KisaMegRiddle I want Star Wars and Lord of the Rings to be re done as musicals. I mean "The Phantom Menace of the Opera" sounds cool right? or combine Lord of the Dance and Lord of the Rings. I found a Star Wars musical somewhere. It was an independantly done thing and was never done onstage for obvious reasons, but I've heard it was good. http://kevin.alfahosting.org/misc/slides/Star Wars - 2004 - Star Wars - The Musical.html Sorry for the OMG HUGE picture, but I couldn't find a smaller one. I believe the same people did this that brought you R2-D2:Beneath the Dome. Or maybe I'm the only geek who knows about that.

Okay. First, I'd love to see "The Princess Bride" as a musical.
Second, I would NOT want to see the horrible movie called "Toxic Avenger" as a musical. Yet, sadly enough, I helped the writer with some ideas for it. *aims a gun at his head and pulls the trigger*
*after a few moments....*
Damn duds.

Pharaoh Ramases Okay. First, I'd love to see "The Princess Bride" as a musical. Your wish is granted. It's being developed. Expected no later then 2007 I think. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... "Labyrinth" and "The Greatest Show on Earth."

I'd LOVE to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory put up as a Broadway show! Or even one of my stories about Jasmine Tao (My book character. Yes, I'm a 12 year old that has already written a 50 chapter book...)

I'll get to my pick soon. But first, I have heard of some plays that were written based off of TV series. Two of them I have performed in were M*A*S*H and Get Smart.
That being said, I think it would be hilarious to see a Broadway version of Family Guy or Monk.
But, at the same time, it would be quite dramatic if some shows like ER or House were turned into Broadway shows.

I have just been inspired. *Goes off to write a song called "Here's What Happened." Just for the heck of it.*

... It's already happening. I'm not too thrilled about it since I don't know how they will translate it completely to stage.

The Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame, dammit. It's a huge success in Germany, I don't know why they're wasting their time with the Little Mermaid and Tarzan on Broadway, when they could have another Beauty and the Beast on their hands!
Also Moulin Rouge, but I imagine that the rights to all the songs would be insane to have to work around.

I like how some of the things in this thread are actually happening:
There is a Lord of the Rings musical. It failed miserably though. Johnny Depp is Sweeny Todd for the movie...and he obviously sings.
Hilarious stuff. I would like to see better Disney musicals. Beauty and the Beast was really really amazing, but I'm kind of scared of the Little Mermaid. Sad sad
Also, good books turning into movies and plays is really sweet.
