting or getting deformed, although it is usually funny, not scary, to me. And sometimes when zombies are eating humand flesh, It has only disturbed me in one movie so far, but it was real graphic and sick, even though it was a b-movie that was sort of supposed to make fun of zombie movies (I think it was one of The Return Of The Living Dead's, maybe, i forget. i think it took place at a rave) But I guess that is mostly what makes me cringe. But I won't cringe or anything if, say, Jason chops someone's head off or impales them with a corkscrew in the face mrgreen I agree with everything you said....especially the scene in the House of Wax remake w/ the guys achilles heel/tendon. A big ICK! But mainly snapping bones...expecially when someone gets their neck snapped. That has always gon through me. The original Night of the Living Dead really creeps me out. Maybe cuz it's in B&W...or it was filmed in Pittsburgh, PA...which is like an hour or so from where I live.

Well 99.99% of the time I never get freaked out over anthing no matter what it is. I make a habit out of laughing insanely at horror movies. Like Nightmare on Elm Street, great horror classic that scared the s**t out of millions of Americans and possibly other people. However, it gives me a really horrible case that is the giggles. Something about getting sucked into your bed and getting..torn to pieces i guess apparently makes me laugh. The only movie that ever made me freak out at all was Stephen King's "It." I love Stephen King but that movie literally scared me shitless. I had to shield my eyes through out most of the movie due to my horrible fear(phobia) of clowns.(thats all due to a wonderful circus incident were a gut fell from the highwire and made a nice cruching sound. What made it better was the fact that the guy said "It's ok, he knew how to fall." Then he brought the clowns out to cheer people up and they practically raped me...but then I kicked him in the groin. mrgreen TAKE THAT YOU CLOWNS!)

The only thing on any horror movie that has ever made me cringe is when someone is being dragged or something and their scraping their finger nails on the walls so hard that they start to snap and break, the sound of the finger nails going "CRUNCH" "CRACK" "POP"!!! It makes me cover my ears every time. (I hate even writing about it because I see pictures in my head of peoples fingure nails breaking off)
