I want to know what the big secret of Lily is. Then I also want to know why Dumbledore trusts Snape. I think I read that that would be explained.

Fear My Bloody Fangs. It won't be a new character. She said the plot-line would have fit into the 1, and 2 books. So its someone we already know. I still think its Hagrid, for reasons unknown to me. Yes, but that doesn't mean there was a character she decided not to bring in. Maybe she left it until now?
But it does have a major part with book 2.

I just had a thought! It might be Blaise Zambini. He was mentioned in earlier books, but he never had a huge part. We don't know if he's a pureblood or not, but I think I remember reading that Blaise might have a part in the story line later.

He was that kid in Slytherin who was sorted last. He's in Harry's year. I don't think a lot has been mentioned about him.

I think it's Godric Gryffindor, for a few reasons:
-It would provide more depth to the fall out between him and Salazar Slytherin.
-It would have fit with the themes and characters of CoS.
-I believe that it's a Pensieve on the cover of the US edition of the 6th book, which would most likely indicate that it is a prominent feature in the story. JKR has already established a pattern of making something that was introduced as a small part of one book into a bigger part of the story two books later (e.g. Animagi in books 1 and 3, and the Polyjuice Potion in books 2 and 4). The Pensieve was introduced in the 4th book, so it would make sense for it to become more important in the 6th book. Perhaps Godric Gryffindor stored his memories? Or maybe there's more that can be done with a Pensieve than we have so far seen.
-The thing that makes me think it's him most of all: His sword. Not only is it very ornate, which could indicate his royalty, but, also, it's a Muggle weapon. Think about it, a wizard/witch's weapon in a fight is his/her wand. What use does he/she have for a sword? I think it could be very likely that one of Gryffindor's parents was a royal Muggle.

I see everyone's thoughts and I have one of my own. Does anyone see that maybe the HBP could be Neville?

KirikoAkushi, good thinking. That makes me wonder. What you said is true. A sword is a muggle weapon. You might be onto something there.
DarkAngel, I always though Neville was a pureblood wizard...

My thoughts on the sword:
Perhaps it ISN'T Godric Gryffindor because with how the Wizarding World seems, it is more geared towards the Middle Ages. In the Middle Ages (and correct me if I'm wrong), the weapon of choice for most nobility was the sword.
Perhaps it was more a sign of his nobility/wealth?
