Ari blinked and stared in shock. Oh boy. Yes, she definately loved her cowboy outfit now. Not that she knew the woman...but there was Gavin...did he have a new guardian? That made her heart feel a little heavy, for his previous guardian had been a friend of hers. Oh well, it seemed there was little she could do about it.
Ina heard the should and quickly covered her ears. They were very sensative, you know! She didn't scream or anything, just let a shudder run through her body from head to tail. Eeehhh, weird sounds.

As Jacob at the candy, it was yet again another thing that obscured him. Except rather then some sort of powder or smoke, it was...ribbons?
And as they faded away, the reason became apparent. Jacob was dressed as a Japanese schoolgirl - complete with knee-high stockings, short flouncy skirt, and the typical sailor-top. He was even wearing very feminine shoes...
Poor man.

Dmitri was another to be pitied, it seems. He was also enveloped by a whirl of swirling cloth - not ribbons, but white cloth of some sort. An apron, maybe? Oh, who knows.
What was does know, is that when they disappeared, Dmitri was in a much more revealing outfit...to be specific, a very revealing white dress, with a little nurse cap on his head. Dmitri's costume was, it seemed, a sexy nurse.
Yet again, the poor man.

Ahneta raised her eyebrow as Patricia scremed, before stepping up to.
"Are you alright?"
Complete disinterest in her tone, really. She was only asking since Dacian was busy.

Breath? What was that? Certainly not something Jacob was feeling right now.
Most people turn red when they are embarrassed. Not Jacob. A shade of purple or blue might describe it better.
The top might not have been so bad, but the skirt. Either skirts caused a rapid loss of vision or he was in the process of...
To any onlooker, the position he had passed out in on the floor could not look comfortable.

Dacian blinked at Jacob uncomprehendingly for a moment. Then started to snicker.
And by the time Jacob had passed out on the floor, the mage was on the floor as well - from laughter. As he calmed down, he supposed he could have been a bit more sensetive, but really - it was perfect!
Well, excepting how embaressed the poor man was.
Still snickering, the mage tried to wake Jacob up. Laying on the floor, in that short skirt, well...he had a feeling the man was flashing quite a few people.

Jacob felt groggy for a moment before he realized he had passed out. He began to sit up and-
Wait.
He was laying down. In a skirt.
The speed with which he pulled the skirt over any - ahem - exposed areas was something to laugh at. He was red now, but only because he finally managed to start breathing again. That's not to say he had gotten to the point where he could speak at still. He looked around wildly. At this point there /had/ to be someone here giving him weird looks.

Hearing the scream of one of the other party goers made Dmitri worried too, but it was too late for him, he had eatten his candy and was now dressed as a nurse. He wanted to scream too, or cry, one or the other seemed to be the appropriate reaction, but he was rendered speechless, just looking down at himself.
Tristan's mood however skyrocketed, looking at Dmitri he started snickering, then he just laughed full out. In all his life he had never seen anything that funny in all his life.
Holden just stared, it was an interesting change in the man who was like his uncle and it could very probably cause some trauma in the future... or at least cause some sort of scarring.
Dmitri glared at Tristan, eye twitching a little. Oh he would get him back. He took another handful of candy. He moved a little closer to Tristan who was almost wetting himself as he laughed, not paying attention. It was a sudden movement, a flick of the wrist and Dmitri had managed to throw a heart in the other man's mouth.
Tristan nearly choked on it, but the deed was done, He had swollowed it.

Still occasionally snickering, Dacian tried to restrain himself. Or at least make himself look concerned.
"You alright there, Jacob? I think our random-costume-candies gave startled you a bit.."

It was the typical 'transformation', the same as all the others - except this time, it seemed to be fur that rushed around Tristan. And when it disappeared, the reason for it being fur became obvious.
Tristan was a catboy.
Adorable ears and a tail (that...seemed to be real)...but that was where 'adorable' ended, and something a bit higher on the attraction scale began. Tiny black leather shorts. A mesh shirt. And...a collar, with a little bell on it.
Too bad he didn't come with a leash.

All these changes were giving Ari a headache. She flushed brightly in both surprise and concern as Jacob fell over...in quite a demeaning outfit. Ohhh yes, she really loved her costume now. She took a few steps back, feeling as if everything was a bit overwelming. Everyone was changing...and most not into something pretty. Though the catboy one wasn't so bad. But then...this was the animal lover talking here.
"U-um...are you alright?" she asked Jacob uncertainly.

