wow im shocked to know that there is that many clarinets....i sadly only play Bb clarinet.....i also play the flute and the guitar though......

i started with the Bb clarinet ^_^ and now i'm playing the contrabass ^_^ sooo fun xd

Hey all. =D.
Let's see...I've played many clarinets, started on Bb, but I absolutely love [Like love...to...almost death] playing my eb baby =D It's sooo cute! I just love the tone. xD. But the poor guy has a few cracks in it, from previous players. [He's been dropped multiple times D=] Oh yeah, I played bass clarinet, and contrabass, and alto for awhile as well. Right now I just have them laying all over my room. xD.
Seeing that picture has made me so giddy. xD.

Good luck finding them. Not the contra-bass clarinet. There are several of those around the globe. The one you're reffering to is the octo-contralto clarinet. Mr. Leblanc only made five of those. But the rarest is the octo-contra-bass clarinet. This one is only one of a kind. I stand corrected ^.^;; I feel bad now...

i played a few notes on a bass clarinet, but i can't play it b/c my figures are too small to reach all the buttons.

Once, for our chamber music class, my group, which is all clarinets, did Baby Elephant Walk, from Hatari, and I got to play the E flat clarinet, which was really cool! It was so tiny! Another time, to play the Bass line in Orchestra (we don't have a Bass), I got to play Bass Clarinet. Clarinets rock! heart

I'm thinking of what Sarah said...  I'm still working on convincing my parents to buy me an instrument other than my Bb, which I adore, it's my baby.
But eventually, I'll see how many I can play. I do <3 them. that love is watching someone die...
