Well, I rented Dark Cloud 2 for a couple of days, but I never did get very far in it... and as for Thousand Arms, I've never heard of it, but I've heard of (and played... and REALLY REALLY enjoyed) Wild Arms 3. Anyone else like this game? Go Clive! He is awesome if you put that one attack that requires you to have full FP and an empty gun, but does HUMONGOUS damage on the final hit... can't seem to remember the name...

I wasn't a big fan of WA3. I liked the first two games. What pissed me off about the third was that you couldn't cancel every battle, and the story didn't seem as good. I also hated how you had to reload your weapon every few attacks. My problem with WA2 is that I lost my data twice. First, I lost my memory card (I still haven't found it) and when I started a new game on a different memory card, the game froze in the middle of saving. Both of these were completed games! So angry...

Yeah. It takes a while to get anywhere in. Once you get past Rainbow Butterfly Wood, it gets pretty damn hard. I had upgraded the gun to the Wildcat X and the wrench was... well, I forgot actually. Monica had three or four monster transformations and lots of bracelets to cast spells. It's pretty hard, but worth it. The first one also has a complicated storyline... too complicated for me.

I've always liked FF:Tactics. When Teta died, it was much worse then Aeris or Lenne's death. My second favorite FF is 8. Rinoa is mine!

I wasn't ever a big fan of Aerith. I liked Tifa more anyway, and Yuffie even more than Tifa. So when Aerith died, I think I may have actually laughed a little.

You too? I hated Aeris in a way. She was too goody-goody for my tastes. Tifa is better for Cloud anyway.

yA KNOW, i HAVE THE SAME FEELING... OH WELL, HAS ANYONE HERE (i KNOW FOR A FACT THAT lORD dRAGO HAS) PLAYED tHE lEGEND OF dRAGOON? iT'S ABOUT AS FUN AS ff vii, OR AT LEAST, i THINK SO.

Legend of Dragoon?!?! I love that game. It was my first RPG...great game though no sequel. My favorite character was Rose and (I'm kinda ashamed to admit it) she has had a big impact on me personally. Ah if only there were more LOD fans...

I agree with that... well, I haven't actually beaten the game... in fact, my sister broke my copies of discs 3&4 right when I got to the lost city with the robots that send you to jail. I hated those guys, they got me to stop playing, swear at my T.V., and lob my controller at some random direction. I had never done so, save for three years earlier when I was facing Ruby Weapon on Final Fantasy VII to prove how much better than my friends I was... anyways, enough about that...

You know you can change the law so they'll stop chasing you. It was the first thing I did mrgreen . In fact I changed all the laws, I even changed the shopping law once so I couldn't buy anything. It didn't work out so I just had to go back and change it all over again.

Alas, my copy of LOD is scratched. I was playing the second disc and when I got to the City of Gigantos the game turned black and after several minutes waiting I got frustrated and had to turn it off. crying I knew I should have bought the new one in Circuit City but I didn't have the $10 on me and when I went to buy it it wasn't there anymore. Same thing with FF7, since I lost my copy, or rather my brother lost it. stressed I loved that game crying .

My favorite Final Fantasy thus far is VIII by far, though the only others I've played are VII and X. I plan to go back and replay most of the others when I have time though, and I here XI (III) and IX are good, as well.

I heard IX was good but I can't find it. I saw it one day in the used pile in Game Stop but I didn't have any money at the time and when I returned with my money it was gone crying .

That's so sad. I'm lucky (or unlucky) enough to have a video game collector as a boyfriend. The list he has for me to play will quite literally take me years, and I'll probably never finish them all. He's always adding something new. sweatdrop

I have a scratched LOD disc as well, and after beating Lloyd's girlfriend the second time (in her Dragoon form), the game freezes up. Please, If anyone has a copy, please PM me and I would gladly buy it via mailed cash (and I am not the kind of person to swindle someone, I give my Scout's honor that I will pay if someone is kind enough to sell me a copy.).

I'd love to help, but I can't.

Okay. The last time I said this in the gaming forum, I got chewed out majorly for it, but I stick by this opinion. I feel that the character designs in FFX were much less original than those of the previous games. For starters:

Tidus~Zidane/Cloud
Yuna~Rinoa
Wakka~Zell
Kimahri~Griever ("Kimahri is nothing like Griever! Kimahri is Ronso, and Griever is just a weird lion thing." Yeah... Someone said that.)

This one may take a while to explain. I feel that Seymour is a similar character to Ultimecia. ("Ultimecia is a sorceress! Seymour is Guado!" But they forgot to mention that Seymour is a sorcerer...) Anyway, characer design... Pay attention to the sequence of battles with Seymour. First, his normal form (Ultimecia). Then, his tall floating form with wings (Griever) Next comes his strange form that you fight from the cliff. (Griever junctioned to Ultimecia) And his final form... Well, that's almost an exact replica (at least in appearance) to Ultimecia's final form.

There really aren't a huge amount of Aeris/Aerith fans that I've met.... And hello there Final Fantasy in Grammar Mode thread.
