The purple flames don't match anything and don't really add to the look. That, and get rid of the white laurel thing on your head for the same reason.

ok, well, now it just looks cluttered because you didn't get rid of anything and you added a whole lot of junk.

I like the use of the Damascus armor, but I'd have to admit that all black avis are not in the least original, and black/red avis are pretty similar in that they're some of the most common color combinations you will see.
Try to incorporate more colors...if only because it's extremely hard to make an original looking avi when everyone's exhausted the most common color combinations.

But you need something reddish colored more near the bottom.
