You're going to give up just because for one time, one single election in your long life as an able-bodied member of the electorate you're going to give up? I just turned 18. I'm just eligible to vote this year, and in both elections I have participated in, my candidates didn't win. There's a third one for the provincial level this month, and I'm not going to let not choosing the winning candidate get me down. I don't have time for it. I know I've done my part my going out and making my voice heard.

If you had not gone out to vote, tihnk of all the other people that could have just decided not to vote. This was another close one, and Bush, though in for one more term, knows that there is significant and undeniable opposition to him among the people. He's a fool not to see that. Many issues, including gay marriage, and smear campaigns seriously polarized this election and most people took the lesser of the two (or even three [see: Nader]) evils, so it wasn't unlikely that many fearing for their wallets, religion, definition of morality and preserving their own patriotism would vote for the one that they're use to. Folly.

No defeatism in here. So he's trying to take your life away, your rights, your emotional well-being, your freedom to be who you are and choose to express yourself as. All you're going to do is stand there and let him do what he wants? Unbelievable.

Sure it would be better if you "gave up your rights." That would just solve everything. That would absolve you from being socially responsible or able to speak up at all. Wouldn't that be great? Think before you speak Matiko. Vocalization can have some serious reprecussions.

If food being pelted at him at his first Inauguration isn't enough to make Bush rethink seeking re-election, then I don't know what protesters are going to use this time. I wonder how the napalm meringue pie is down in D.C. stare

Well, excuse me for being depressed over Kerry's loss at the election...I *am* entitled to express myself however I feel it necessary, and at that moment, I was extremely depressed over it. Attacking me, and making fun of me, isn't going to make me feel any better, nor make me agree with you. If it bothers you that much, over my comments, then ask Vague or Astri to throw me out, rather than trying to make more of spectacle of me.

Well, seeing as how all of you are getting increasingly hostile, with everything I say, why doesn't one of the crew then, do the guild a favor and kick me out, since that *seems* to be the only solution to the issues that surround me. Because, honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of everyone chewing me out because I disagree with them on a subject. It's really getting old and annoying...
