OrangePip Hey, I'm OrangePip, But please call me Pip. I got into Apocalyptica because of the 'Bittersweet' and 'Life Burns' tracks they did with The Rasmus, and because I'm a cellist and I love the way they use cellos to make music that isn't classical. (Not that I have anything against classical, I just get rather too much of it). I've played Apocalyptica songs with a cello quartet, and with a group of a cello, two violins and two singers. I'm desperately waiting for them to go on tour again, so I can see them live!
... lecture over redface Awesome! Man I wish I was a violinist, or cello player...anywho! that would be quite spiffy if they did go on tour.

silentxphantom Hi! I'm silentxphantom, or Anna Kate. You can call me either of those, or Tate, Padfoot, or Sweetums. I'm 18, a girl, and from Georgia, whether or not you care.
I learned about Apocalyptica in 8th grade (which was five years ago) when my orchestra teacher (violas rock, baby) played Apocalyptica because a quartet (three cellos and an electric violin) was playing Hope at the next high school orchestra concert. I don't remember which song he played for us, but it was one of the Metallica ones I think. Anyways, I borrowed a CD from a girl that rode my bus and was playing in the quartet. It was love at first chord.
Yeah, so I suppose my favorite songs would be Hope, vol. II, Betrayal, and bugger it if I've forgotten the names of the ones... I bought the Best Of CD in Vienna this summer and I've not been awesome like I normally am about memorizing every song and name. Oh, well, I do love just about every song with vocals. My favorite disc would probably be the best of set. Inquisition Symphony's not bad either.
One thing I've always wanted to hear is the Apo version of O Holy Night, which is my favorite carol. Unfortunately, you can't get that CD. BLAGHGH. I also am biding my time until Apo comes within a state or two of me so that I can see them live! That would be awesome!
Well, that's probably more than anyone here ever wanted to know about me, but I'm sort of hyperactive today. I hope that there are cool people on here. Oh, wait, there has to be--this is an Apoclyptica fan guild! Wheeeo! welcome! such a colorful intro, and I meen that in many ways ^^ I too wish to see them live, but sadly, I live in a crappy florida city, sooo yeah they'll never come here, and I'm too poor to go anywhere crying

I actually live in a large city, but the closest they've come was Boston I think. Or somewhere equally not-going-to-happen.

Well as the name reads I am Nockz ^^ I am new to gaia but have liked Apocalyptica for almost a year now. My friend showed me Fade to Black on his Ipod and I was blown away. I bought "Plays Metallica by four cellos" a few months back and two weeks ago I have bought their self titled album. Sadly they are the only 2 albums available in my music store (well one of em anyway lol) I play keyboard and that features a crappy cello sound but i know a few pieces of theirs on it.
Fav songs by Apocalyptica: Fisheye Quutamo Hope vol.II Heat ITHOTMK Seek & Destroy (Metallica cover) Angel Of death (slayer cover featured on their myspace)

I first heard Somewhere around Nothing from my friend and i loved it and downloaded Reflections. Since then, i started playing my viola upside down like a cello and i play their songs on it. I might even take the cello next year! I have some songs from Inquisition Symphony and Cult and Metallica Played by Four Cellos. I love that they can take such a classical instrument and play it in a way no one expect. I think they're the best band ever heart heart heart