Jacob opened and closed his mouth, looking like some sort of stupid drowning fish. He gaped for a moment, still unable to to say anything.
He looked up at the lady talking to him and barely managed to nod, afraid he would stop breathing again.
He looked behind him at the loud noise and cloud of.. fur? That had appeared.
Even in his skirt, he was glad he was not /that/ guy.

Tristan noticed the ears first and for a moment he thought he was lucky, but then he noticed the rest of the costume, and he didn't know what to do. He open and closed his mouth repeatedly, trying to say something but nothing was coming.
It was Dmitri's turn to laugh, and he did so, hard. It was the perfect costume for the doctor man too, and that was what made it funny. Back in the day of working in the zoo, Tristan had worked with cats. It was irony, at least Dmitri thought it was, and it was hella funny.
This time Tristan noticed his little boy starng up at them, all wide eyed and realized that this could very well have some lasting impressions. So he bent down to talk to him. "hey Holden why don't you go and play in the play pen with the other kids okay? It looks like fun."
At first Holden didn't listen and instead reached up and grabbed one of Tristan's new ears, "kitty," he said, bringing the grand total of words he had spoken since he had come to be to about ten. He didn't talk much. He also had a very short attention span though and he toddled off to the play pen.
"Come on lets go mingle cat boy," Dmitri said once he regained his breath from laughing, "You got to introduce me to people."
While he would much rather go crawl in a hole, Tristan nodded in reluctant agreement and the two went to go meet/talk with the other people there.

Dacian just chuckled, and patted Jacob on the shoulder. He'd get over it! Especially since there was a much more revealing outfit in the room...although he should probably make introductions.
"Jacob, this is Ari. Ari, this is Jacob - he's just been invited to become a guardian, although his kid hasn't been born yet."
As he glanced over at Tristan and Dmitri, an impish grinned tugged as his lips. Oh my. Ahneta definintly had fun with those costumes. And the two other men were just close enough to hear those other introductions...he didn't know the nurse-guy, but he did know the other.
"And this, is Tristan! Now cat-boy extraordinare, it seems."
((Dacian and Tristan have met before, right?))

Ari let out a breath of relief, bringing a hand to her face. Oie, this was going to be a hell of a party. And she wasn't sure that hell was a good thing at all. She shivered a little, almost wishing she had stayed home. Ina had better have fun at this event!
She nodded to the two men, shifting her gaze with shy uncertainty from Jacob, to Tristan, to Dmitri. She was always a little mousey with new people...just because she really didn't know what to say. "It's...very nice to meet you," she murmured to the three of them, even though one of the men hadn't had their name given.

Jacob slowly stood up, untucking his shirt to see how far down it could cover. He managed to awkwardly cover himself up as much as he could. Not like it was any good, but that was beside the point.
He looked thoroughly confused as he was introduced to Ari. "Eh..um..." He wasn't sure what he could say, and all that came out was a small "sorry?" before he was rushed over to the next person.
Now /this/ guy he could sympathize with. He tried to laugh but it came out more as an awkward choke. "Y-you got it bad too huh?"

Dacian watched the people curiously, leaning against the wall as he did so. He sighed as he realized someone else was coming over, however...
Ahneta.
The woman in question had that little smirk on her lips, as she scanned the people. Ah, she loved her costumes! And she even managed to tweak with the magic so that they fit whomever got stuck with them.
Standing closer to the group (although she thought most of them hadn't noticed her yet), she let out a chuckle.
"Nice legs."
To all of the people there, really, except Dacian. She saw him enough that she knew she couldn't embaress him that easily. To further the embaressment, she made it a point to scan each person very...carefully.

Tristan made an attempt to smile when he was introduced to the other two people, he really did. It was a sheepish half smile, they could probably understand that he was less than happy, they didn't seem at all comfortable about the costume thing either. "Nice to meet you too, Tristan Kane" he held out his hand so he could shake with the new people, "This is my friend Dmitri, he is crashing at my apartment for a bit."
"Nice to meet ya," Dmitri said with a grin, after the inital shock of his costume had worn off, he seemed to be pretty okay with it, though he kept trying to pull the skirt down more. At Ahneta's comment he smirked "If I had known this was gonna happen I would have shaved them this morning."
